Amanda does not like to do hands on massage for the duration of the massage even though she is very good at it. She wants to do cupping even if the client does not want it. She will take more minutes away from actual massage by doing a sound bath even if the client does not want it. The same with too much aggressive stretching. If I come in for a massage, that's what I want. I want my muscles massaged. If you are into sound baths, cupping and stretching during your massage session and want less actual massage, then Amanda is good for that.

I was not so happy with that but I did tip the provider. As I was walking out the desk stopped me to charge $12 for the lotion that was used. I was offered 1 of 3 lotions - all with a name. I wasn't informed that there was any additional charge for lotion. By the way. I did bring my own castor oil and they refused to o use it. Stay away from the chains. Go somewhere else.

Just look at her responses to reviews here; the grammar is atrocious and the tone is disrespectful. Between the shady practice of shorting sessions and the blatant lying, this business has zero integrity. Also there's a lot of contraindications as far as the owners responses go to clients leaving a negative review. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects its clients.

The ambience is relaxing and serene while still being down-to-earth. I live in New Orleans and while there are plenty of good massage places here, I drive 45 minutes and cross the bridge to go to Nirvana--they are that worth it. And every birthday, Christmas, and anniversary, that's what I ask for. (Which reminds me--I'm out of gift cards and it's only August! Are Halloween Gifts a thing??) If you go, get at least the 90 minute massage--if not, you will be a very sad bear when those 60 minutes are up.
