Before arriving here in late 2023 I tried a different residential treatment center in north county. I won't put that business on blast here but I couldn't stand the place, and I couldn't get or stay sober in that environment. After that (and another binge, another night in jail) I desperately called Heartland House, and as soon as I arrived I felt a sense of ease and comfort that wasn't there at the north county facility. The staff, the rotation of groups/activities, the 12 step approach to sobriety, and omg the food is actually good! It's all really good and helped turn my life around from knocking on death's to a productive member of society. Much love for the Heartland House!

I've tried calling every number on the list in the county! No one has called back. The main line wasn't working. Some people have a time frame they have to do get stuff done in. For these people to just ignore calls is completely unprofessional. If they don't want to help they shouldn't be working here. So unprofessional and so unorganized and they're trying to help people?? The program modules were easy to understand and trauma focused. My therapist was a perfect fit for me and I was very saddened that I wouldn't be able to continue under her care. She went over and above while working with me and did everything in her power to make sure I had a smooth transition into the next part of my life journey. I will forever be grateful to her and this program for the help, knowledge and guidance they gave me. I highly recommend this program to PTSD/Trauma sufferers.

I'm still currently in the the TAY outpatient program and every time I go to group therapy I learn something new. I have learned so many skills regarding mental health that I will take for the rest of my life. If it wasn't for the support I get from my peers and staff I wouldn't be alive. While it may be scary at first, it's very clear that your health and safety is the staffs priority. I have met the best therapist here and made many friends from the other individuals in group. I never miss appointments, but still, I won't expose myself to a policy that pushes any risk that comes with having a business onto clients. I understand having a fee and a 24-hr general policy, but to inflict such a high rate onto clients even if a last minute illness or emergency arises is unreasonable and unethical. What do they want, people showing up sick to infect the therapist and every subsequent client that therapist sees? That is what is implied with such an inflexible policy and there is no other interpretation for it. Profit first, therapist well-being way lower on that scale, client well-being at the very bottom. I'm not sure where the actual service or "care" falls on that scale; I guess it doesn't seem to me to be present at all, not in the eyes of the business anyway.

But they still charged me $95, not even my copay rate of $35 because I didn't give them 24 hours notice, even though the day before was a Sunday and I have no clue how she was going to feel in the morning. They still refused to work with us and had zero sympathy for our situation. Absolutely horrible service. I will find a more compassionate and understanding situation for my daughter.

Not only did they prove to be the most ideal in terms of distance away, but they also turned out to be one of the most effective TMS clinics in the state. They proved this latter claim by my own fantastic experience undergoing TMS treatments under their effective and supportive care. I was first assessed by Dr. Wycoff (and her lovely dog) and we discussed my background with depression and anxiety. She determined that TMS would be an excellent option for me to utilize after my previous experiences with treatments that were limited to only traditional psychiatric drug-based approaches. A week later I was further assessed by Dr. Hubbard himself who confirmed that I would be an excellent candidate for TMS treatment. Within a few days, my whole treatment plan was scheduled and it began with an initial mapping and the first TMS treatment. Marissa was my TMS technician throughout the entire 36 treatment long process. She was new to the treatment process but she learned quickly under the tutelage of other TMS technicians and I consider myself lucky to have been her first patient. Quickly, TMS treatment became just another part of my regular routine each weekday. I'd say hello to the front desk, fill out my mood questionnaire in the waiting room, and be led to the treatment room by Marissa where we'd chat during the simple and painless treatment process. Before I had started TMS therapy, I had tried talk therapy, psychiatric medication, intensive outpatient programs, and more. But after only a few weeks of not feeling much change through TMS treatment, I began to feel the weight of my depression and anxiety slowly lift off my shoulders. The symptoms of both conditions continued to decrease to the point where I was able to handle a difficult process of seeking, interviewing for, and eventually finding a new job. All the way, I had Marissa in my corner as a stable and encouraging figure as we both navigated the TMS treatments and updates on my job search. Within no time at all, I had reached the half-way check-in point and had only good things to report about my experience with TMS. My daily mood questionnaires also showed that my symptoms were improving over time. I continued throughout the second-half of the TMS therapy process and then shifted into the "taper off" period of the treatment within a few weeks of my half-way check-in. That meant I only had to make it to treatment on every other day for the final two weeks of TMS therapy. And finally, I reached the end of my TMS therapy just as I had accepted an offer for a new job. It was an emotional and mental boon to have TMS throughout the job search process. And I felt ready to enter a new chapter of my life with my depression and anxiety now in check after years of struggling against them. I visited with Dr. Wycoff again a month after my treatment ended and had the chance to say thank you to Marissa and the rest of the staff. I highly recommend Dr. Hubbard's practice for anyone interested in pursuing TMS as a means to finally get their depression and anxiety under control.

The providers at ECWC are incredible and it shows from the minute you call or walk through the door. Counseling care providers who take payment through Medi-Cal for families are often super busy and that is the case here as well but this team hustles to provide world class care. If you call, they answer. When you get here, it feels like your child and family are important and they are genuinely glad to see you again. With three teenagers, I have spent alot of time in their lobby and have seen them treat literally every person who walks through the door with kindness and edification. This place is a jewel and the candor of its representatives demonstrates that well.

The moment we met Michael at the front lobby I was scared to leave home for a while the 30 days. But knew I needed sobriety and mental health monitored. I have been out almost 2 weeks and thriving no cravings! I felt so guilty and shame when I went in cause I had scared my family. Michael convinced me and our insurance covered all except $20O registration fee. Jessie the general manager was so organized and other facility like Amy... And Michelle were amazing and kind and efficient. There was no one I did not resonate with. Loved my therapist Renee and other facilitators like Bob..Curt too many to name Laundry and maid services come everyday. They work amazingly hard Shout out to Nursing staff! Nurse Kelsey was so good along with all nurses We were able to go to hikes..beach..kick Ball..rock climbing etc thanks to the kind and fun drivers.
