I needed a prescription for sinusitis before it got any worse, but my doctor's office was closed for Juneteenth. My pharmacist suggested an urgent care, so that's how I came to use Southern Urgent Care. When I checked in, I was given a few forms to fill out and had my insurance and id cards copied at the front desk. The young woman was very pleasant, but then again I was the only person in the waiting area. As soon as I turned in the paperwork, I was taken to an exam room. A nurse took my temp., blood pressure, and heart rate. Then the doctor or PA came in, Ms. Bender. She was nice, laughed at my senior humor, and listened to my lifetime of experience with sinusitis. She prescribed what I needed. My Medicare and supplement BCBS took care of the cost. By the time I drove three blocks to my pharmacist, the prescription had already been called in! Last Monday(7/31) while walking in the surf on Garden City Beach I felt something hit my toe. I came out of the water and saw a fish hook impaled under my toe nail with about an 18 inch fishing line attached. I was in a good deal of pain and I fully expected that the nail might have to be removed to extract the barbed hook. I was treated by Heidi Davis who looked at the situation and assured me that she could take care of it. After numbing the toe she proceeded to push the hook foward until the barbed end came out the other end of the toe nail. She then cut the hook in half and slid out both sections. After wrapping the toe she sent me on my way. I cannot say enough about the care I received from Heidi Davis. She was very calm and reassuring and did a great job on extracting the hook. Negligence! Went to the clinic for abdominal pain and black stool, was asking to be checked for an ulcer or have my stool tested for blood. The attending physician, failed to order the proper tests needed to diagnose the issue and then they proceeded to hide the mistake! Numerous ignored phone calls and voicemails. Heidi Davis was my main doctor from the ages of roughly 14-18 years old. During the majority of the duration I was seeing Heidi, I was dealing with depression, anxiety, and excruciating stomach problems. For 3 years I constantly brought up my issues with my stomach and I was ignored. SPOILER I ended up have a 10 pound tumor on my ovary caused by ovarian cancer. Around August 2023, my stomach problems worsened and I became so bloated I looked like I was pregnant. Even after bringing that to Heidi?s attention, she decided to tell my father she thinks I should be sent to a mental institution because she believed I was causing myself to have these stomach issues. Eventually after being denied an ultrasound by Heidi Davis and the hospital, I became so ill I had to go to the ER and was rushed to MUSC, where my life was saved. If Heidi Davis would have done her job correctly, maybe I would still have both of my ovaries at 19. Please DO NOT let Heidi Davis be in control of you or loved ones health. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! they breach hippa then yell at you for it. They had the wrong date of birth down for me as well as phone number. Called the wrong number and left test results on the voicemail. Also told my test results to someone else when they asked, as well as told him they would email him MY results. When I questioned the nurses on this they said well you didn't answer the phone. I asked what telephone number they called and they would not tell me (bc they had wrong number) owner heather called me a cunt as well, all because I was mad my health information was shared with someone else, who was NOT my emergency contact. Horrible place and lack of concern for you health stay away save yourself some time and just go to your regular doctor or the ER! Went here Sunday 1/5/20 with server lower back pain to the point where I couldn't walk the receptionist was very nice and polite the Medical Assistant showed no interest in her job and my vitals at all and when I got to see the Medical practitioner she asked what my issues were I explained to her I was having server lower back pain deep in my back she had my urinate in a cup the test came back negative so she said it was a muscle strain without any exam and further testing. Went home later the night the pain got some bad I couldn't sleep and nothing was helping the next morning I went to my regular Primary Care Doctor and explained to her what was going on she immediately said i had a kidney infection she did a for thorough exam and confirmed I had kidney stones and prescribed the proper treatment and medication. If I would listen to Urgent Carr who said I had a strain muscle I would have been in bad shape just a few days later. I give this place and the staff 2 thumbs down! I went yesterday because I had toenail infection and needed to get approval that the infection didn't go to my bone . I'm having stem cell procedure in two days. So I only waited less then ten mins in waiting area. Didn't wait long before I met the Dr's nurse practitioner and then the Dr. . They were great took X-rays really examined my toenail . Billed for services not rendered. Confirmed that this would be cleared up last month and just received another bill. No answer at either number for 2 days. On date of injury, they took $115 and checked pt in. They had us wait for 1.5 hours while the DR had coffee and giggles with the staff in a back office. We heard another woman speak to an assistant about getting her "herpes medication". No privacy for patients. I lost my cool after that and this was at the 90 minute mark. I insisted the doctor come in to see the pt. Dr sent us to ER for a spinal cord injury that they didn't have the ability to treat. They refunded the $115 and said no charge bc they were unable to render care. They didn't secure the injury - just sent us on our way. NEVER AGAIN. read more

The PA was extremely caring and took the time to listen and talk to me, not at me, which are qualities I feel a lot of doctors have let slip.
