He is phenomenal! I began having problems with my shoulder 9 months ago. The first 2 orthopedists I saw (not affiliated with Bahri Orthopedics) both misdiagnosed my condition. After 5 months of physical therapy with no improvement in mobility or the level of pain, I sought out Dr. Bohsali. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made! Dr. Bohsali had another MRI done with contrast. It showed a partial tear. He recommended rotator cuff surgery stating MRIs are not 3D and there's no way to see deep inside. He said he really would not know the exact extent of the injury until he got in there. He was excellent at explaining all this to me and made sure to answer all of mine and my husband's questions. Following surgery, Dr. Bohsali informed me I actually had a full-blown tear which was deep inside and was not indicated at all on the MRI. I would have never healed without this much needed surgery. I'm still baffled by the fact I had 2 other orthopedists tell me there was absolutely zero need for surgery! I have now seen Dr. Bohsali 3 times since my surgery and his follow-up care has been excellent. His assistants and staff have all been very friendly and knowledgeable. Since 2007 I have seen a number of orthopedists. I'm a klutz. I've blown out my knee, had trigger finger, broken my foot, and have chronic back problems. I've seen so many orthopedists because I haven't found one I've liked even the slightest bit until I found Dr. Bohsali. Well, other than the one who dealt with my trigger finger, but he only deals with hands exclusively, so I couldn't see him for my other problems. If you ever find yourself with a shoulder or elbow problem, I implore you to seek out Dr. Bohsali as that is his specialty. In the future, I will be seeing Dr. Bohsali for any and all of my orthopedic needs! The only negative thing I can say about Bahri Orthopedics is that there is usually about an hour wait time to go back to see the doctor. At the time of the visit, I was wearing a temporary splint placed by urgent care and was experiencing pain and swelling. I informed Dr. Graham that I did not feel the splint was fitting properly and asked for guidance regarding appropriate immobilization. I was told that the splint "looked fine." When I expressed continued concern, I was advised to purchase a brace from Amazon and to work on making a fist so that my hand would not become stiff. I was not provided with a specific recommendation regarding the type of brace that should be used, nor was I given detailed instructions regarding activity restrictions or warning signs to monitor. Most concerning, I was instructed to return in four months. I specifically asked whether the intended follow-up interval was four weeks, and I was informed that it was indeed four months. A four-month follow-up appointment was subsequently scheduled. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the importance of preventing stiffness and promoting recovery. However, I left the appointment feeling dismissed and without clear guidance regarding the management of an acute fracture. My concerns were not adequately addressed, and I remain troubled by the absence of earlier follow-up or imaging to evaluate healing and alignment. I respectfully request that this encounter be reviewed and that I be provided with clarification regarding the rationale for the treatment plan and follow-up interval. Dr Joseph replied to my request to switch my care to her office quickly and I was able to schedule an appointment the following day after submitting the request. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly welcome by the nice receptionist. I waited roughly 10 minutes to be taken into the exam room where I discussed my current medications with a nurse. Dr Joseph was thorough, discussing all my health concerns and suggesting some lifestyle changes to help lower my cholesterol and lose weight. Super nice, friendly, and smart about his field and what he thought was best for me. We talked about me and what I do, did, and want to with this body that I have beaten slap to death. Then we talked about him where he came from (local kid) and where he studied and did his residency. He was born and raised here and did his residency in the big apple at the best joint replacement hospital in the country. He chose the this particular hip contraption cause of what I want an need to be able to do with my life and work. I will say that everyone in this office was very sweet and helpful. They know I was in pain went out of their way to make me and the wife comfortable. Never being operated on before I was nervous and scared. Doc I guess felt that and comforted me. I will say that the surgery and before and after included and very good doctors visit. He told me how my old hip was and it wasn't pretty but the new one was all bright and shiny. He even wrote Go Gators on the probe in my leg bone. JK but I feel he would have if I asked. I just returned from our post op visit and I got my first look at my new hardware. I do know it has only been 13 days since I took possession of this hip it is working better and better everyday. I know it is cause of Dr Frykberg's talent. I will also say that he learned today that his one guilt pleasure is Maple Street Biscuit Companies food so you know what I did? Yep the office had breakfast on me this morning and will every time I return. He was genuinely happy when I returned with biscuits for him and his side of the office. The program at Balanced Physician Care is reasonable and I love having full access to my Dr even after hours.
