I love this store and their selection of everything art. For me it's about acrylic painting (studio Canvases, brushes, paint, spra). It's important to know that they stock every type of supply for all art avenues/mediums - not limited to painting. They also maintain an inventory of virtually every size canvas and at great prices. Stephanie and Alan are very helpful. I have been shopping with them for ~15 years. I went into the original store. They have been instrumental in getting me started on my acrylic journey. I love shopping there. I don't paint as much as I used to, but they are my first stop when I get ready to do a project. They have a wonderful selection and they are very helpful. I happened to be over in Ponte Vedra the other day and swung into PV Arts & Crafts as I heard that they had a section of needlepoint designs and supplies. I've slowly come back into doing cross-stitch and it's been tough to find a local store with supplies, designs, and hand-dyed floss and fabric. There were a few kits at Reddi-Arts prior to their closure, but I haven't found much that isn't, at least, an hour drive away now. While the cross-stitch/embroidery section was a bit smaller than I hoped, I was excited to find some great Satsuma Street designs, some hand-dyed thread, and some different fabrics that were available. I definitely could come by with a floss color key and gather all I need for any project. I didn't get a chance to fully explore the books or even get into where the majority of PV Arts & Crafts fabric is held, but I'm looking forward to my next trip to delve in even more. As I was on my lunch, I didn't have too much time to poke around further into the store, so I'll have to make a return trip when I don't have a time restriction. This is a spot that is much bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside, and everyone would benefit for having some time to explore. read more

Wooooooow- been doing art in Jax for years, but I'm so far on the westside of Jax I don't think PV arts came up when I would do a Google Maps search. This place is EXACTLY what I needed- waaaay better prices than ReddiArts (and selection honestly) and while I love Jerry's for quick cheapy bulk buys, they just don't have some of the brands I'm looking for (for instance Caran D'ache)- and *most importantly* THEY SELL SINGLES! I got SINGLES of: -Holbein artist gouache, -Daniel Smith watercolors, -PENCILS from Caran D'ache (had not tried the museum aquarelles, I did in store now I'm obsessed!) & pencils from Derwent -Brush pens from tombow The list goes on... Not to mention staff is super knowledgeable, able to answer questions about product, and informed me of all the items on discount. Professional artist? Tell them! It's great to have a really good art supply retailer in our area. Owners Alan & Stephanie Campbell have a huge inventory of just about anything an artist or art student will need and if you can't find it, they can get it for you very quickly. I visited this store for the first time, this week, as I was in the area for business. My first thought was "cool - a miniature Dick Blick (http://www.dickblick.com/ )" as they at one time had brick-and-mortar stores in Florida. As I wandered the store, though, I noticed a wonderful twist: in addition to traditional art supplies (including a new line of watercolors that may appear under the Xmas tree for my daughter), they also have an excellent selection of papercrafting & mixed media supplies. Whether you are a stamper, scrapbooker, art journalist, or whatever, they have something for you. I was able to complete my Perfect Pearls selection (including a few colors I didn't even know about), and added the complete Perfect Medium set, too (ink pad, refill, pens, etc.). But they go well beyond Ranger, as I also raided their stash of metal templates & vinyl stencils. For sure, I would visit this store again if I was in the area. Like I said, I may also be placing an order for the holiday season, too. :) They were cheerfully willing to ship my purchase to me (I only brought carry-on luggage). Great news! You don't have to 'cross the ditch' for your arts and crafts supplies at the Jax beaches. I accidentally found this store - wish I knew about it before (it doesn't show up on internet searches for Jacksonville because it is just over the line in St. John's County). Like a Tardis, PVA&C is bigger on the inside with a much better selection of fine art supplies n' wool than any chain/box store, and comparable craft supplies. Plus, not a long check out line & no need to hunt around for knowledgeable & helpful employees like at Michael's or Hobby Lobby ;-) Want to update your model railroad landscape, pimp your bullet journal, design wedding favors, keep the grand-kids busy on a rainy day, make jewelry, decoupage, or find a new hobby? The best art store in Jax Beaches and Jax

I loved them when they were "Crafts and More" in Jax beach and I love them even more in this location. Great selection of paint brushes and there's always a sale. I do wish they had more selection of watercolor paint brands but they have both student and professional grade and the prices are reasonable. I also love that I can ask any questions about products and get knowledgable answers. Will continue to buy my supplies here. read more
