If you go on a weekend, you won't see the doctor, but rather the physician's assistants. They do a great job. They also keep long hours, even on the weekends. One tip, though. Try to get in when they first open, or you might be waiting a while.

The problem I have is with the girl who does appointments. 1. She never answers the phone when she's supposed to. I have seen her ignore it and I have tried making appointments through calling with no luck. 2. She chews gum in the office and rolls her eyes the whole time you're making a follow up appointment. She is completely rude and acts like she doesn't want to be there. I wish they would fire her already.

The negatives are the front desk employees. They usually act like they have somewhere better to be. They bill incorrectly until suddenly you have racked up a huge amount of charges and they can't even explain where those charges came from. The girls who make the appointments are sweet, but the employees in the very front are those that have made my experience less positive. Also, no one ever answers the phone! Incredible ER staff and nice facility…read more I was bit by a dog this morning in Concan and was dreading the ER visit to Uvalde. I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, courtesy and efficiency of the staff. Dr. Blackburn and nurses Cody, Scott, Rebekkah and Oscar were excellent. The doctor was worried about muscle damage and called in an orthopedic ,Dr. Conoley, on his day off to make sure there was no muscle damage before stitching me up. I hope you don't need to make a trip to the ER near Uvalde, but if you do, I highly recommend this place due to their staff.
