I literally asked if there was a 5th floor, there is not, because of the constant stomping sound after multiple nights. For an average of 180 per night without tax I prefer to have a restful sleep. My review for Hampton Inn…read more I recently stayed at Hampton Inn for a weekend. I usually DO NOT write reviews. The hotel needs to offer a disclaimer before booking that they are renovating. I've been to location that are remodeling but there are not piles of dirty mattresses old furniture, lamps, pictures, etc. in the parking lot. The parking lot is extremely small so guests have to find parking. There is limited parking. The rooms are horrid. They have ripped up the carpet and applied cheap looking laminate flooring. The flooring is a light grey so you see every spot remaining in the floor. I spent 10 minutes wiping spots on the floor before I realized it was not coming up. The blinds were not on the window. No curtains were in the room. They taped a black paper shade to the window. As a guest you will sacrifice sleep because the hotel sits next to a train track (a very busy train track). The ultimate disrespect was the fact that the elevator DOES NOT WORK. I repeat the elevator does not work!!! After which I could not forgo writing a review. One of the employees said this is a repeat issue with the elevator. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. At $150 a night you got to be kidding me. If I could've rated it a ZERO I WOULD HAVE. I will repost this posting with pictures when I return.

We found the local area full of charm and enjoyed a kayak down the Withlacoochee River to Madison Blue Spring State Park and beyond to the next boat ramp. My sister had been before and bragged about the evening dinner and cocktails service and the breakfast- food included, tell me more! What I will tell you is I have no idea how they serviced a fully booked hotel with so many people in the dining room space they had! I was sincerely impressed. Huge hotel, right off I75- easy to find and get to. Lobby is big and beautiful- plenty of lounging seating and tables and chairs. I spent several hours in the lobby just enjoying the space. Check in was smooth, the room clean and spacious. I really loved the shower stall and the curved door. I was surprised they didn't have spare blankets in the room closet. Breakfast was exactly what I expected- buffet style, real eggs, homefries, make your own waffles, fresh pancakes being made at the griddle station, hot coffee, soda fountain & more. Cocktail and snack in the evening- there is a ton of food provided! They have a limited cocktail bar- simple drinks- we got bourbon and coke. First night- food was tacos, chili, fajitas- the only food I could eat (I have a food allergy to peppers) was the hot dog and salad. I was impressed by the spread even if I couldn't eat. Night 2- bbq, same problem- I couldn't eat any of it. For a family, this is an exceptional deal to travel with a couple meals included. I do think you need more than 4 handicap parking spots. The pool and hot tub- no. Simply no thank you. I tried and failed- I found diaper fill in the hot tub- I exited before getting in so FAST! I might have also been a bit loud about it. I think hotel management should implement a mid day cleaning- even if they close the pool for an hour daily. It was disgusting. Avoid at all cost.
