Reno Ice Arena. 5 baseball fields, 1 of which is regulation. 3 soccer fields. Library. Disc Golf Course. Picnic areas. Off leash dog park. Children's playground. Reservable picnic pavilions . Restrooms - At the library and at the other side of the park. I am sure they would open the ones at the Little League if they were playing (by permit only). Paved parking. Service - Self service. This park is a very clean, well maintained park located in South Reno. There is a parking lot to park in. There are baseball fields and soccer fields. The soccer and baseball fields have their own parking lots to park in as well. There is a bathroom at this park. The bathroom was clean when I was there. There is a fitness area. The playground has three different play structures all located in the playground area. There is a toddler playground. There are toddler swings. There are not any swings for the bigger kids. There is a dome to climb on. There is soft padding underneath the playground. There are several picnic tables throughout the park. There are two covered eating areas with several picnic tables. I adore this location. The soccer fields and playgrounds are immaculately groomed, and they cater to children of all ages, from infants to teens with the playground. To top it all off, they've recently added a fitness park with an extensive range of equipment, including pull-up bars, push-up bars, plyoboxes, rings, agility ladders, dip bars, and virtually everything else you could need for a well-rounded calisthenics workout. I can't wait to return and break a sweat with my kids, either on the field or in the fitness park. read more

Now THIS is the toddler park you've been looking for. While I haven't been to too many parks yet, this one is the best I've seen by far for little ones. There's no wood chips or small rocks for your one year old to be tempted by and there's not too many fall hazards (some parks you literally have to hover over your toddler in fear that they might fall out one of the openings that are above your head). You can also reserve the Mt. Rose Group Picnic Area which would be great for birthday parties or get togethers with friends who also have small children. I can't wait to have some toddler friendly play dates and meetups here. Note: the one playground structure is designed for 5-12 year olds but the other two have a sign posted saying 2-5 year olds. read more

South Reno Park off of Wedge Parkway and Arrowcreek Parkway, houses 2 picnic table areas, soccer fields and little league fields. Popular place for kids and their tournaments and can get very crowded. Very peaceful walk to the South Valley Library during weekdays and work hours, I'm looking forward to the trees changing color. There may be a leash law, but I do see people letting their dogs run. Clean, great place for kids. Peaceful when not so crowded. read more

Nice park with good play equipment. It's close to where my grandchildren live which is convenient. It's next to the baseball field complex which gives something for the younger children to do while their siblings are practicing. The whole complex and park are very well kept and clean. read more

Go here bunches and bunches for soccer games and practices. They have somewhere between 7-10 different fields. Lots of parking is available around the fields so you can park closer to your game than at most fields. They have a pretty good set of playground equipment and a decent covered picnic area. The sun can get blistering here even on mild days. So make sure you bring the protection of your choice. Also there are many stupid people that actually park immediately in front of "no parking" signs on the upper field, snarling traffic getting in and out during games. The reason for the 3 stars is for the stupid dog owners that bring their dogs here to crap and they don't pick it up. I know, it's not the "parks fault" but it does negatively impact the experience. Seriously what is wrong with dog owners? Pick that crap up! When the sun hits it, there is no place to run from the stink! It makes you in-stink-tively check your feet every five minutes just to make sure you haven't stepped in it. read more

Check out the Disc Golf Course at the South end of the park. It is a nine hole course designed for beginners and short play. Most holes are between 200 and 250 feet. A few are longer and a few are shorter. A little contour makes the course more interesting but not many trees or obstacles. Please remember the rules: 1. DON'T Smoke! You will light the place on fire. 2. Don't litter. Take a bag and collect trash. 3. Protect the course. Don't trample the sage brush. Stay on existing pathways. 4. Other stuff I don't care about much but the parks department does. read more

Wow. I didn't know this rec area was so big. It was easier to find from the Demonte Walmart, just drive past it and turn left on Wedge Parkway. You will see the big yellow library, then past that is the parking lot for three baseball/softball fields and several soccer fields. Parking can be tight here if it's Saturday morning and all the fields are being used. Or you can drive by all these by staying on Wedge and make the next left turn to the upper fields, four soccer fields. More parking and easier to get into. It's a great park. So many fields, a large playground and picnic area. It is well maintained and very clean. Just well nestled behind the mall and freeway. read more

Very popular area for kids soccer and baseball teams but can get over crowded with parking. Nice place to walk the dogs as well, as long as they arnt on the turf areas as the rules say along side the gated area. read more

This park is wonderful! It does host tons of soccer tournaments so sometimes it's very crowded, but otherwise its heaven! They have 2 huge grass fields to play on, a jungle gym for older kids and one for little ones, and baseball fields. Very often there are people flying kites or remote control airplanes. (The kids love watching those!!) the facility is clean and nice! read more

The playground area here is super cool! Build for kids ages 5 and under, so everything is super low and easy to climb on, soft ground for falls, and lots of open grassy fields to run around on and fly kites! I LOVE this place! read more
