If you've ever watched the film Zulu and wondered how much of it is really true then go and visit this museum because once you start seeing the displays and information boards you soon realise that you could have been watching the real thing.
Ok that's just a small part of the museum but its what I went for, because I love the film and it was great and sad at the same time.
The stories of these brave soldiers in this and other wars fought all over the world are very informative and educational.
The museum follows three of Wales's regiments and takes you through their history and exploits. The displays are well set out and they have some excellent original artefacts from the military and ex soldiers, including things like tapestries that the Welsh soldiers made for loved ones whilst sitting in the trenches of the two World Wars and some of the letters written home would bring a tear to any grown man.
They also have two short films running, one on the Anglo-Zulu War and another on the soldiers who have fallen in the many battles fought across the world.
It only takes an hour or so to go round the place but for the meagre sum of 2 pound there's nothing to complain about.
So if you want to know a bit about Welsh Military history or just check out some details on the Anglo-Zulu War this is ideal read more
