I called them to speak with them about their laundry service. They do not fold the clothes. They basically roll the clothing, sheets, etc up and put it in the delivery bag. Let me just say WOW!!! Was there today to launder an oversized comforter...the laundromat was really clean, spacious, easy to navigate. I am not a regular at the laundromat...so of course, had a ton of questions. the staff was awesome...helped me navigate the process, without being condescending or annoyed! the so shore laundry is the most corrupt out fit I've come across, I live in sr hsg and few of the residents use it. first of all they picked up my laundry on tuesday and said it would be done on thursday, came on friday. told a comforter was $35 when it was delivered the price was $55. They said it was a delivery charge, There ads and bag say free pick up and delivery! the tag said it was 51lb but i weighed it at 26 lb. two calls to manager with no response. never again read more

Outrageously expensive and for absolutely no reason. Some of my things came out with stains on them, that hadn't been there before I washed them, and it took over an hour for everything in the dryer to dry. The dryer gives you a whopping 8 minutes per 25¢, which is even more of a complete rip off when the dryer doesn't do its job. I wasn't the only one with this issue either - every single person folding near me was putting things back in because they didn't fully dry. This place is overpriced and the equipment isn't even worth the money you pay to use it. Don't come here. read more

I have used South Shore Laundry for many years for my hair salon . They offered a wash dry fold delivery service for my towels and capes . Over the years I've had a few bumps where they have lost my capes and towels and although they did fix the problem the owner tried to drop me because she said I was hard to please . I somehow worked it out with her because I truly just wanted to continue services as I did not know anyone else in the area who would do my towels . Recently they have been going through lots of drivers so I reached out to the owner to explain and remind her how to get into my building as it is an old building and if we are not open early in the morning I wanted them to drop the towels in the hallway and there was only one way to get into the building that way . One morning I did not receive my towels so I reached out to the owner to ask her what was going on and she told me that all of my doors were locked . I explained to her that I have always made it clear how to navigate the building and this is the same way they have been navigating it for years . She then told me that the driver was a state trooper and he's a pretty smart guy . ( meaning that nothing I was saying was accurate and she was not listening to me that he did not try to access the door he could have gotten in for whatever reason ) she then gave me two weeks notice to find another laundry service and this is not the first time she has done that and told me that I was not worth the money . This was all done through text. Her husband also texted me when he picked up the towels that next week to remind me of my last day . I recently lost two hairstylits so my bags of laundry were smaller than usual and I truly think this is the reason why they dropped me . I've been a very loyal customer always have paid on time and it was made clear to me that most of her business is now closer to Boston and I am out of the way when we were speaking on the phone trying to sort out whatever happened that day with the towels . I am a very reasonable person and if this was out-of-the-way for her and she no longer wanted me as a customer I think she should've picked up the phone and explain to me and I would've understood . I do believe as good business she should have given me the time I needed to find another laundry service . During all of this recent commotion my sales slips coincidentally became in accurate and I went back to look at previous slips and the amounts do not lineup. At this point I realize they were overcharging me so I probably would understand it that they definitely do not want to have me as a customer anymore . I do not understand what I did to deserve this however I found an awesome place that started picking up my laundry and is charging the same per pound and I compared my slips to south shore laundry's and they are much lower . Everything happens for a reason and I am glad that I was able to find another laundry service in such a short period of time . I would have probably have dropped them along time ago if I knew they were better options . I know there are other salons that use them and I heard through the grapevine that they were having similar issues and we're not happy with how the husband treated them when they had an issue .
