TLDR I was overcharged by over $7,000 by Southern Palms Mazda for my trade in financing (2022 Mazda CX-30 to 2026 Mazda 3). Management has not answered my emails or followed up with me after I expressed that I was deceived and blatantly lied to by their salesperson Samantha, as well as the finance manager Eli. That location from top to bottom is practicing deceptive sales practices and tactics, taking advantage of people that obviously aren't knowledgeable on car sales. I've had no issue with the service team at all, and have been going there for YEARS. The only issue I have is with the management and sales team. I am going to share screenshots below of other similar reviews within less than a year. This is a pattern. Please be careful! Facts: - May 22nd - Received initial call from dealership stating that they have a special deal for me to buy my car at the price I purchased it at. (2022 Mazda CX-30) - May 23rd - Visited dealership and worked with the salesperson Samantha. During the process of trading my 2022 Mazda CX-30 for a 2026 Mazda 3, I asked multiple times about the price of the new car. She told me that she didn't know and that finance would tell me. (She knew the entire time.) - She proceeded to focus on showing me monthly payment options alone. - She also revealed that my car had negative equity of about $7k, but verbally stated that the dealership would take care of it and pay off my loan completely. It's important to note that she did not inform me that the negative equity would be added onto the finance amount. (I would've declined the offer if I knew.) - I agreed to a monthly payment that matched what I paying at that time. (~$557) I was then told to return on May 25th for the car because there was a 'code' that needed to be removed before letting me have it. - May 25 - I returned to finalize everything with the finance manager, Eli. He went over two payment options with me, the agreed amount and one higher than that. ($657 with lower interest rate of 2.9%) the initial amount had a much higher interest rate, so I agreed to $657 at 2.9%. - At no point did he review the contract costs with me before having me sign the document. Again, I would've declined if I was properly informed of the additional costs and fees that were added on. - June 13 (a day or so prior to this date, I finally received an email to set up my financing account. That's when I first noticed that the total amount was $43,000 and that they added the negative equity onto the finance amount.) - Visited dealership to address discrepancies related to the finance amount. Eddy, the manager, gave me his number and assured me that he would look into it and try to help me. Never heard from him. - June 18 - I sent a detailed email to the manager Jesus and finance manager Eli detailing my experience and my hope to resolve it without escalation. No response at all, even after two follow ups. (They had previously responded to my emails before so I know the emails are correct.) - June 23 - I texted Samantha, the salesperson, respectfully to address that she lied to me about not knowing the car price. She proceeded to lie again and become defensive. Screenshots added. - I asked if she could help me get management involved, but she ignored that. - July 4 - I filed two formal complaints against the dealership with the FTC and the FL Attorney General - July 17 - Received call from Julian, the dealership's recently hired Customer Retention Manager, asking about my experience. - He did not know anything prior to the call. - He did not have a company email when asked for it, stating it was still in the works. So he provided his phone number. - I told him everything that I experienced and he said he would do what he could to properly compensate me for my experience. - Haven't heard anything back from him either. Emotions: I feel like an utter fool for trusting the sales and management team to be transparent with me during the trade in process. I'm not savvy with car sales by any means, but I do work in banking and understand the importance of disclosing information, especially to those that might not understand how things work. I made the poor assumption that I could trust them. I should've been more diligent and assertive, and accept my own responsibility in this completely. However, that doesn't change the fact that I was actively deceived and manipulated. Both are true. This entire situation has caused me immense stress and emotional turmoil. I've wondered if I'm crazy or just dumb for letting this happen to me, but I know I'm just a young woman that was taken advantage of, and not the first by any means. I genuinely hope I'll be the last, so please beware of this place. I've always had a strong relationship with this dealership, but the new ownership has ruined it completely.

This is my second Mazda purchased at this dealership, and they took very good care of me. Our sales representative, Giovanni, was very responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. He answered all questions and made me feel very comfortable about my new car purchase. Thanks for taking great care of me, I'll surely be back for my next Mazda!

Just bought a Mazda Cx-30, all the staff was really nice and helpful, but specially Juan Martinez, I could even say he's the best salesperson at Mazda, left very satisfied with the experience, thank you!

You need to go with a knowledgeable mechanic and tools in order to retrieve parts from the cars. From time to time I get sucked in to going to lend some muscle. There is another LKQ in Ft, Lauderdale and having been to both, they are equally miserable. There are junkyards that pull the parts for you but this junkyard is in the you pull it category. You can look online to see the car inventory and vehicles are arranged in rows. Parts go fast so you really need to hit the cars when they first enter the yard. You need to bring your own cart or wheelbarrow to haul your parts. They check your toolbox before you enter and there is a $3 admission per person. In addition to tools and some way to haul your stuff I highly recommend water. There is zero shade on the lot and you will feel like you are baking alive. An umbrella for shade and rain is a good idea too. They do have some snack and drink machines. As soon as you step into the yard, the smell of vehicle fluids smacks you in the face. I can't describe it but it always makes me feel sick. The ground is a dry dirt that covers your shoes and legs. That is until the rain comes and then you are walking in mud. Despite the heat, smell, and dirt I always find the cars interesting. A lot of them are here because of accidents. You can see the deployed airbags and the perfect circles where heads have smacked the glass. I have never seen it but I have heard stories of remnants of flesh left behind. A walk around here reminds you to buckle up. The accident cars usually have personal effects left behind. They are towed from the scene and sold to the yard and the owners never see their cars again. Car seats, hats, and paperwork are common to see. There aren't any restrooms or port a potties on the lot, so one thing I have seen is the backside of gentlemen relieving themselves. Once you find a car with parts you like it is up to you to pull them off. Sometimes you will see someone already working on the car you want. I believe the correct junk yard etiquette is you can look over the car while they are working on it but do not start on it until they are finished. My least favorite part of the visit is trying to haul heavy car parts back to the front to pay. I always leave covered in sweat, dirt, and God only knows what else. They do have a return policy which requires you to have your parts marked before you leave, I saw in previous reviews that people have complained about how they were treated here but that has never been the case with me. Everyone who works here has been exceedingly kind to me but then again I just tag along. I never argue with them about prices. If you need to save money and you have the skills, this is the cheapest way to get car parts.

That's how I found myself here on a Sunday afternoon, searching for a replacement for our Mitsubishi Outlander. We located a matching vehicle online in their yard and crossed our fingers it would still be there when we arrived. Luckily, it was! U Pull & Pay is conveniently located near Palm Beach International Airport--you'll definitely notice the planes flying overhead. They're open seven days a week, which is a huge plus. Admission to the yard is $3 per person, or $2 if you sign up for their free VIP program. Just note: no one under 16 is allowed in the yard. The staff was friendly and helpful, pointing us directly to the right row. From there, you're on your own--you do need to bring your own tools. Fortunately, the back glass on the Mitsubishi was still intact. After dodging a few rainstorms and putting in some effort, we were able to remove it successfully. We even found some interior trim pieces we needed. If you're not able to pull parts yourself, they do offer that as a service. Inside, there's a lounge area and an actual restroom--which, while not the freshest-smelling, is still better than the porta-potties you often find at similar places. They also sell inexpensive drinks (a lifesaver in the heat, since there's little shade in the yard) and even have shelves with random thrift items recovered from cars. One thing to keep in mind: they don't offer cash refunds, but with a receipt and marked part, exchanges are allowed within 30 days. Overall, I think their prices are some of the best in the area--what we paid was about half the price of LKQ next door. What could've been a costly mistake turned into a much more manageable fix thanks to U Pull & Pay.
