I am a medical provider.and I know an excellent provider when I see one! I have referred patients to Dr Moody, and everyone has been quite satisfied with their care. I ended up needing his services, he was attentive and did an excellent job taking care of me! Now I could see "in person," why my patients have been so satisfied with him. He was very knowledgeable and attentive and showed compassion with his care for me. Reminded me of how Jesus gently treated people when he walked the earth. Meaning compassion and love for what he does. It makes me mad to read some of the negative "mean reviews," he has on google. The majority of his reviews 98% are excellent, but it goes to show you that you cannot please everyone no matter how hard you try. People don't realize the amount of stress, and weight on a providers shoulders... and education we go through to get where we are at. Dr Moody "IS NOT" a money grabber and he had gone the extra mile with all of my patients! I will keep referring my patients to him, he is a "top notch" dermatologist! One of my patients I had broken out in a rash I had no idea what he had. I asked mother if I could take a picture of the rash, she agreed ....Dr moody agreed to fit him in his schedule when the day was almost over! Find out later mom could not afford another Dr visit and Dr moody had called me she never showed up. Dr Moody than told me what I could try based on the pictures! He went above and beyond the call. The irony of it mom wrote a bad review on my website... unbelievable. But my point is, goes to show you that you cannot always trust a review. I was disappointed with my appointment. I felt like Dr. Moody rushed through my check up and didn't really do a detailed review of my skin. I was also charged for the appointment after being told that it was covered by my insurance. Unfortunately, my husband had the same experience with feeling rushed and being charged after being told the appointment was covered. Really surprised at some of these reviews! Dr. Moody has saved my life at least five times by finding cancerous and precancerous growths on my face and back. He is professional and very friendly but takes his responsibilities very seriously. Frankly, I would not go to any other dermatologist for this care. I had an appt. in the Aiken office yesterday. My appt. was scheduled for 3:50 p.m. I arrived at 3:58 p.m. due to a distance (40 miles) & then there was road construction which held me up. Once arriving she told me (Brittany) that my appt. was at 3:40 p.m. so she put me down as a "NO SHOW" because I was late. She said they allow a 15 min. window for being late - well if that is the case I was a whole 3 min. late. I have been going there for 30 years & I have NEVER been treated like this. Dr. John Cook was my doctor but he retired. He was the best - so thorough & he cared about his patients. This place now doesn't care about their patients - it's all about the all mighty dollar. Dr. Cook used to check everything & I mean everything (my head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc.). I have yet to be checked like that & I've had melanoma with a family history. I have a very concerning place on my lower leg that I needed checked ASAP but do you think they cared - NO - NOT AT ALL. This is unacceptable & this type of treatment towards patients shouldn't be tolerated. I would NOT RECOMMEND Southern & Georgia Dermatology (Aiken, SC) to anyone!!! read more

Dr. Moody and staff are wonderful. Yesterday was my first visit with him for my annual skin screening. The front desk hadn't scheduled in my appointment on their calendar over from Zocdoc (an awesome app for booking appointments, by the way), but no big deal. The waiting room is comfy and very clean. Bathrooms are immaculate, which is always a comforting sight in a doctor's office. My appointment was for 3:30 and I was out and done by a little after 4. The nurse was very friendly and put me at ease right away. The skin screening found an atypical mole, which Dr. Moody biopsied on the spot. He was very gentle while removing the mole and I felt almost nothing! He was friendly and professional, and I felt very at ease during the entire appointment. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Moody for anyone needing a dermatologist! read more

The wait lasted longer then the actual visit. The doctor seemed like my problem was small and insignificant and like he was ready to move on to more pressing issues. Now I'm out of 62 dollars. I felt like I paid to wait in the waiting area. I did get a prescription which I'm thankful for but I won't be back. read more

After dealing with menopausal acne for several months during the pandemic, as soon as businesses started to re-open I went to see Dr Moody. He was very thorough during my appointment and not only did he treat my acne, he examined my scalp only to find it's condition was a contributing factor of my acne so he treated that, as well. In a few short weeks my acne cleared (I no longer had to hide behind my C19 mask) and to my glorious surprise, the hair around my hair line began to fill in and thicken to the texture of the rest of my hair. That area of my scalp had been tender for so long, I sadly thought the thinning in that area was something I would have to live with. After many years of trying everything for my scalp, Dr Moody gave me the answer I was looking for, and I didn't even have to ask for it. That's what I was looking for in a Dr. One who's in the business of diagnosing what he sees, not just what the patient "think" they need. Go see Dr. Moody. You'll have no regrets!! I was disappointed in the office when I was there. The exams rooms were not very clean. There was damage in the exam room to the walls and equipment. The waiting room was very small and there was a TV that was really loud. I would have been afraid to get any procedure done there. Just didn't look very sanitary. Dr. Moody, Rika, Britney are amazing people, and are great friends. I love them so much, and I even enjoy conversing afterwards that is how good they make you feel.
