Zero starts, I got quoted a move, no problem had the date set, the morning of the truck wouldn't start, changed the time to noon, then they said they where stopped by DOT, I tried to move it to the next day but he said he had another move in knox, so we agreed on Friday morning at 9 am, I messaged him at 8 as it would take me at least 45 min to get to the storage unit we are trying to move out of, and he never responded, I've tried for days to get a response and nothing, I'm going on 4 days with no response on my deposit or moving my stuff. read more

Joseph is very unprofessional. He gets men 2 go do jobs telling them they will make $350 for the job & that they will be paid 1-2hours after they finish the job,then its been over 24hours later & he's going a run around 2 the 2 men who went & did a job n Lexington while he's somewhere else on another job,never even showed up at the job he had my husband & another young man do. He's sent $160 & is saying my husband's paid. He don't ever need 2 call my husband 2 do another job 4 him because he's a lier,crook,& if u can't keep your word 2 the employee i can only manage how he really does the customers. If any1 uses this company must b stupid. He's sorry AF!!!!! read more

The first time i have ever used a moving company and I can assure you that I would pay double for a different moving company during my next move. I had a floor ripped in the home I was selling that I had to pay out of my own pocket to repair, and a TV was broken and needed to be replaced, again out of my own pocket. I was informed by the employees that the owner would file an insurance claim to cover the cost of repair/replacement. I documented the damages to the floor and to the TV, and sent them to the owner. Received no apology, and was told that an insurance claim was filed and would take 45-60 days before any resolution would occur. It has now been 4 months, I have been completely ignored on multiple occasions by the owner who has made 0 attempts at resolving the issue created by his employees. 0 accountability, and overall an awful way to conduct business. Please do yourself a favor and don't wait until the last minute to schedule a move like I did so that you can do the research and find a company that stands behind their work, both good and bad. Mistakes happen, it is not about the mistake but how the mistake is resolved, and there has been 0 resolution offered in the 129 days since this issue occurred. read more

My experience with Jay was not just disappointing but also marked by dishonest practices. Despite paying in full upfront, the promised efficiency and professionalism were sorely lacking. The movers, regrettably, proved to be slow and unprofessional, failing to complete the job. To compound the issue, attempts to address my concerns with customer service were met with indifference and a lack of accountability. The blatant dishonesty became evident when they charged me in full despite not fulfilling their end of the bargain. I strongly caution others against using this service, as my experience not only fell short of expectations but also revealed a troubling level of deception. Prepayment should ensure a certain standard of service, but in this case, it only amplified the disappointment and dishonesty. read more

I spoke with owner on phone. He assured me they would do a great job in spite of the 'bad review on Yelp'. He said they had their own truck, took care to wrap, cover, and secure all furniture; they were insured and licensed. He said $200 deposit - only payable via Zelle - was fully refundable. I told him I would give them a chance and he said "I assure you we won't disappoint." Three young men showed up an hour late in a U-Haul truck. Young men were very courteous. They came in to start moving and I asked "Don't you have covering and pads?" They said "no -u haul didn't have any". I told them I was not comfortable with them moving my furniture, tvs, mirrors with no protection. "They said "We understand. You have very nice furniture." I called the owner and he said "it's no big deal. You are not moving to California. My guys do this everyday. It's fine." I told him no reputable moving company would move a household of furniture without padding and protection for furniture pieces. . He again stated I was making too big of a deal out of it. The young men said "ma'am, you have really nice furniture and we are not comfortable doing this job for you." and they left. I messaged the owner and asked for my $200 back. He refused to respond. I called and left a message. He refused to respond. I called my banks fraud department and said I had been scammed. They said "Zelle does not cover the payor for fraud or scams." Two lessons learned - 1) if someone has a 1 star review. DON'T take a chance on them; 2) NEVER pay with Zelle because you have no protection against theft. read more

The supervisor at the call center who called herself "Jana", then changed her name to Melissa was the worst! I had a contract for services, paid a deposit and was canceled with no explanation. I relied to my detriment on this contract to fulfill a scheduled move on a specific date and time. This is by far the worst company I have ever encountered.

I hired these guys in 2021 for a move from an upstairs apartment to a downstairs apartment. I had…read moreseveral car wash coupons in my top Chester drawers. I checked after they left and the coupons were gone. Hired them again in 2022 to move into a one bedroom apartment in St Matthew's. When they got there they did not give enough time to direct them where I wanted things, they broke one of my lamps, and I lost a box with pictures and 3 small mini cameras. My last move, I used a moving organizer She used these guys. When we got to the new apartment, again I went into my bedroom and checked my two Chester drawers. Again, the drawers had clothes stuffed into drawers they did not belong in, a pair of jeans that should have been with the clothes in the walk in closet, and they spilled a large bowl of change I had in my Chester drawers. Don't use these guys. Untrustworthy and the owners / office are no help.

I did have a bill of lading from one of the big boy moving companies so he would have an idea of the size of the load. I was able to give him the weight of the load as well as the cubic feet of the load that the national moving company had in their truck. I did explain since i had been in Louisville I had purchased new washer and dryer, a new couch, a new chair and a new table and chairs for the kitchen. He walked the house and saw what I had which most of it was still boxed from my previous move in October of 2022. He stated that a 26-foot box truck would easily accommodate my household belongings. At first he quoted me an hourly rate of $50/hr for his people to pack and load then unload. Then he quoted me a hard number of $4,300 to pack, load a 26 foot truck, drive it to Indianapolis, unload and assemble items like beds, tables and such. I received another quote from a local mover which was a little lower but since Corey seemed more professional and seemed to know what he was doing I chose Alpha Moving. The three guys showed up pretty much when scheduled, one was a little late but we all got into packing the boxes I had saved from my previous move. I was working and packing as much as they were. I bought the three of them lunch and we got back at it. Afterwards I gave them all a $20 for their efforts. On the moving day they were supposed to return between 9 and 10 AM. Robert, one of the other owners, called me at about 9:20 to say that U-Haul did not give him any blankets and that he would need to return to the U-Haul store to get some. (My thought was, wouldn't you notice that before you leave the store and not while you are driving to my house? How does that happen? Did he stop for breakfast and look in the truck? Why didn't he notice when he was there?) Robert finally arrived after 10 AM and the guys started loading. As they got closer to the back of the truck there seemed to be more close conversations between them. They came to me and asked if I can take some items with me in my SUV which I reminded them that I had two large dogs that have been wandering around the house that I will be taking with me. Then they decided that they would place some items, as much as they could, into one of the employees cars. They finally came back to me and said that everything would not fit into the truck and they would either need to rent a trailer or they could have another employee drive his personal pick up (Ford Ranger) and fit as much as they could in that for another $300.00. I told them that I was ensured by Corey that everything would fit into a 26-foot box truck with ease. I told them that I work in an industry that when you give a price you live by it. Well Corey and Robert did not and were charging me the added $300 to get my belongings to my new house. Before we left they were sliding a glass tabletop to a desk into the truck and it shattered into over a million pieces. There was glass everywhere! It took them forever to sweep it out of the truck and on to the driveway and then pick it up off of the driveway using my broom and dustpan. We finally got all loaded and ready for our trek north at around 2 PM. I knew this had the makings of a very long day already. They offloaded the furniture first so I was able to direct where each piece was to go without issue. When they began offloading the boxes that was a different story. They had some boxes that were not labeled so they inevitably ended up in the wrong room. When they finally got everything unloaded we were all standing near the front door and I thanked them for their efforts. I gave them each a $20 again and told them I wish I could give them more but that I was still upset about being charged an extra $300 for Corey underestimating the size of the truck/equipment need to move my belongings and I was going to give each one of them a $50 bill but that they would need to see Corey for it. At that time Robert told me that it all most likely would have fit in this truck but he noticed early on that when they had started packing the front of the truck there were "pockets" and open spaces and the truck should have been packed better and "tighter" than it was. At this point one of the more seasoned employees turned around and walked out the door. I believe he was upset that Robert had just thrown him under the bus in front of a client. So we ended up settling on $300 for the cost of the glass tabletop but they charge an extra 3 or 4% if you use a credit card so they charged me $150 so my total bill was $4450.00 all in. As I have been unpacking I have noticed that one particular box is missing from my many boxes. I have texted Corey to see if either of the two Alpha employees have found the box in their vehicles but he has not responded at all in well over 72 hours which is very bad business.

I thought I was ready when I had boxed, marked, and identified clearly what was gonna be moved. But this superfast crew blazed through, and while the guys with truck were delayed by traffic, the other crew members had moved all stuff to the garage and had'em ready for the truck. Moving sucks. It's expensive and frustrating and difficult. I found barnyard movers on Yelp - and they were less expensive than 3 other movers I called. I was worried about hidden expenses because they were cheaper hourly - but the owner was up front on extra charges - for piano, large chair, coming to Indiana. The guys who showed up were coming from another job - they were young and skinny and I was worried they wouldn't be able to handle the heavier furniture but they were amazing. They were like that energizer bunny and just kept moving. They were careful with my items and respectful to each other throughout the move. Joey and his team were great! Joey was quick to respond whenever I needed to get a hold of him and was a pleasure to work with. We had a crew of 4 movers and they were quick, efficient and had positive attitude throughout the whole move. They also had good memories! Not everything that we packed had a label on it, and it still all ended up in the right room! The biggest thing was moving this giant piano up a curving staircase and it went flawlessly. Service was excellent. The men worked without breaks and had us moved in a matter of a few hours. Far faster than I had expected. They carefully unwrapped furniture in plastic & the many moving pads used for additional protection. Boxes were set up at the new location and they positioned furniture to our specifications.
