The only color they had in store was baby blue, so I agreed to buy a red one from their warehouse, paying upfront. When I picked it up the salesperson (same one who sold it to me), handed me a shopping bag and sent me on my way. I trusted them and didn't look in the bag. Thirty minutes later, a $267 tea kettle is rattling around my trunk. No box, no paperwork, nothing. The salesperson handed me the bag without saying anything!! Any reputable business would let you know the situation, perhaps offer a discount, and give you a choice about whether you still wanted the item. I returned the item and will never be back again. When this business goes down, they will only have their own questionable business practices and poor customer service to blame. (btw, their breakfasts are super oily and disgusting)

Contacted them in December to ask about projected date. No response. Finally got a response after several attempts saying that the were running behind due to a death in the family, but that we were next on the list. Tried to contact them again in Jan. to no avail. Finally, in Feb just decided to go with another company and get my deposit back from them. Driveway has now been in by another company for several weeks. It is now mid-April and my deposit still has not been returned. I now have to go through the effort of filing suit to get my money back.

We hired them on 6/24 and paid a half down deposit for a driveway extension and was told they were 5 weeks out. They were paid immediately, and we waited. 5 weeks came and went, and we started messaging them. They ignored our texts and calls over and over. They finally messaged us back and said the weather was an issue even though, as you all know it has not rained at all. So fine, a delay. We waited again until mid-August, which is now 8 weeks out. We were once again fed a line after we finally got them to respond after days of trying to contact them. They assured us it would be the first week of September. Then that came and went, and we once again spent almost a week trying to get them on the phone. Once we did, they told us they had a death in the family and that they needed the week to get things together and be back on Monday. We respected that and gave them the week and a half, before we started to contact them again. Once again, no answer. We finally sent messages that showed we were going to find someone else. The next day they showed up on Sept 10th and dug the driveway. We had high hopes at that point. The delays took forever, but at least here we are. We were told they would be there the week of the 16th to pour. That never happened. In the meantime, with the digging of the extension, we lost parts of our driveway we could no longer use and caused our parking situation to be even worse. We contacted them on the 23rd after the week they should have poured came and went. We are now at two weeks with a giant hole in our yard. We were told they would be there on the 27th to pour. Now if you remember the hurricane hit on the 26th. So once again a delay because its wet. They then ignored our calls again for over a week. They finally called us back and said they would pour on Oct 1st. The day of the pour they called and said people called in sick and they couldn't now. We are 15 weeks now of the original 5-week lead time. We took off work for the pour only to be cancelled. Not only did we waste vacation time, but we still did not have a driveway. We were at 3 weeks since they dug it up. We had enough at that point and decided to go with another company as other reviews of Jacobs at this point, showed other people were going through the same thing but being bullied by the owner. We called another company, and the driveway was poured the next day. I'm not sure why they treated us this way, but they have. This is only the first half. We told them to work up an estimate for the work they did and send us a refund which I thought was more than generous as we could have sued them for the whole thing. They came back with a refund of 400 dollars which was a joke. We paid 2250 down. They then inflated the estimate by charging us for the free estimate, so they could keep more of our money. We ended up paying the new company way more as Jacobs and son dug the driveway to deep in some areas and it required more concrete than quoted. We pointed this out to them and that how could they charge now for free estimate. They agreed and said we could get back 600 now. We said fine as we were sick and tired of this whole thing and wanted to wipe our hands clean. That was on Oct 14th. We finally received a payment via cash app on Nov 13th after a month of asking where it was. They lied over and over and said the check was in the mail. We finally called and left a message on the 11th that if payment wasn't received by Friday the 15th, we would proceed with a lawsuit. That's the only thing that finally got us out money. I have attached proof so you can see we aren't lying. Stay away from this company at all costs. Maybe in the past they were good, but they are not anymore and then when the job isn't done, they will steal your hard-earned money.
