There were lots of homemade sturdy outdoor furniture pieces. They were reasonably priced. The bakery was well stocked. Lots of pies, cakes, brownies, donuts etc. Being celiac I couldn't eat anything. They also had cheesecake, strudel, and various baked goods. They have a wide selection of bread in the other part of their large building. Always made from scratch! I brought in the picture of the cake I wanted with me to the initial consultation. Caroline assured me that she/the shop would be able to adhere to the design of the cake. The day of the adoption I was too busy to pick up the finished cake so my friend picked it up for me. As soon as I saw the cake I was upset. It was nothing we discussed. The colors were not the same, the design, and the butterflies had a horrible quality to them. I immediately called The Mixing Bowl and Caroline answered. As soon as I identified myself she hung up on me! I served the cake at the party and it tasted mediocre, like a cake I got at Walmart could've tasted better. So in the end it was horrible customer service, terrible cake decorating, and disappointing taste. She didn't remember her managers number so she asked her, and her manager provided her phone number, but wouldn't talk to me over the phone. Instead I was told to text her, and so I did, and never got a response. Pretty silly that the manager was right there and just wouldn't help, and then I followed the direction to text, and never got a response. I did go in person once previously a few months ago to pick up my online order of cupcakes and they were out of two of the flavors even though I ordered 5 days in advance, so they had to switch out of two cupcakes and it took 15 minutes to get my order ready. Not impressed.
