She mixed up our one gallon, $75 order, and we paid. The people that bought a quart were given paint stirrers and a paint can opener. We were offered neither. I guess I'd say I'd never go back here. They obviously don't follow their own rules from the poster there on the wall of how to take care of 'guests'.

Creative Living by Marty is a hidden gem in Ormond Beach, FL. The first time I entered the store I…read morewas amazed at just how much was in it. Small store with lots of creative home furnishings and furniture. Now they are in a much larger location which has allows the visitor to really take in all the magnificent pieces that are available for a very modest price. The store also sells Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral paints and other items (which are also used to upcycle furniture and home decor). The owner is very knowledgeable and has invested a great amount of her artistic talent in the items for sale. And if you would like to try your hand at upcycling some furniture that you have, there are periodic classes which teach you how to use the different products by Dixie Belle. Like others have stated the store seems a bit disorganized but with all the help on the floor I doubt it would be difficult to locate anything they stock. So why only 4-stars, well the checkout process although extremely friendly and staffed by two cashiers was extremely slow - I think I was 6-8 people back when I lined up and it took quite sometime to pay for the one item and get on my way. The owner sells mostly to architecture and art students, but that is not all he has. He is a painter, and post-industrial lamp-maker! "What is that?", you ask. He takes ordinary objects that people see as junk and turns them into the funkiest one-of-a-kind lamps you will ever see! Some of them look like bugs, some look like robots, and some are just ...well... unique! This place is a Gainesville original!!! He makes his lamps from: guitars, microwave glass plates, fixtures, cars parts, brackets, or most anything that has used up its usefulness (post-industrial), and most people want to throw away! Just to see what he comes up with is amazing! When I was there, he was working on a lamp made from an old tuba! Yes! A TUBA!!!! You have to see this place to understand.
