Republic service missed my trash pickup on April 10,2026 and I didn't know until Saturday so I called Monday and they said they'd be here on Tuesday and Tuesday no trash pickup so again I called (which the number calling gets sent to broken down English speaking people from out of state ) so they said they would be there Wednesday and still no trash pickup so Wednesday I called AGAIN and they said Thursday and Guess What no trash pickup and now tomorrow is my regular trash pickup and now it's been two weeks!! This is ridiculous and I pay my bills and still nothing gets done. I sure miss my old driver he never missed my trash pickups. Very frustrating!!! read more

Republic is service for residential trash pick up in Dinosaur Crossing area 1) Regular trash cans (Grey) were completely not pickedup week ending 8/15/25- Whole week with no trash pick up Property Mangement company was nto contacted - and no explanation provided 2) Regular trash cans were picked up -Later and Later on Friday 8/22/25 3) Blue can Recycable- are only picked up every other week No Blue cans picked up 8/22/25 No explanation FYI Recyclable can fill up faster than regular trash- Sad when company has ONE JOB and mangement is incompetent- Suggest better communication - if trucks break down,: delays in schedules- Maybe would be agood idea to contact Property mangement companies (DUH) read more

I have been trying to cancel my contract with Republic services since July 29. I have gotten nothing but a run around and unethical behavior. They obviously cannot get business and keep business. So this is the way they make money. I have sent emails and had conversation conversations and today I was told they were only cancel my contract with a certified letter adding 60 more days to my contract. It's somewhat unclear if this listing is for the residential trash pickup or the landfill, so I'll comment on both. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved here and was told there is mandatory recycling in my neighborhood (by mandatory they mean everyone gets a bin, sadly not that they enforce trash separation). Glass must be taken to one of the many drop-off locations, but it's mixed stream recycling for plastics, paper and metal (ridiculously easy for the lazy). All recycled materials can also be taken to the drop-off locations, but must be separated. I'm also doing a DIY remodel of my house and whatever can't be taken to Habitat for Humanity Restore gets hauled to the landfill. You can take a whopping 1 ton of building materials or yard waste per month at no extra charge (likely to prevent assholes from dumping their trash in the desert). read more

I moved here to Utah May 7th 2018 and have had nothing but problems with my recycling and trash removal. Since I had no trash cans on the 11th, I had to wait until the 18th of May to have my trash and recycling removed. They did take the boxes that were broken down but never took my blue recycle bin. The 18th was a day for recycling and trash removal. Recycling only picks up every other week. That left me in lurch since now I would have to wait two more weeks to get my recycling bin emptied. I called Dixie Recycling 5 times and left messages for Nathan, the manager, twice. I wasn't worthy of a call back from him or any of his staff. When I called the third time I asked Sonia, the woman that answered the phone, to please take it upon herself to get back with me and let me know what to expect. That never happened either, which honestly didn't surprise me by the tone in her voice.. NOTE: My calls were all polite and professional, but I have to tell you, I'm not happy. I retired and my entire career was customer service. How can they justify this poor service? How can they justify being rude to their customers? The following week 5/25, I put out my trash two cans and no one picked them up. I spoke with a woman at WCSW, who was very nice. She suggested that I call Republic Waste about the trash removal and she would get in touch with Dixie, since I wasn't having any luck getting a call back from anyone including Nathan, the manager. I had left him 2 messages. I did call Republic and left a message and the woman that called me back today was rude, saying her driver told her my cans were not out there Friday. This is a blatant lie because I put them out Thursday evening and I left them there all day Friday and half of Saturday just in case they were running late on Friday and didn't finish their route. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, I put them into my garage Saturday afternoon, pretty late. Honestly, this woman was unbelievably rude. Explain the concept of the customer being right but told her that my cans were out at the curb Thursday night and not brought in until Saturday afternoon. She basically was saying, well her driver said they weren't there. So the customers not right their employees are. I would strongly suggest they take a look at their employee staff because that was simply not true. Good luck anybody. You're expected to pay your bills here, but they don't have to do anything to service you or your home. Very disheartening. I just think this is the most unbelievably poor service I've had anywhere, with anything. Not a very good welcome to the state of Utah. Well it sure took long enough, but I finally got a call back from Nathan and they eventually found me to pick up my recycling.
