When another section of our 30+ year-old fence started to deteriorate and fall down, I called "Back to Life", and they promptly came out and gave me a very fair estimate and got the work done quickly. The fence is rock solid, and I predict it will last another 30 years. Mike individually picks out each of the fence posts/laths/panels to make sure they are straight and not cracked. This review would have been worse back then…read more Although the end product turned out well, the construction was to take 3 months to complete and took almost a year. J the boss will blame us but his inability to efficiently manage the project and make us happy throughout the project failed. This all happened because we are experienced with home repairs, etc. and questioned many things. J did not appreciate this and penalized us with delays and more. FYI - J&J has very few employees and hires subs to actual do the work. A few of the subs we had were excellent and some were very unskilled and sub-par. There was a lot of rework because of shoddy workmanship and repairs causing delays. The overall quality of the remodel was good but only because of our oversight. This project was an expensive nightmare for us and we can't provide a favorable review - AVOID THIS CONTRACTOR! P. S. Dan, the on sight construction lead was phenomenal and without his efforts and the contract we signed, J&J would have been fired early into the project.

The work was performed as scheduled and to our expected quality (that, coming from a finicky engineer). There were no surprises at all. I cannot express our gratitude for RC Construction. We are thrilled with our house remodel! Our home suffered hail damage to the roof, windows, doors, decking, and stucco. We filed a claim with our insurance company. The insurance company only offered to replace some windows. Like most people, my wife and I did not know what our insurance contract actually covers and how to deal with insurance companies. Rafael knows this well, studies it, has personal consultants, has years of experience dealing with insurance companies and has a good relationship with Mark at Compass Adjusting. Together, they explained the policy and expectations. One phone call and one meeting later and we had committed with one rule: RC will only repair what is agreed to with the insurance company; we want zero out-of-pocket expenses. Keeping in mind the insurance company tried to get away with replacing only a few windows, the final project (ALL covered by insurance!) included flat roof repairs, roof drainage/gutter repairs, 22 new windows, 2 new doors, all new stucco, deck repairs, interior wall repairs, and complete interior paint. RC Construction and Compass Adjusting managed the insurance company so we never had to make even a phone call to the insurance company. We just sat back and let them do their thing! Referring to a previous review: Keep in mind, most contractors use sub contractors. Some of them also use their own subcontractors. RC has a great team of subs - most of them know each other through their church. All were in our house daily for 6 months and we had no issues with any of them. They were all great people! Still, it's up to us as home-owners to know what we're committing to, set agreed-to expectations and we shouldn't be writing reviews before the work is done. Part of that work includes a walk-through and (usually) final touch-ups. It has now been 3 months since our remodel was finished. The only thing we had to call them back on was that we found the window manufacturer had 2 wrong handles on the windows. One right-opening had a left handle on it and one left-opening had a right handle on it. No biggie - their window sub came out and switched them. We are very, very happy with the work done by RC Home Improvements!!!

Our home abuts a state park and we're at high risk for fire. The wildfires in Southern California…read moreearlier this year convinced us to take fire mitigation seriously. Besides, the woodpeckers were a continuous problem. So, we set about to find a contractor to put Hardie Board siding on our house. We had quotes from three contractors from the job. We decided to go with Siding Pros because Kevin's reviews were great, the price was outstanding, and he instilled trust. Kevin was knowledgeable and helpful from the beginning. He came and checked on the job daily. Every evening, he sent us a video explaining the progress of the job and what the next day's work would entail. We liked the workmen, who, like Kevin, established trust right away. On the first day, they removed the old siding, patiently hauling it down our long driveway to a dumpster. On the second day, they put up the vapor barrier and attended to the windows, the chimney and the vent. On the third day, they put up the Hardie Board and painted the edges where it abutted existing walls and the deck. I had previously approved the paint, which matched our house color exactly. They caulked everything neatly and completely. Finally, they replaced the lights and the gutter. The workers were respectful and responsible. The work was done right the first time and completed on schedule. We have already recommended Siding Pro to our neighbors.

Kevin came to our house, saw what had been done and was very honest and upfront about the fixes we needed. He hid nothing and laid it all out. He sent us several proposals, met with us several times and made sure we were very comfortable with our choices. He was honest about the time our job would take to begin (it was a bit of a wait but totally worth it) and when I could only describe the type of blue I wanted, he sent me to another client's house to see their color and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. When our job began, Kevin was here everyday at least once a day to check in. When I had a question or concern, Kevin was a phone call, email or text away, no matter what. The crew we had at our house was wonderful. They work quickly but carefully and their work is beautifully done. When anything came up, they spoke to us and Kevin immediately. When things needed to be touched up and little things done at the end, they were here. In the end, our house looks like a different house in the best way.
