They made a call to Southern Motion Motion asking if I could pick it up at their factory. I live outside KC but was headed down to NAS Pensacola for a retirement ceremony for my former Executive Officer Colonel USMC as his guest speaker. Southern Motion said the console would be ready for my pick up when I arrived several days later. When I arrived with my 5th Wheel I had planned to put the new console inside my RV for a complete upgrade of the original RV furniture. Upon arrival Southern Motion team measured my RV door opening and told me it would not fit fully assembled. I requested the loan of some tools so I could break down the console then reassemble inside my RV. To my amazement their foreman called some skilled technicians who broke it down and then reassembled the console inside my RV for a perfect fit. I requested the charge for such great service, but I was told thank you for your service to our country and there would be no charge. I have praised this company from that day forward for an outstanding console and more importantly for their act of kindness and generosity for a retired veteran with limited capability to have done that work. Souther Motion continues today ( April 2021) to provide above and beyond expectations in customer service by the following to my request using their "Contact Us " on their Website, Per your request and information provided, we are sending you (1) transformer for your recliner (at no charge)."The no charge was not requested, I fully expected to pay for the new part. I spent a great amount of money for 2 reclining leather sofas with heat and massage. First off, they took 6 months to arrive from date of purchase. After they were delivered, the foam cushions went flat in 2 months. It took Southern Motion 8 months to approve the furniture repairs. The replacement padding was just as bad, if not worse. These sofas are only used when we have company. Since I have another room with recliners and TV. Soon after, between the seat cushions the materiel started to deteriorate. Making vertical cracks. The mechanism that brings the head rest forward. Started to make snappy locking sounds. Was not a smooth motion. I have never experienced such poor-quality in a material. The reason I first purchased these, was to support an American Company. BIG MISTAKE. E-mailing customer support was a nightmare. They requested more product information, only to ignore my e-mails afterwards. Finally, after constantly emailing them, they send me a phone number and email for a repair company, that I need to pay for. Save yourselves a great deal of money and headaches, purchase another brand. They will last longer than 2 years with less problems.

I'm not going to rehash and dog on the local furniture company I bought mine from because I already have. They were somewhat victims as well since they didn't actually make the furniture, but guilty by association for selling it. In all fairness, they actually attempted to make it right despite Southern Motion's best shot to ruin a $10,000 dollar purchase. The sofa, loveseat and chair were all upholstered in semi-aniline, top grain leather. I also purchased the 5-year combo policy for an additional $600 plus a little extra for the White Glove Delivery Service. The delivery guys were exceptionally professional, arrived on time and when setting up the furniture, we noticed a few of the (turns out to be nine) manufacture defect concerns, which they took pictures of and said they would show their boss. That night I decided to apply a coat of Leather Honey Conditioner and protectant to all three pieces, and when you do that process, you'll be examining every inch of the furniture. While doing that, I found several more manufacturers' defects, took pictures and sent them to the local retailer. I later received a call from the retailer's representative who was very professional and came to the house to evaluate the defects which were many, as mentioned. I never received a call from anyone at Southern Motion, apparently, they didn't to want to discuss their epic, quality control failures, and/or simply didn't care which seems to be the impression I get from reading many of the other reviews. September 11th, 2025, approximately 4 weeks later and after I had reached out several times attempting to get some resolution, I was offered 3 options: 1. Send all the pieces back and have them fixed. (I had already sold the furniture I was replacing, so I guess we could sit on milk crates for another 6 weeks or so.) 2. Send the defective pieces back a few at a time (lol, can you even imagine doing that?) and 3. A partial refund. Sadly enough, the partial refund seemed to be the only feasible alternative in lieu of professional grade work and customer service. What a disappointing experience with the Southern Motion defect extravaganza that you'll hide from your family and friends instead of showing off what your ten-grand furniture investment just bought. As far as I'm concerned, Southern Motion furniture is a sub-par company, and, as I've read and have personally experienced, are proud to build you furniture with built-in conversation defects at no additional cost. (Bonus!) Reading so many other painful Southern Motion reviews, plus, now, crossing this underwhelming experience off my bucket list, it just might be a good idea when out driving around looking for furniture, to keep an eye out for Southern Motion's trash masquerading as over-priced furniture. Take a minute to soak in what the retailer's manager referred to these as "minor issues." (SMH.)

Southern Motion has the worst customer service we have ever experienced!!! We bought a single…read morerecliner and a dual reclining loveseat from Style House furniture in Atascadero, ca 8/25/2017. The single recliner was delivered with broken mechanisms and broken electronics. We sent the chair back to the store we bought it from with the promise of repair, It is now 3 months later and the Factory of Southern Motion in Mississippi has not sent the parts for repair yet!!! Southern Motion should be ashamed. My husband has had cancer and needed the chair for after his surgery. I recommend you NEVER buy from Southern Motion!!!
