Today they were pretty behind with seating us. We waited at the host stand for about 3 minutes before someone came over to tell us to seat anywhere. There was a guy behind the bar that could have said that but he just looked at us and sat down in front of the bar. Besides that, everything else went well. Most of the staff are young. Our server took our order and the food came out at a decent time. I tried their Chicken Spaghetti and it came with a side salad. The spaghetti & sauce was nicely seasoned, I'm just not too sure about whether they used fresh chicken breast or canned ones. I was curious about that. Other than that everything was fine. read more

Best chicken fried chicken I have ever had!! And I'm from Dallas, so kind of a Southern foodie. Service was friendly and fast. So glad we stopped here on the way back from S. Padre to East Texas. Well worth the short detour off the highway. read more

I got the cfs and it was good. The crust was fantastic with very little shrinkage. The brown gravy was amazing so make sure you request it. The green beans punched you in the mouth with flavor. They have mushrooms and potato chunks cooked in them which was a ice touch. The Mac was creamy with nice big noodles that had great texture. I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

The service was fine. Cute place. Clean. But the price for the quality & quantity was not good. My husband got the grilled chicken breast. It was a 1/4 in flattened piece of dry chicken. And a tiny scoop of green beans. 20$. Mine was 2 small smothered patties for $21. We both got the salad bar which was fine. But the entrees were not good. Shockingly, the smothered steak tasted like nothing. Not even salt from the brown gravy. Very disappointed in the price for such a small, tasteless portion. I ate 1/3 of one of my patties and gave the rest to my husband. read more

It was our first time stopping by to grab a bite to eat and it was fantastic!! All the waitresses were beyond nice and helpful. I got the grilled chicken and my husband got the chicken fried chicken and both were really delicious!! There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well. They have an area for the kiddos to play on the playground. Really nice place. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Enjoyed our first of many visits! Chase was very welcoming and friendly. Did a good job of going over the menu. Kept our drinks filled also! Made a few menu suggestions which we appreciated! Can you give someone a 6? If I could I would. Traveling through El Campo, had lunch here based on review rating. OMG! I had the chicken fried steak, green beans, and Mac and cheese. DELICIOUS! My wife tried my green beans and loved them, and she hates green beans. I sure wish we had one of these in San Antonio. This place is a must try! read more

This is a family owned restaurant that serves fresh homemade food. Everything that we have tried was excellent. A great place to bring your family and even has a play area outside. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for some authentic country cooking. read more
