Le Creuset has been renowned as the colorful French cookware in kitchens since 1925. Naturally my…read morefamily has one. I say "one" because the price is exorbitant! My daughter would like a roasting pan. I thought it would make a nice Xmas gift. When I started to question her thinking I could surprise her, I realized that purchasing one can be complicated. She's so particular. They have many styles and different colors. I gave up. She's waiting for a sale. The department stores typically exclude this product from coupons. It's just isn't a money maker for an American Department Store. It's too heavy for me to use personally. I'm glad my daughter does the cooking. She can lift the heavy metal pots and pans. They're definitely beautiful to look at. I love a pot that comes with a lid. It's nice enough to keep on the counter as kitchen decor! If you're a serious chef I'm sure you're aware of the brand. I recommend it if you can afford this line of cookware. They never wear out!

Le Creuset is so sturdy. My inherited mid-twentieth century Dutch oven is used many times a week…read more It must have enjoyed spending a few nights in the refrigerator as they say "chillin' ". (Surprised there was room for it). Is three nights in a row pushing the use of leftovers? I don't think so especially if they can be given a different treatment for each dinner. Night one was chicken thighs slow cooked in a bit of wine with onion, garlic, celery and cashews with toasted turmeric, soy sauce and oyster sauce. Night two was the remaining meat, boned, and its sauce with thin spaghetti, and lots of black pepper. Night three was a delicious broth made from the cooking water of carrots and sauce (who knew this would work?). The reason that I'm writing this, is to a large measure, the photo of my favorite part of this dish. Mathematician Bf beautifully noodl-ized a brick of firm tofu. Sixteen cuts to the length and five cuts to the depth produced the cutest and very accurate thin tofu slices. Could I do this? Never. The Le Creuset Dutch oven was smiling that it may get some time off now.

Adding asparagus to leftover chicken while sucking on a cough drop. Chewing on the tough ends revealed deliciousness of sweet asparagus!

This is where the sour cream was added when carrots soft. Ideally pureed. Maybe tonight.

As you can see in my screenshot, it felt like this company just wants your money, and no questions are allowed. I was genuinely shocked by the responses. The screenshot shows my second question after this person couldn't even answer the first one. All I wanted to know was how they do the installation so I could make the right decision. Instead, this person came back basically saying they didn't want to answer any technical questions, in a very rude way, plus the conspiracy theory that "I am in the industry." Apparently, asking about backsplash installation accidentally activated the Countertop Intelligence Agency. From the beginning, when I communicated with this person, I could tell they were annoyed when I asked what materials they use and what options they offer. It felt like this person just wanted to sell me something quickly. Well, that's not how it works when you're spending a few thousand dollars on countertops and backsplash. These are basic questions. I guess I'll have to put my money somewhere else. Sad, because they seem to do a good job and most people seem happy with them.
