The one time I actually need help--getting a rim repaired through a local third-party shop--I'm denied a loaner simply because the work isn't being done at the dealership. I am beyond livid!! My parents own a 2022 Buick Envision that they took in to service for a couple of recalls. My dad wears hearing aids and had just purchased a new pair and left them in their carrying case inside the center console of his vehicle. These hearing aids are very expensive ( more than $6,000) and my parents are paying monthly installments on them. Once the vehicle was ready, my dad picked it up and wanted to use his new hearing aids. Much to his dismay, they were nowhere to be found. I was crushed! I called the service department to ask if the hearing aids might have been found and turned in, but all they could say was that no one had seen them. My dad went back to service to speak to them as well, and nothing. They just shrugged him off and said sorry. How can you just "shrug off" something as important as that ? That's actually a theft! Those hearing aids were taken from my dad's vehicle by someone there when it was left there for the recall. Even though they had no need to even open the center console because the recall area was nowhere near it nor had anything to do with it! Now my parents will be paying on the $6,000 hearing aids that my dad no longer has. That's really sad and upsetting to me. Their nonchalant and non caring attitude about something so expensive that was taken from my elderly parents' vehicle while it was there is disgusting and sickening!! My dad has yet to receive a follow-up call to see if there is anything that they can do to help, which I'm sure they could, but don't. So please, before you take your vehicle for service to this place, remove all your belongings and especially anything of value that you want back...it may not be in your vehicle when you pick it up. They worked with me to ensure all my expectations were met. Also got to meet and with Joe, the sales manager. A true professional. I would also like to take a minute to praise Linda in the Service Department. She has a great future and I hope South Texas recognizes what a great asset she is. Today I took the Denali in for its first service. It was completed in a respectable time. The truck was cleaned, and ready to go when Linda came to get me. It turns out my salesperson gets sick Friday i call on Saturday morning and speak to the finance manager Mr. Joe Salinas and assures me the deal has been approved and my truck will be ready to be delivered on Monday. Monday comes around and Mr Salinas calls me assuring me again that everything is fine, He calls me back 15 min later to let me know that another salesperson sold the truck without him knowing, Needless to say he ruined our family's Christmas week. I went to South Texas GMC. On March 31st I signed finance paper work and left a down payment for a Terrain. I was told that I would receive it on Monday April 2nd. However, it didn't come in. I was disappointed because I was about to sign paperwork to purchase a Honda on March 31st but was told that I could have the Terrain, and some extras, that was coming on Monday the 2nd. So I left the Honda dealership while finance was preparing my paperwork for a Honda. Again, I was assured the vehicle would be in on Monday. On Monday, the 2nd, I called and texted my sales guy. He told me the Terrain had not come in yet. I dropped by the dealership and I was then told it would be in on Friday the 6th. I left the GMC dealership greatly disappointed because I was leaving the next day for a 2 week work hitch. I am a disabled veteran and my job is very important to me, it's hard for me to land a job because of my disability. Luckily, I was able to trade favors for time off to drive down 241 miles and pick up my Terrain on Friday, as I had been told it would be in. On April 6, before leaving to pick up my car,I texted the sales guy asking if my car had come in. He calls and tells me my vehicle had already been sold. He said me leaving angry from the lobby was perceived as I no longer wanted the vehicle. I told him we had a contractual agreement and I had left a down payment. He later texted me saying the manager was confused and that my vehicle still had not arrived. On April 7th I called to speak to the GM. I was transferred to a sales manager. After explaining my situation he told me that he was actually the internet sales manager and he would transfer me to an actual sales manager. I spoke to a manager and explained once again. He was trying to make it sound like it was my fault. He said I left angry and there was no communication afterwards. I told him I was angry but I never said to cancel and that there was no communication because I was told my vehicle would be in on Friday the 6th. I also told him that I was not one to leave 2000 dollars on the table. If I wanted the deal cancelled I would've demanded my money back immediately. The manager also told me that my vehicle is now expected in on Wednesday, April 11. I told him that it's very hard for me to slip away from work. He also told me I should not come down on Wednesday, that it was not a for sure thing. It may be in on Wednesday or before Wednesday or even after. I asked him how is that they could be so sure to guarantee me my vehicle on the 2nd and yet can't guarantee me a date now. Was I only being promised the date just so I could purchase the vehicle?!?! Is this a regular practice that GMC condones? The manager said that the arrival of my vehicle was out of their control and it's on a rail in Beasley Texas. If it's out of their control I would assume it's in GMC's hands. So I reached out to GMC and after giving them the VIN they told me that they had done their part. South Texas Buick ... A dishonest dealership. I had a lease from South Texas Buick which ended in July 2020. I Called GM Financial to set up Pre- Inspection the first week of April 2020. I was told that they were not sending anyone out due to COVID to get with the dealership. I called South Texas Buick Dealership which is where we got the vehicle. They advised me to call GM Financial because they were not sending anyone for pre inspection. I explained that GM had said the same thing. Their only advice was to keep trying with GM Financial. I continued on a weekly/ biweekly basis until my lease came to an end. I went to South Texas Buick GMC to return the vehicle but I was told I needed to speak to the Manager that handles Lease returns. I attempted to contact her numerous times and left messages but I was never able to speak to her since she never returned my calls. The dealership did not want to receive my vehicle. I told them I was not keeping it because it was going to go past my lease termination date and I need a pre inspection. They finally took my vehicle and said someone would get back with me on the pre inspection. Weeks went by and I did not hear back from them so I followed up numerous times but I never got a response. They just advised me to wait to hear from GM Financial. A few months later I received a bill for $4257.00. I contacted GM Financial and explained to them that I had no idea what the bill was for and that I was still waiting for the inspection report. They shared with me a link where I could view the breakdown of the report and charges. The report showed charges I wanted to dispute but apparently the decision had been made and the bill was final. GM refused to negotiate on anything and wanted full payment. This account is now closed as a charge off which has negatively impacted my credit score. Terrible service from GM financial and South Texas Buick Apparently I'm 100% at fault. No bailout for me! read more

Had an appointment on Wednesday 10:00 am for my 2010 Pontiac Vibe recalled airbags, and Gaby Rdz, told me that my car will be ready in 3 hours (1lie) wait for 6 hours to called her back and she had no clue what i was talking about (2nd lie) after refreshed her memory, she told me that the mechanic didn't told her about the parts wasn't there that it'll take 3-4 days to get the replacement (3rd lie) at 4:00 pm i talked to the service dept manager and he told me that the car was old and that if i don't like he can send a driver to pick me up to get my car back (7:pm still waiting) that any dealer will do the same thing (4th lie), which is not true Toyota Pharr did the same service to my 2019 4runner and to my 2011 corolla with no problems at all, the worst thing is that they didn't care !!! Pulled up in my vehicle and were looking at buying a GMC AT4. 4 salesman sitting in a golf cart. Not one came over to help. 2 of them actually YELLED "HEY BUDDY YOU NEED HELP" across the lot. But still didn't bother to come over and help. WOW. Walked around the lot for 20min and no help. Walked inside and no help. DON'T BOTHER COMING HERE. Very bad service website is not legit at all...I was interested in a new Yukon did a application online with my trade in all it did was lies. Salesperson got a hold of me with all these lies made me drive 70 miles to dealership after I asked him if there was any Yukons in Stock the ones we were looking for he lied by saying yes when we got there we drove the xl version there wasn't any regular Yukons In stock that was the first lie. Second the trade In that he agreed to online and he told me before driving all the way over there were lies. As we're test driving he tells us how the market price would go up with the trade in. So we drove back very sad and disgusted not only did he make us drive all the way out there and lie but also lie about having these vehicles we wanted in stock. I am so extremely disgusted by the way my service advisor tried to take advantage of me. I went in for an oil change.. and before it was done, josue called me in to ask if i wanted to change the air filter because it was super dirty. He then showed me an air filter that was very dirty indeed, and said i can change it for 80 dollars. I told him i would have to ask my husband, then he says i can offer you a 10 % discount and we can get it done toay. I waited for my husband to call me back and took pictures of the air filter to send him. My husband said he would get it done when he got home. So we went to buy the air filter yesterday, and i told him that that wasnt it because it didnt look like the one the service advisor had shown me. So when he opened the housing where the air filter goes it wasnt even dirty nor was it the one the advisor showed me. All this time i was so happy and satisfied with their customer service but now i obviously cant trust for them to be honest. Im glad i didnt purchase my vehicle at this dealership. But the fact that they triied to take advantage of me and my lack of knowledge in this area is disgusting. Avoid this Dealership and Service Department at all Costs! After spending $3692.69 for an Oil Pump Replacement and surpentine belt on March 18, 2019 the vehicle made it a total of 3 miles before it broke down due to (you guessed it) low oil pressure. After leaving the vehicle for nearly two more months for them to fix it, I finally had it towed home when I was told "We replaced the wrong parts, you need actually needed different components, and that's an additional charge." Currently, the Texas Attorney General's Office is investigating this Dealership's practices (Complaint No: CGS-216567) as well as the Better Business Bureau (Complaint No: 13631104). In the end, I have a non-drivable vehicle, and I am out $3692.69. If you value your money and patience, go to another dealership. read more

In the process of switching that lender vehicle I left my cell phone in the car. I called the service to search there car but they said it wasn't there. I don't know why I believed them and didn't go to mission to check. They sold the car with my phone still in the pocket of the back seat with my new born baby pictures in that phone that I can't replace. They refuse to simply contact the customer on my behalf. It's BULLSHIT cause if it were there belongings they would go above and beyond. The trophie won in 2018 for customer service needs to be returned. On top of it all they service was dodging my calls, once I called from a different number answered immediately refusing to contact the customer. I even offered a 200 dollar reward to their customer to simply leave the phone with them and I would go pick it up from the dealership. 2007 Acadia, love your service department, you are the only GM dealership that is open on the weekend. As a teacher I find it difficult to have my vehicles serviced, so the weekend is my only option. I took my vehicle in for an oil check and for service to my tire. I left the vehicle their to get serviced and later returned for it after work. I was informed that everything was ready to go. Once i get to my vehicle, i find that the same tire issue was still occurring. After informing management of the failed service, the manager noticed what the service tech failed to see after a careful inspection (a screw lodged in the tire). I inform management that should the tech been thorough, they could have fixed the problem by calling me and informing so that i can approve a new tire. The management proceeds to inform me the price of a new tire, explaining to me that my tire is not repairable. Failing to understand that I am back to the starting point of why i went their in the first place and that I have already missed a meeting because of the failed service, the manager gives me a full retail price. I ask that my tire be aired and take my vehicle to my trusty tire expert in which he informs me that the tire will be good and is salvageable and repairs my tire for $10. I do not trust south texas gmc service any longer! read more

I'm writing this review to help other consumers avoid getting ripped off. I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation and after they claim to have finished the work, I found that they didn't do the tire rotation. When confronted, the service advisor R. Perez continued claiming that it had. I showed the service manager the recipt from where I had the right rear tire repaired earlier in the day and it had not been rotated. Realizing that they had charged for work not performed, he kept apologizing and hustled the technician over to do the job that everyone was claiming had already been done and asking what South Texas GMC Buick could do to make up for it. The manager in question even called a few days later and offered 100$ voucher for future service which I declined. My trust can't be bought. Once trust is lost, it's almost impossible to regain. If they are lying about a small 15-30$ repair not being done, who can trust that they are actually performing other more expensive or critical services that customers are paying for? I will never return or trust this dealership again. A person who can't be trusted in small matters definitely can't be trusted in large or important ones. Customers beware! read more
