They also require an "orientation day" to ensure all pets are a good fit for their facility. I know my sweet baby boy becomes increasingly anxious while I'm away, so I was concerned about how he would handle his orientation. Erica contacted me to let me know he was uncomfortable, but didn't use that as a reason to say he wasn't a good fit, as I assumed they would. Instead, she gave my pet some individualized attention and moved him to a quieter section of the facility, Cedar Park. With updates throughout his orientation from Erica, I was assured he was in truly caring hands. Still, I was a bit nervous to board my dog for 5 days as I traveled across the country for a seminar. Erica suggested bringing him in again before my trip to get him further acclimated. While I was still a little uneasy about leaving him, I knew he'd be in the best care provided in my absence with Perfect Pet Resort. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is outstanding! I am…read morewriting it because I wish someone had warned me to ask the right questions and go in with your eyes open because what happened to my dog Sage could happen to yours. On June 25th, I dropped Sage off at approximately 7:30 AM for a supervised daycare session. At 11:30 AM I received a call that there had been an "incident." I left work immediately to find my dog with a deep, open gash beneath his eye, bleeding and in pain. Another dog in his play group had bitten him. I rushed Sage to an emergency veterinary clinic where the wound required surgical stitches to close. He will carry a permanent scar under his eye for the rest of his life. I paid upfront before they would even begin treatment. When I reached out to the owner, Mickey, seeking reimbursement and answers, I was told the incident was an inherent risk of group play and that the waiver I signed at enrollment limited their responsibility. I have not received reimbursement, and the matter is still unresolved. Also, I was told in person there wasn't any video evidence but the owner via email said that she reviewed the video evidence and can not share it with me. If you choose to bring your pet here, I urge you to: ask specifically how dogs are evaluated and grouped by temperament, ask what the supervision ratio is in the play area at all times, ask what happens if your dog is injured and who bears the financial responsibility, and read every word of the waiver before you sign it. Also, ask for a tour of the facility and how do you check on your dog when you are not around. I loved the idea of this place and I wanted it to work. But after what Sage went through and how it was handled, I feel a responsibility to share this so other pet owners can make a fully informed decision.

Their entire team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Our baby Nala absolutely loves going there, she gets so excited at drop-off, which says everything. It gives us so much comfort knowing she's not just being cared for, but genuinely loved while she's there. The grooming services are amazing. Nala always comes back looking beautiful and happy. When it comes to boarding, we have complete peace of mind. We trust them 100% to take the best possible care of our baby, and that kind of trust is priceless. And just last month, I took my latest addition in to get up-to-date on her vaccinations & to receive calming meds for a four-day road trip (my cat only rides in my car for vet visits, so I wanted to be prepared for any potential anxiety during the 10+ hour drive each day). This was the first time I met Dr. B's son, who started off by saying, "I LOVE cats." This put me at great ease because I knew my spoiled little furball would be in excellent hands despite just meeting the new veterinarian. Everything went even better than I imagined & he gave me a thorough explanation on what to expect when administering Gabapentin to my cat. During her exam, he also mentioned that one of her teeth was almost ready to fall out which took me by complete surprise! He showed me the plaque buildup & I guess I hadn't realized that it had actually been some time since her last appointment...back when her little chompers were sparkling white. I was advised to get an enzymatic toothpaste for pets (which I actually purchased just a week before her appointment, go figure) & although I said she probably wouldn't let me come close to her teeth ever again, he assured me without the slightest bit of hesitation: "You can do it!" We also discussed diet & more specifically, taurine content in cat kibble. The doctor wished us safe travels & we were on our way. *I wanted the Gabapentin as a "just in case" & fortunately, didn't have to use it. My gal was as sweet as pie & only disrupted my sleep by smacking my face at precisely 3 AM every morning during our trip to play. Meow!

Bully breed & anxious dog owners -- PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING…read more I brought my 11-year-old pit bull to this hospital today for an appointment because he has a large bump near his anus that needs to be evaluated. Anyone who owns a bully breed knows that vet visits can already be stressful, and my dog is particularly anxious in veterinary environments. I made the staff aware of this. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM, and I arrived at 3:15 PM. A staff member escorted us into a separate exam/patient room because my dog is very anxious and can be reactive around other people and animals. The lady brought us 2 water bottles because it's a very hot day. What happened afterward was extremely frustrating. My dog and I sat there for approximately 45 minutes with nobody checking on us. My dog was crying and whining because he was scared and anxious, and not one person came in to check on him, update me, or tell me there was a delay. There was still no communication about when we would actually be seen. Because my dog was becoming increasingly anxious, I went to the receptionist and asked if I could walk him outside. I was told yes. I left my phone in the car and took my dog for a walk. When I came back, I discovered that I had two missed calls and a voicemail saying they were calling because I was a "no-show" and asking if I wanted to reschedule. A NO-SHOW?! I WAS THERE. My dog was there. Your staff escorted us to a room. We waited for approximately 45 minutes. I specifically asked your receptionist for permission to walk my dog. Instead of someone simply coming to the room and saying, "We're running behind, are you still able to wait?" or letting me know the veterinarian was delayed, I was apparently marked as a no-show while I was literally following the instructions given to me by your own staff. For owners of bully breeds, reactive dogs, or dogs who already struggle with anxiety, please think twice before bringing your dog here. These dogs require patience, communication, and proper handling. Putting an already anxious dog in an unfamiliar environment for nearly an hour with no updates and then have the AUDACITY to call me saying I was a NO SHOW????? I ultimately left because I was not going to continue putting my senior dog through unnecessary stress after the way this appointment was handled. My dog deserved better, and so did I. I strongly recommend bully-breed parents and anyone with an anxious or reactive dog look elsewhere for veterinary care. There are other veterinary hospitals that understand that these dogs need a little more patience and communication.
