Ever since Heritage Trust became REV a number of years ago, this credit union has become terrible…read more I loved HTFCU and have been there since 1991. But with REV? There are continuous glitches in their online banking, such as them carrying over a former name of mine from over a decade ago, giving me 2 names in the system but being unable to find and fix it; frequent declines of our debit cards at merchants with no reason -- especially after hours and on weekends when it's difficult to handle; extreme difficulty and a very excessive number of prompts and hold times trying to get to a representative for assistance -- and then getting a bad attitude at least 50% of the time, or worse, bad information; and they, unlike other banks these days, practice predatory banking practices so they can bleed members for as much fees as possible. For example, if you have a balance of $50, a direct deposit in queue for $800 in the morning, and 2 outstanding transactions -- one for $51 and another for $10 -- they will see all 3 there, and instead of crediting you with the deposit and then clearing the transactions, they will take the largest transaction of $51, pay it, charge you a $35 NSF fee, then pay the next $10 one on your now-negative balance, charge you another $35 NSF fee, and THEN deposit your $800 to cover those fees, leaving you with $719 instead of the $789 you would have had if they had credited you with your deposit first. They do this on purpose and are not ashamed of it one bit. Then they charge you other fees at every turn, every chance they get. It's shameful.
