It used to be Westfield, but recently got bought out. Now it's the shops at Santa Anita. The main department stores are JcPenney, Macys, and Nordstrom. There is also a 99 ranch! Plenty of food options here. One of my favorite is Ding Tai Fung, also the Nagi ramen place is another good choice. If you have room for dessert, the Japanese cheesecake at Uncle tetsu is a place I stop for sweets. Plenty of parking, there is usually a lot of parking available at the structure by AMC and Bowlero. read more

Small has gone through a change her State added the Promenade which is an upstairs outdoor area you can walk through but many of the Big Brand stores have left and chosen to leave instead they are many many more food and drink shops Everywhere You See I guess this is a nice thing it is a One-Stop shop if all you want to do is eat and drink and eat and drink some more but it does have some interesting places and stores to keep it fresh but definitely I would say it is not a luxury store or luxury goods Mall like another mall that I do not want to mention in the West and then the other one in Orange County but you know what I mean for what it is it is a very nice Mall read more

Easy access on and off the freeway Ample parking (but be sure you mark your parking spot or you may lose your way) Clean Shops! Shops! Shops! And Guess what? You don't have to go to Japan for Royce Chocolates. There is a Royce corporate shop there! Ended up here while waiting to meet up with a friend of mine and now I know. Right? Literally my top 3 favorite malls for sure. I used to live in the area but now I don't so I'm sad that I have to wait for a weekend that i'm free for several hours to make it worth my trip. There's just so many good stores and places to eat here, it's the best. read more

I'm not a huge fan of shopping - I'm one of those folks that only goes if I already know exactly what I'm looking for and where to find it. I'm not a "browser" at all and I hate crowds - but I do enjoy this mall when I need to visit. It's massive with tons of shops, sit-down restaurants, a sprawling food court, and several entertainment options like AMC, Bowlero, or Dave & Busters. Our fave restaurant is Ramen Nagi - fantastic ramen and service. The hubby's fave shop is Express - he swears by their button up shirts for work. And I come in here mainly for perfume - Jo Malone inside Nordstrom is my absolute fave ever - Jacqueline is the best salesperson so ask for her if you go! It's impressive how clean the whole mall always seems. And they always decorate for the holidays - very festive and I really enjoy it. There are maps and shop directories in plenty of places which is good given how expansive the mall is. It's a tad bougie in here and prices are a bit high - so it's definitely not my go-to for everyday items. They have your typical mall shops but they also have higher end stores like Coach and Lululemon They have plenty of bathrooms and parking - although it gets super crowded in the evenings, weekends, and holidays. But being such a huge space, the crowds don't seem overwhelming. They also have a large play space inside for the kiddos as well as events like Easter Bunny and Santa photo ops. Very family oriented and I always feel safe here. Great location next to Santa Anita race park and the arboretum - and the view of the San Gabriel Mountains from the parking lot is always a welcome sight! read more

I appreciate the festive atmosphere of this mall. It is pleasant to find ample seating areas for relaxation after exploring the premises. However, it is somewhat inconvenient that some food and/or beverage kiosks do not offer tables and chairs for patrons to enjoy their purchases. It is also a bit disheartening to observe individuals occupying seating provided by establishments without making a purchase. I understand that my perspective might sound like a senior citizen, which indeed I am. I believe it is somewhat unfair to businesses when their provided seating is occupied by those who are not patronizing their business. I particularly enjoy the outdoor seating areas on the second floor. They offer a wonderful space to unwind and enjoy a drink from one of the many available options at the mall. My only minor concern is seeing people place their feet on the chairs, effectively occupying two seats. It is interesting to observe that there seems to be a new Asian store whenever I visit this mall. I enjoy going to the new stores with my son. There is even an Asian supermarket present. read more

I've been going to this mall my entire life, I absolutely love it. but for the first time, I am avoiding going there because of the FLIES. They are aggressive and fly into your face, food, and anything you love and care about. They are godless demons and they now own the mall, especially the new malatang place. I felt like if I yawned I would swallow one. It's disgusting, and even moreso knowing they're coming from the horse stables next door. I really hope it can be resolved soon. read more

I've been to the Shops at Santa Anita a handful of times over the years, once for Din Tai Fung before there were locations in closer malls, and twice for family outings to giant indoor playgrounds, which ended in failed attempts to eat at Din Tai Fung. I live too far away to make regular use of the place, but I kind of love it for its flavor of Asian Americana. It's like the valley malls of my youth, but with better eateries and cuter shops, many of them imported from Asia or opened by Asian Americans. Parking is annoying, and the mall is overwhelmingly big if, say, you're alone with two small children and you don't know your way around. It's also a bit of a gauntlet for young kids--lots of kiosks full of toys and candy. The positive side, of course, is that there's plenty to keep the children entertained. I went most recently for a Saturday play date at FunBox, and we spent two more hours at the mall after our FunBox time was up. We traversed the mall to get lunch at Noodle St., then made our way back to the candy kiosk, where the boys got lollipops and chocolate coins and Hi-Chew. We checked out a nice-looking Lunar New Year display, and when it was time to go home, the kids ran around protesting for another ten minutes. They burned off a lot of energy chasing each other and straight-up wrestling in various safe, open spaces. We don't go to indoor malls very often, but they sure are useful for tiring out little ones. If I lived anywhere near Santa Anita, I'd come to the mall often just to eat and run my boys around. I'd recommend it for any of its many mall purposes. Plan ahead if you're counting on a meal at Din Tai Fung. read more

Just so many flies EVERYWHERE! Went to get pizza for the kiddos and flies were on the pizza displays! Flies around other food locations, flies in the restrooms. It was just too much and definitely not fair for the restaurant owners trying to do their business. Management needs to handle this. read more

I've been shopping at this mall ever since they opened (remember when they had a pet store and Broadway department store?). The mall seems to be having a problem with houseflies!!! They are everywhere, in stores and restaurants, etc. I hope management is doing something about it. Aside from the flies, this is a fun mall with a good mix of shops, many of which are geared towards the Asian consumer. I do wish, however, that they'd get a Starbucks. read more

Whether you're craving fast food or a sit down there are plenty of spots to choose from. Chick-fil-A has curbside pick up. Family bathrooms and nursing area make it easy for families. A mall that I don't ever get bored visiting!! I'm always pleased by the selection of stores, activities to do here, and the fantastic food and dessert options to eat from. There's a lot of unique Asian-based shops that I don't see regularly in other malls, and the size and layout of the mall is pretty grand. I like how the mall gets decorated for different holiday seasons, especially for Lunar New Years or Christmas. I find the people that come here too are also very diverse and the atmosphere is always lively. Large parking area!!! read more

I actually found this mall as a means to waste some time ahead of a concert. I had no idea it existed before finding it on Yelp. I followed my GPS to what looked like a small outdoor strip of shops. I thought that was it, but noticed a parking garage and other indicators that there was more to this place. I followed some signs, and much to my surprise, I ended up inside this huge mall that I didn't end up fully exploring. I went all over this place and still didn't make it to all the shopping areas in the 3 hours spent here. They have so many shops! read more

Now this is what I think of when I think of a mall! Wow! This reminds me of being a kid again. I grew up in OC and I would love to go to the mall, even if it was just to window shop. This mall doesn't disappoint! It has lots of food options. LOTS!!! Good stuff too. Not just your typical chain restaurants but good food. Lots of high end places, jewelry stores. Lots of cutesy stores. There's a lot of parking! The mall is two story. It's really lovely. There's a bowling alley, movie theater and gaming space. I found family restrooms on the first level and regular restrooms on the second level. There's probably more than what I found. Lots of space for seating when your legs and feet are tired from shopping and eating. Great mall! read more

I have not been to this mall in at least 15 years! This used to be the place to be. It looks like it still is. I was in town and needed to pick up something so I made the trip to this mall. It was a weekend night and I was lucky to have found easy parking outside of Nordstrom. The mall looks the same and most of the stores were still there, plus a good handful of new ones. It's nice to see that this place is still clean and looks well maintained. read more

The Shops at Santa Anita gave me one of the most unexpected mall experiences due to a power outage. I've never seen it happen before, but I guess these things do happen and may go unannounced. I parked near Bowlero and JCPenney, only to be met with paper signs stating the mall was closed. I saw this across many entrances. Many people came and left after seeing the notice, as the main entrances were blocked off. However, I could still see some lights inside, making the situation even more confusing. Just as I was about to leave, I noticed that 99 Ranch was still open, and to my surprise, entering through there led me into the mall itself. It was an eerie sight--almost all the stores were shut, with the exception of a few restaurants near Nordstrom. After a while, Nordstrom, Forever 21, & JCPenney reopened, but many other stores remained closed. The whole experience felt surreal, almost dystopian. Despite most of the shops being shut, there were still plenty of people walking around the mall, as if waiting for something to happen. In the end, I grabbed some food at 99 Ranch's bakery, making the best out of such a strange shopping trip. read more

I really like this mall I just visited about two weeks ago. They have a great selection of Asian specialty foods, skincare, and toys/things to do. My favorite place in the mall is the Hello Pottery and the bakery upstairs near the Gap. The massage people upstairs could do a little better but I guess because I'm pregnant they didn't want to put too much pressure on me. I felt like they rushed my massage at Diamond massage since it was close to closing time. I have yet to see the entire mall but I loved one of their Korean skincare stores I got a few items, the old navy is nice, Nordstrom employees helped me and told me about my bag that I got how to care for it, the Din tai fung was my first time going and nice. I still want to explore the rest :) especially the market downstairs read more

Been coming here as a kid since it was known as the Santa Anita Fashion Park when I used to live close-by. I've since moved away and unlike other malls around America, this mall continues to grow and improve. I saw it make nice changes as a Westfield Mall and now as The Shops at Santa Anita. On my most recent visit, I saw that there was a new 99 Ranch Market on the East wing where Robinson-May used to be. If you don't mind walking a bit, there's normally enough parking spots available. read more

It's a nice mall to visit, parking is usually easy to find. It's clean and well maintained. Though they are dealing with low tenecy, they get new places opened pretty quickly, it never has the dieing feeling common at today's malls. There are many good restaurants, a theatre, nice selection of shops and an Asian grocery store. Very good selection of everything. It's a pleasant place to spend some time. As far as "value" I'd say the free parking makes this a good choice vs. The Grove. read more

I enjoyed visiting the Shops at Santa Anita recently. Although we went on a hot summer Saturday, parking was easy to find and plenty. The mall has several Asian beauty stores, J!ns glasses store, Uniqlo, just to name a few. It also contains several restaurants such as a nice hot pot place, and other quick bite shops. The only thing I wish it would improve on is the lack of good air circulation and not having A/C in general. I thought it spoiled the otherwise nice indoor mall environment because it made for an unpleasant shopping experience. I didn't want to stay long and all I wanted to do was get out! But there was so much more to explore!!! I love doing window shopping! Perhaps I will return during the cooler season but for now, I am going to put it on a firm pass. read more

I wanted to share a concern about the children's play area at the The Shops at Santa Anita mall. Several of the toys appear worn and potentially unsafe. I noticed chipped plastic on some of the play structures and loose plastic pieces on the ground. The carpet tiles are also frayed and coming up in spots, and I saw a few children trip over them. There were also areas where dried adhesive was exposed. Our family loves coming here with our children and meeting other families in the community, so I wanted to bring this to your attention. It would be wonderful to see the play area refreshed or updated so it can continue to be a safe and enjoyable place for kids. The mall itself is so clean, amazing food options, and great stores! In an era with a lot of traditional shopping, malls are shutting down this place has expanded and done so in a very nice way with some iron and offerings and a nice outdoor area. There is all the regular mall shops that you would find and unlike other malls, which has Gone downhill. This is a shopping center that I think actually continues to work to improve and you can see it in the crowds. The food court is huge and always very busy but if that's so busy that you can't get what you want and they're also several restaurants both some new creative ones as well as old favorites and obviously seems to be enough parking despite how busy it is so even though I Live close to an hour away from this location, it is always a great place to visit for an excellent shopping experience. read more

Love coming here with many different shops and food places to eat. Parking can be a hit or miss depending on the time of the week. Updating mainly to say that the food court area desperately needs better ventilation and stronger A/C. I'm surprised no other review has pointed this out. Everytime you sit in the area to eat, regardless of season, it's so warm and stuffy, even on the side without the overhead glasslight windows. The bathrooms in the food court area also are pungent and stuffy. The rest of your mall is your typical fare. Shops come and go throughout the years. F21 is gone, AE is coming back after having been a tenant 10+ years ago, the Nordstrom is nice, etc. The Gold's Gym is decent. A stupid Pop Mart is coming soon, which will exacerbate the shopper and traffic flow. Parking can be incredibly tough on weekends. read more
