Earlier this year, I paid almost $1500 for Prater to repair the sliding glass rear window in my F150 pickup. It worked initially. But about a month ago, it stopped working. I could not open it. Also, the rear window defroster stopped working. I was out of the state when this happened, but when I returned, I went by Prater and they took a look at the issue. They said I would need to bring it back for service. I made an appointment to bring it by for service, and Tuesday morning I delivered it for service. After they examined the issue, they found that there was a broken connector for the motorized opener, and this also prevented the back window defroster from working. The parts were ordered on Tuesday, but I had to leave the truck overnight. Wednesday, the parts arrived, but other vehicles were placed in the queue before mine. Also, they discovered that they needed to remove the back window and this meant they had to order a new window gasket. Today, I came to wait for my truck to be fixed. Before lunch they told me that they had ordered the part and it would be there "in a couple of hours." It is now after 3:00 PM, and I just told by the service manager that they were on their way to get the gasket in Cartersville. Why were they still on their way to get the part, when it was supposed to be ordered this morning? My truck STILL is not ready. This is the third day I have been without my vehicle, and there is no guarantee that I will have it before the end of the day. EDIT: By 5:30 PM it still was not finished. I was told I had to leave it for another night or bring it back to complete the work, since it would take "another couple of hours." I took my truck away because I need it. Not sure what I will do now. If I take it elsewhere I will have to pay to have the work completed... if they will even do it. DON'T TRUST PRATER FORD WITH SERVICE FOR YOUR VEHICLE. Period.

    I can promise I will NEVER buy another car from them. The car I bought was fine for three days then…read morethe brakes locked up, they sent me to a mechanic and I was out of a car for two days. The mechanic couldn't or didn't fix the issue. I went to exchange the car and they wanted to put me in a car that had a knocking engine. So, I kept the original car had it fixed on my own out my pocket and eventually paid the car off. The office staff was extremely rude when I was having this issue absolutely no help at all they basically could care less. They do not care at all about their customers because once you pay the down payment and get sucked in you're stuck and they know it.

    I bought a car from them and after a year I told them something was terribly wrong ... so I had…read morethem look at it not once but twice, They had the car over 3 weeks, I got it back one week only to have to bring it back a second time, I got the car back after the second time only to have it doing the same thing and this time was the final draw the engine started knocking only for me to have them tow it to there repair shop to finally say the engine blew... so how does a engine blow after your mechanic looked at this car 2 seperate times before it messed up this 3rd time NOW there is a problem the last two times before this last episode you said it just needed regular maintenance... which you fixed only for the 3rd time BAM ohhh ... its not that its the engine now try to charge me 5k for a engine knowing I need a car and I have to go threw with it.... I brought this car back because I couldnt afford the hassle and bad management of the car on there end making me responsible for repairs that shouldnt have been done if they found the problem the first time.. now trying to stick me with the 5k still even tho I brought the car back in good condition with there new engine they claimed they put in ... 5 k for a 2013 sonata engine... really!!?!??!?
