When I called and made an appointment, I expressed to the receptionist that I just needed an adjustment for maintenance as I get an adjustment on a fairly regular basis. When I got there, they gave me an office tour and sat me down in a waiting room. I had already filled out their intake form online. An HOUR later, an HOUR .... the Chiropractor finally comes in, we go through all the questions. She tells me that she would like to do an xray. I'd understand if I was just recovering from an accident and insurance was covering it, but I'm just there for a quick crack and dash. She tells me it's required and its an additional $99 on top of the $70 adjustment. No mention of this prior. Good customer service would've been "Hey we'll do this for free because we dropped the ball and wasted your morning.". but no. I told her my frustration and left am hour 20 after I got there. In response to Dr Shetlin's email: I don't have any ill feelings towards Dr. Shetlin although he does towards me. He's not in the right state of mind and I completely get it. I felt my review was unbiased and objective. I was only writing a review like a usually do. Dr. Shetlin did not bend over backwards for me. I merely just showed up for my appointment. I also asked questions which I did not know were not allowed and frowned upon. I also didn't know that wanting them to obtain a prior authorization and bill my insurance was "wanting everything for free." If I wanted something for free I would have taken him up on the offer of taking their collagen powder that he requested I take "for free". I also apologize for not jumping into a $9,000 package. I only told my experience and I know for a fact people like going to his office if not they wouldn't be open and they wouldn't leave 5 star reviews. I also apologized for your wife's death and told you I was very sorry for your loss. As you told me that's why the eligibility for my insurance was not checked . I've also had family pass away this year. It's hard and it sucks but life doesn't stop & you know this or you wouldn't be in the office or still have it open. You also said that your daughter did the billing and insurance verification but as soon as I showed my ID your front office was able to verify it with out your daughter being their. I was just confused as to why they hadn't done so before. I would highly recommend South Jordan Chiropractic & Wellness. I met Dr. Jay Shetlin by attending his Wednesday night wellness dinner class back in 2017. I would encourage everyone to go to this class it's very helpful in leading a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Shetlin shares his knowledge on the cellular, metabolic and neurological science behind healthy eating & healthy living. He also goes over a wide range of things from REM sleep to accident physics. Dr. Shetlin is a very wise and kind man. I came to Dr. Shetlin's office after a horrific rollover car accident and they've been great! The office is run very efficiently and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. After being a loyal customer for years I'm done - When South Jordan Chiropractic & Wellness cancels your wellness plan because we had to reschedule our update exams due to several surgeries and having to pay those co-pays rather than an extra exam to stay on a wellness plan we have been paying on for over 5 years - but if you want to go somewhere where they make you feel like shit for needing to prioritize EMERGENCY SURGERIES over a re-exam be sure to give them a call - and all Dr Jay Sheltin cares about is bringing people to his "required dinner classes" to get them to sign up - where I have to pay $25 and can't bring kids ON A SCHOOL NIGHT read more

I have gone to about 11 appointments and 1 wellness class. It has made a tremendous difference, and i would say i am probably 80% better already. I grew up in a very health-conscious and medically-astute family of scientists. From a young age, I always knew that eating right and getting proper exercise were the best formula for living a healthy life. But fast forward 33 years: I've had a back injury from a car accident; I'm drinking three cans of caffeinated soda each day, and I have chronic back pain from my desk job as a professional mouse clicker. I am looking at these other reviews and am literally baffled! I can't just say how highly dissatisfied I was but what's more disturbing to me was how unethical and unprofessional Dr Shetlin and his office manager were. I had neck pain from an accident and they wanted me on an extensive overboard treatment plan to suck my PIP (auto protection inisurance) completely dry. I tried explaining how ridiculous this was and they wouldn't have it. Every time I came in to their office I was badgered about a A class that they offer that they require you to pay $25 per person and attend in the evening. I don't have time for that so they offered instead a $20 DVD that I had to purchase I was supposed to watch and take notes for my file. How this pertained to my injury I'll never know, but they certainly want patients to promote Jay Shetlin and his lectures. After I put my foot down and refused to do that he started badgering me about my insurance not paying. Which makes sense now, no insurance wants to pay out to ambulance chasers which is exactly what this office is. His staff is his wife and kids which is fine except they want to overbill my insurance in order to keep their pockets full. So when he started in on me about how I must use one of their "certified attorneys" I was appalled! They gave me names of a few sleezy local attorneys they are in bed with which I absolutely refused. Dr Shetlin proceeds to tell me my $3000 PIP won't be enough we need to get lawyers and start going after every penny we can. I was disgusted I couldn't even stomach showing up to my appointments. I made it clear I have an excellent attorney I could use if needed, but I absolutely don't want to overcharge or over bill the insurance and get lawyers involved if not necessary. Dr. Shetlin told me he would have to meet with my attorney before he would agree to work with him which is absolutely ludicrous. He was adamant about using his attorneys in order to take advantage of insurance. That's not the kind of person I am and I refused to continue any treatment with this facility. Just be careful and know what you're getting into with this guy. I hate to say it because he has another Doctor their who was kind and not crazy but Dr Shetlin is an all out quack. It was a stressful experience and to be constantly badgered was so unprofessional I had to write a review to help any other person who blindly googles Chiropractor in South Jordan. Now you have some groundwork and can make your own decision but at least have been warned. read more

Absolutely loved my experience here. They were extremely professional and my treatment was effective. I went in with a lot of concerns from past injuries, problems with headaches and other aches and pains. They set up an entire plan for me with goals to reach, exercises to incorporate at home and the gym. It was a great experience and I would recommend this place to everyone. I was VERY impressed. We have been going to South Jordan Chiropractic for 2 years now. Dr Shetlin and his staff genuinely care about their patients. It's really refreshing to go in and feel so comfortable and well taken care of. I have never felt pressured into accepting an expensive care plan that I didn't agree with or that I felt was unnecessary. Dr. Shetlin is quite sensitive to the cost of chiropractic care on families and offers various options and classes to help make taking care of your overall health affordable. I got into a car accident first week of January 2018. My lawyer recommended me to get treatment from South Jordan Chiropractor. 3 days after the accident, I could hardly move my right arm, my neck and my right leg. During my initial exam with Dr Wooten, it was so painful to move my right arm. I started doing 4 to 5 days a week treatment and I also attended their dinner classes. I've been a fan of clean diet and exercise for many, many years. However, in 2016, I overdid my cardio exercise using the battle rope resulting in right arm injury. That injury limits my exercise. After the car accident, it's also painful to even walk and painful to move the computer mouse. Thanks a lot to Drs Shetlin/Wooten/Farate treaments. They have a very high tech clinic. I thought my renewed dedication to my clean diet, their recommendation of HBOT(took 3 sessions) and regular adjustments and treatments made me feel so much better. In just less than 75 days of treatments, I am able to do brisk walk, then run. As of last week of March 2018, I can run up to 5 miles daily without pain and no more pain reliever. I am also back to re training MMA. If there's a 10 stars rating, I would give South Jordan Chiropractor a 10. They have friendly staff! I love those quotes coming from their TV. They inspired me so much like healing comes from within and not from a pill! Here's what I believed that healed me: Clean Diet(colorful veggies, organic spinach/arugula/kale/wheatgrass and fruits) and I added no pork/beef meat to my diet.
