Pretty silly that the manager was right there and just wouldn't help, and then I followed the direction to text, and never got a response. I did go in person once previously a few months ago to pick up my online order of cupcakes and they were out of two of the flavors even though I ordered 5 days in advance, so they had to switch out of two cupcakes and it took 15 minutes to get my order ready. I finally remembered Yelp; I did some searching and scrutinized the results list for searching "custom cakes". "Cakery Couture" stuck out as a local Clarksville resident offering what I needed. Leah's reviews from her previous residence in California were amazing; I called her and she answered almost first ring. I provided the specifics on what I was looking for, and she indicated that everything was no problem: gluten-free, buttercream frosting, pink writing and piping, 2-layer round. I gave her several days notice that she said was plenty of time. Fast forward: the day of pickup we met to give me the cake. The next day was the birthday, and the cake was wonderful - everything was exactly right. I'm looking forward to my next order with her.

The fidelity to the idea was essentially all I was looking for when purchasing the cake....but the quality of the cake from the buttercream frosting to the moist cake and flavorful raspberry layer really reinforced that she is a professional with a serious skill set.
