While traveling to the area I was in need of a few bicycle helmets and security locks so we could enjoy a few E-bikes I ordered online and had shipped to Lake Charles before leaving Florida for a little R & R. I stopped in here hoping to find a few light weight helmets that weren't too outrageously in design for a reasonable price. It was nice to be able to get fitted verses guessing and purchasing something online then being unhappy or ending up with something that could be uncomfortable. The two gentlemen that were working here during our visit were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in regards to anything we asked. I also learned the correct way to secure my bikes knowing that's it's impossible to prevent theft if the thief is determined to steal them, but there are definitely ways to deter those that are only looking for an easy opportunity or at least delay the theft from a very determined thief that has the battery powered cutting tools that have become so popular in that profession. The bottom line is the more difficult you make it and the long it takes a thief to steal it the more likely they'll choose an easier target. The new technology and advances in biking has made owning a bike a substantial investment regardless if you spend a few hundred dollars or many thousands for these higher tech bikes it's imperative that you protect your investment. Brought two tubeless wheels in for a simple tire change. The wheels are all set up tubeless, has tubeless on them and the spare tires are tubeless. I was told that it would take a few days. No problem it was Monday and I didn't need them until the weekend. Called on Friday, nothing done, the clerk said that he would put them into get changed right away. Friday evening, nope, not even looked at. The clerk's excuse was that tubeless tires are harder to change than regular tires. This is a bike shop full of mountain bikes......... read more

As a beginner cyclist, I don't know all of the ins and outs of the sport, but they have been there to assist me with ALL of my questions. I dropped off bike to have 2 new tires and new chain put on....something I thought was a pretty simple & quick fix. I was told due to backlog it would take 3 weeks or less to get it fixed. After 3 weeks and no word, I started calling. Every time I called there was confusion about which bike was mine and trouble finding the ticket. It's now been over a month and bike isn't fixed, nor do they have a clue when it will be fixed. You can tell they have no concern for getting this done in a timely manner. They have shown that they could care less to have my business, so I will take my business elsewhere to someone who cares about their customers. read more

I did not want to write a bad review because they did satisfactory service but the lack of customer service response is very important information to share. I will not recommend this store for service. I had two bicycles repaired at this shop. One bike required a tune-up. These repairs were completed to satisfaction. The other bike needed a rear hub repair and a tune-up. The rear hub was repaired to satisfaction, however, there was confusion on the tune-up so this was not completed when I came to pick up the bikes the first time. I noticed this and asked to leave the bike so they could complete the tune-up. I paid in advanced. During the week, I got a call from the shop asking what needed to be done to the bike. I stated a tune-up. The gentlemen was confused because I paid in advance. Later in the week, I called to make sure the bike would be completed by the weekend (I live an hour away and didn't want to waste a trip) and again I had to explain a tune-up needed to be done. I picked up the bike assuming they did the work to satisfaction. I did not inspect the work which was a big mistake. The following weekend I went for a bike ride and notice that there was no air in the tires, I also noticed the brakes were not very tight and the gears would slip or the chain would fall of when I was going uphill. I exam the bike and noticed the bicycle chain was still very dirty. I called the store and was told to send photos via email. I did but I have not gotten a response. I am very disappointed in the customer recovery service. read more
