Simple Moves called me back immediately, the owner, Kade, was friendly and upfront about all costs, explained how the process works and gave me a quote over the phone. He booked me for that upcoming Saturday. The two guys that showed up got to work immediately. They were very efficient with their time. Took beds apart, wrapped furniture in plastic, cardboard or blankets. Carefully loaded it in the truck. Cleaned up after themselves. Then unpacked it just as carefully and twice as fast as they'd packed it up. They worked non-stop, tirelessly all day, were so polite and accommodating. I was very happy by the days end, all of my furniture was perfectly placed, nothing scratched, a huge job done so professionally and seamlessly. He suggested that he could do it no problem! Perfect - Kill two birds with one stone! THIEF: He has kept my Baldez stationary exercise bicycle, expensive Honda pressure washer and other miscellaneous items. He has admitted, via text message, to having these items and promised to return them. It has been almost a year now and has not returned them and is not responding to my text messages. Taking and keeping what is not yours I believe is stealing. In my opinion Gail is a thief. FRAUD: I paid him close to $900 as part of the contract to insure my 4 cars, one a classic, and all of my personal belongings and furniture. During the move one of my cars had paint damage and other items were broken or damaged. I requested an insurance claim form for the damages. His response was that he failed to pay the insurance premium and now he has no insurance. So, what happened to my $900 insurance payment to him? In my opinion this is fraud. LIAR: He promised to send me an insurance claim form which he has not done so to date and now we know why not. He frequently promises you one thing and fails to fulfill what he has promised. I was pleased with the move out of our home, and storage of items for 2 weeks, but delivery to our…read morenew brought some frustrations. Majesty movers was timely and the crew were hard workers but a few things were broken- first my Curio cabinet glass panel which I was told I could go to a glass store and get replaced (on my dime) Carlos- part owner (?) did promise to take care of our designer lights in which one of the globes broke. There are 2 lamps with 3 frosted globes each - one broke that Carlos said he'd get fixed, but he took all 6 globes so I can't use either lamp. They were expensive and no longer available so I'm screwed. Why did he take all of them?? I've tried to contact Alyson (owner?) a number of times and she said she'd have Carlos contact me, which he hasn't and now Alyson ignores my calls as well. What a shame - they could have gotten a great rating but I'd certainly not recommend to anyone now.
