Easily one of our favorite parks. The playground is newer and modern. Parking is ample, even when there's an event. They have a great private pavilion available for rent to be used for birthday parties, family gatherings and more. My kids love the basketball game. I'm not sure who came up with it, but it's a lot of fun for adults too. The crazy hoops are iconic here and it's so fun watching the kiddos give it a go. I also love that there's a playground for bigger kids, younger kids, and one for all. They also have a fantastic bike loop with exercise machines. The big field in the middle of the loop is used for sports practices and it's well kept as well! Did I mention tennis and pickleball? We went to Cyan Park for food truck Wednesdays. I ended up getting Nom Nom fusion and my husband ended up getting Thai food. It was super relaxed. There was music we had hung out with friends. Great place to play some pickle ball on a Sunday morning. There is plenty of other stuff at this park but we didn't get a chance to check anything else out. I saw some b-ball courts and a soccer field off in the distance. My son and I went down to the courts to get our pickle on and ended up playing for a few hours. There are 4 pickle ball courts adjacent to a tennis court and ALL courts are in great shape. They have a cool silent spoken rule of thumb rotational system in place in which picklers place their rackets in a holder on the fence and each team out on the courts is limited to two games even if you win them both which wasn't something we were able to pull off. This is the best park in South Reno. Plenty of parking. There are plenty of amenities. There's a gazebo that you could rent for a party. Clean restrooms. Water for everybody, including dogs. In the summer, they have a mini waterpark that is safe for infants and toddlers. They have 4 Pickleball courts and one tennis court. They have two dog parks: one for smaller dogs and the other for larger dogs. There is a barbecue grill available for use. There's a full-length basketball court. There are basketball hoops with different sizes, orientations, and shapes for a fun shooting game. In regards to the playground, they have a variety of monkey bars. There is a separate playground for toddlers. There is a large grass field for any grass sport. A walking trail is approximately 3/10 of a mile, and various calisthenic machines are dispersed throughout the park. Plenty of dog bag poop stations. This place is visited by plenty of families. read more

Let me start by saying that Cyan Park is my favorite park in Reno! I absolutely love this park. Cyan Park is quite large and has several different areas. There is a gated dog park with two sides, a basketball court, a kids' area that includes its own basketball hoops, and play structures, a large field that has a walkway around the perimeter, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. My husband and I frequent this park and usually take laps around the field to get some vitamin D and fresh air. There usually is practice of some sport happening on the field whether it's for soccer or football for little kids or there are people running around with their kids playing softball or playing with their dogs. It is really nice to come to this park when the sun is setting. There are great views of the mountains. The views plus the beautiful sunset that Northern Nevada gets especially during the summers are breathtaking. I feel a little spoiled living so close to such a beautiful park. My hope is that this summer I will get to try out the pickleball courts as they recently just had them redone and they looked pristine! The reason why I gave it 4 stars was, that over the summer, I noticed that some of the trees around the field were dying. I contacted the city and was informed that they are working with a contractor to have the trees replaced in the fall. I hope that this will be followed through. Being such a nice park with dying trees takes away from it. This park has a little bit of everything for those who want to get outdoors. I would recommend this park to anyone! read more

This park is huge! The parking lot is also quite big. There are tennis courts at this park. There is a splash park, which would be open in the summer. There are bathrooms. There are three covered eating areas. The view of the mountains is beautiful. There is a dog park. There is a large grassy area across the bridge and away from the playground. There is a nice, paved walkway around the grass. There are swings at this park. The playground is great! There is a larger playground and a smaller playground. The playground has a soft padding underneath both structures. The playgrounds are fun, unique, and clean. There are grills for bbqing. There is a full court basketball court at this park. There are a ton of smaller basketball hoops of all sizes. It's very unique and makes this park stand out. On another note, I heard the City of Reno let this park go down the drain last year. It's a nice park that the dogs really seem to enjoy. Maggie and I are there most evenings and she has a good time and gets some good exercise. She is just under 30 pounds and we are on the small dog side. Often there are larger dogs on that side and I have yet to see one get aggressive. They seem to fit right in and adjust their play to fit the temperament of the small ones. It's usually the tiny dogs that try to get aggressive and the others just ignore them. The large dog side is definitely more aggressive and the owners of those dogs seen to be very aware where their dogs belong. The entire park maintenance had been completely ignored this year until recently. The parks department has stepped up and brought it back into a more reasonable level. Thanks to them! It would be nice to have more trees and access to drinking water at the dog park. The dog park is a DOG park and small children should be accompanied by older individuals. This is a very nice park for the entire family. We are fortunate to have many nice parks in our community. read more

Came her for a quick run. The park is very clean and it is nice seeing people enjoy the fresh air. They have a playground a workout station and a loop about the size of a traditional track! Their is no trash and the playground looks clean and plenty of parking spots for everyone to enjoy. The place is spacious and the play structure has a neat set up. Their is no shade whatsoever in the park. If you come here in summer you will be very hot. read more

I really enjoy taking my puppy to this park. She always has a blast playing with the dogs that come here, and the humans are pretty nice as well! The park has a lot of amenities in a modest space, which is actually kind of nice. The park always feels very lively when I visit as opposed to some of the more spread out parks. The dog park (the part we care about!) is separated into a small and large dog section. There's a good amount of space for the pups to run and some seating as well. It's a good alternative for when Link Piazzo, our other favorite park, is more quiet than we'd prefer. read more

Such a great park! I had the pleasure of meeting up with some mom friends the other day and it was my first time here. The parking lot is an excellent size and ease of entry/exit. I love that they have two different play structures for different age kiddos, lots of different basketball hoops, a walking path, and a dog park! They have tables in between the two play structures that give you a great vantage point to watch your little ones as they play. The play structures are in great condition with vibrant color and nothing breaking! they also had a cute little exercise machine if you wanted to randomly work on that arm strength. My daughter had an absolute blast running and playing and I felt extremely safe and comfortable there. Will absolutely be back for more fun! read more

This is possibly the best park I have ever been to. I almost didn't get the opportunity to find that out because I made a list of dog parks in Reno for my stay there and this one was at the bottom due to it's low yelp rating. As of today, this park has a 3 star rating on yelp with only 5 reviews almost all of which were done well before the park was completed and one particularly ridiculous review where someone is angry at another persons' behavior in the dog park area so they have given the facility itself a 1 star review. That's like giving the Sydney Opera House a 1 star rating because you sat next to someone who was chatty or perhaps even had body odor at your visit to see Fiddler on the Roof. It's shocking to me. This is a gorgeous park, well designed and meticulously cared for away from the hustle of the city. It has excellent facilities including a pristine dog park, an extensive playground for children, a covered picnic area, basketball courts and a practice area for children to work on their basketball skills as well. There is ample, convenient parking. The people were friendly and the bathrooms were spotless. The dog park is split into two sides for large and small dogs and most of the pet owners were attentive and cordial. Yes, we too had an experience with a little frenchie that got out of control and started a bit of a ruckus, it's a dog park. The owners eventually got ahold of her and took her out. Their lack of training and diligence doesn't reflect on the park itself. Poo happens. We had such a lovely time at this park that we literally didn't want to leave. This will be our go-to park whenever we are in the area. read more

WARNING - 5:45pm Thursday, May 19, 2022 - After playing with small dogs on the small dog side of the dog park Bodie visited the large dog side to be almost immediately bitten by a large black lab wearing a blue body harness. The incident resulted in 6 stitches and a $600 vet bill. Have been coming here since the Park's opening. Bodie has always been well received and enjoyed many positive comments from other owners. And in 10mos has shown nothing but the most mild-mannered temperament. I've always understood Dog Parks are hazardous places ..... mostly due to irresponsible pet owners. This particular dog and owner need to be posted on a wall of shame with a WARNING to others. Will eventually get a photo of the offending duo, but for now watch for a black lab with a blue body harness and a black handle that gets a lot of use from the owner pulling his dog off of other dogs. They generally show up at the park around 5:30-6:00. Will file a proper report with Washoe Animal Control to add to the growing file. This owner and dog have apparently had similar run-ins as several witnesses were quick to explain that this situation wasn't unique to Bodie. We all need to come together and do a better of policing this sort of aggressive behavior out of our Dog Parks or our parks will just become full of poorly socialized dogs and humans. Will be awhile before returning (yea, at least two weeks before stitches come out), if ever. Dog Parks are no places for even mildly aggressive dogs ..... or humans. During COVID I was excited to see this project in development and am so happy they installed this amazing park in the area! There are plenty of areas to enjoy - dog parks, kids play area, sports area for basketball and I believe they are working on tennis courts, and a big open grass field. During my pregnancy and after my husband and I would take our dogs to the big open grass field. That way he could play with our dogs while I walked the paved circle to get an easy exercise in while pregnant. If you do a little over three laps you will hit a mile. It is also nice they have body weight workout equipment to use as well! I only wish they would manage the trees better as many trees had died or snapped due to wind and lack of water. But regardless this is a perfect addition to the growing community read more

Great dog park with two sizes one for big dogs and the other for small dogs. Almost always have poop bags available. However there's no water access in the dog park it's at the bathroom so you have to leave the dog there or bring along a water bottle like I do. read more

Very nice park! We enjoy coming for walks, runs, basketball and our favorite is the tennis courts. This park is very close to our home making very convenient for us. We walked to the park while it was being constructed and we knew it would be a very nice park. My son loves to skateboard around the park and during the summer he likes the splash pad they have here. My daughter enjoys playing tennis and having lunch or dinner here. Not too many areas with shade so make sure to wear lots of sunscreen!! Many soccer teams do come practice here during spring/summer so the park is very busy during the evening hours. Overall great friendly park!! read more

This feedback is for the dog park only. Someone needs to police the dog park and not only make sure people are keeping it clean but to keep aggressive dogs out. On the small dog side, there is a group that meets in the morning and stays most of the day with their lawn chairs and coolers. They have been doing this for some time and now their dogs have become territorial and formed a pack. If you come in and are not part of the group your dog can get attacked like my puppy has several times. And the group tells me they are just playing. Being chewed on and flipped upside down and held down is not playing. He was bit but luckily it did not break the skin. This group is justifying the fact that they can party there or use the park as a group meeting place but this is disrespectful of others who wish to use the park. They are not watching their dogs closely. I don't feel comfortable taking my 7 mos old puppy here. With them monopolizing the dog park, you can not feel good about throwing a ball for your dog or letting them run. I don't go to a dog park to keep him on a leash, he likes to run. I know we are all responsible for our own dogs as someone can not sit there all day to make sure no dog is getting attacked, but there should be a phone number posted for anyone who has a problem with the park or the dogs and their owners that use it. read more

i came to this park with my kids and i absolutely love it! my kids had a blast! they have two section of parks, one for younger children and another for the bigger kids. they also have a tennis court, basketball area, dog park, and splash zone! there is also another basketball area where there's multiple basketball hoops of different heights for the kids to practice and have fun! there are multiple table areas and bench around the park. my kids had so much fun and i highly recommend to all families. definitely coming back again! read more

There's several parks in this area, so there's some competition- this one is pretty plain Jane relative to the others, nothing special here, and especially susceptible to blowing dust/dirt - it's the park they added cause they had to, check out Horizon or Comstock parks as better alternatives read more
