One of the biggest things to stand out when I went to Ace Hardware what's the difference in the way the staff treats and greets you upon entering the store. At Ace Hardware the staff are right at the front door and when you enter the store they greet you and ask you how can they help you. At the big hardware stores they walk around with their blue orange orange vest and ignore you and hope you won't ask them a question. I doubt any of the staff at Ace will tell you "I'm sorry I can't help you that's not my department."

After a month of back and forth with phone calls and emails, they informed me that I would not be able to get a refund for my purchase. I didn't realize fence repair and replacement was another service they offer. Completely repaired and a brand new gate in hours. It's a wonderful feeling to have the sense of relief from the danger of the trees!!!
