Tanya was our "day of coordinator" but she was truly there for us from the moment we signed the contract (over 1 year!) From the planning checklist, to the budget tracker, to all the other planning resources they provide, Southern Charm Events is WORTH EVERY PENNY! Not to mention everything they do on your actual wedding day. From set up, to keeping you on track with your timeline, to wedding crisis control, they are the total package. If you asked me, I would say that our day went smooth, perfect, without a hitch and not one thing went wrong. I could not have asked for better wedding day management than Southern Charm Events! We purchase the day of package but Tanya was incredibly helpful with pointing me in the right direction along the way. 30 days out and on the wedding day, Ashley and her team went above and beyond with their experience and expertise to ensure everything went accordingly to plan so smoothly and for the things we couldn't plan for, which we had several incidents, they suggested a fix to the problem and took care of things without me having to even worry one bit! Hiring Tanya & Southern Charm was the best decision we could have made. We chose the "Day Of" package, but that is misleading because you have access to so many resources from day one. Between the customized wedding website, checklists, vendor resources, and the ability to send over individual questions either through email or phone calls our planning process was actually really fun! I am sad its over. Both myself and husband had so much fun the day of our wedding. Not one thing went wrong, and we didn't have to make any decisions. I wish I had a better review for you but I don't. I am so sad to say that amongst all of the good reviews that I based my decision on hiring Tanya, that she did not deliver. I hired her in early January to handle our day of wedding coordination which I felt confident in Tanya's ability to do so. Tanya also said that she offered a one time military family discount rate which is another reason we hired her (I thought that was so nice and patriotic). I was a DIY bride with very little details to handle near the end, I just wanted peace of mind for our wedding day. Tanya seemed on point and ready to deliver until this past week were communication got muddled through lots of emails. Tanya sent me an email to call her (which I didn't receive until the next day because my family just started to arrive in town for our wedding week). I tried to call Tanya back numerous times and left messages. Out of the blue Tanya sent me an email cancelling her services because of "lack of communication" but she never called me back or explained what happened! I about DIED!!! WHO DROPS THEIR BRIDE 4 DAYS BEFORE THEIR WEDDING WITH NO EXPLANATION OR OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT????!!! This is bad business! We think she ditched us for another wedding because she mentioned 2 weeks prior that it was a big wedding and they didn't have much coverage. I will never forget how you made me feel or what you did. I am so disappointed in you! All I have to say is be careful and think twice. I would not wish this on anyone! This was the most important day of my life and you ruined it. read more

Great customer service, great company. They do event planning, vintage rentals and some venue management (meaning if you need a place for your next party, call them!). Def. take a look. Tanya and her team are among best of what they do! I'm not just saying that because she was my event planner but because every one of my vendors that I booked also agree. She is detailed, knowledgeable and very down to earth. She allows you to express your vision and then offers suggestions and ideas that may better them! She made wedding planning a breeze for me and the wedding day went by smoothly. Her prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience that you get. I know through her Facebook that Tanya does several events each weekend but you would never know that she had other brides or clients. She is always quick with replies and treats you like you're the only one. I never saw her pick up a phone or give her attention to anything but me during our consultations. She's a true professional!
