Once again, Dalton Carpet One did an exceptional job! We had to replace our bamboo flooring in the downstairs master bedroom. We, of course, called Rosemary. She had samples ready for us when we got to the store. We chose an engineered hickory. It is absolutely gorgeous! Claudio is the best installer. We absolutely love him. Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable. We would not choose another company. We used Dalton Carpet One in Athens to install new vinyl flooring throughout our house a few months back. We were happy with the initial outcome, but as I was cleaning one day a few weeks after they did our install, I noticed there were indentations/bubbles on the floors underneath our couch legs. When the installation team had finished the job, they recommended we put felt pads under the legs of our dresser and couch, and they put makeshift ones under the dresser themselves when moving the dresser back, but didn't do the same for the couch and they immediately moved the couch back themselves before leaving. We reached out to Kevin with photos and explaining the issue, and after sending a tech out, we were told by Kevin, very rudely I might add, that the damage was OUR fault and therefore we'd be responsible for the cost of several hundred dollars for them to come out and fix it. After arguing that the installation team was actually the responsible party, he sent out a "second opinion" which ended up just being the same tech, and after explaining the issue again to him, even he admitted it was a miscommunication that fell on the installation team. Yet we were later still told we'd have to pay a little less to have it fixed, but it was still several hundred dollars and the cost fell on us. Needless to say, we will never use their services again. If we do end up having it fixed, it will be through a different company as I don't trust Dalton carpet one and don't want to waste any more of our money on them. Terrible work, terrible communication and terrible customer service. Do not use them. read more

Update: After months and months of fighting with them, they finally came back out to fix the tile and laminate. They did a very good job fixing the tile. However, they did not bring enough new material to fix the laminate so they wound re-installing damaged planks. When I notified them about this they refused to return my calls for 3 weeks and have done nothing to fix the problem in the two months since coming out. What's worse is that they broke my cabinets while pulling the floor up. When they reinstalled the quarter round at the base of the cabinets they did a terrible job. It was a huge inconvenience for them to come out the week before Christmas, move all of my furniture around, ding up the walls, just to wind up with my floors in a similar state and broken cabinets. read more

He didn't answer I left a message he call back a couple days later, finally set up a time to come out and do measurements. Had an appointment to go in 2 days later for pricing. I absolutely LOVE my master bathroom and closet remodel!! Rosemary was the absolutely finest designer we could ever have!! Her personality and style above and beyond what we ever imagined! She made the project FUN for us!! She supervised the whole project and was available at any time to help us or answer any questions we had! Her eye for detail and design is amazing!! All the installers were so professional and did excellent work! The cabinet installer was Robert. The tile installer was Jonathan. Robert and Jonathan were so tidy and perfectionistic and detailed! Starr was great at keeping us up to date on appointments! We took advantage of Dalton's project management! Our builder used Dalton One for our flooring. We had a number of issues with the upstairs subfloor (Dalton was not responsible for the subfloor) on our house which required the carpet to be ripped up a number of times post move-in by Dalton for the builder to correct the issues. This left very visible lines between the hallway and the doorways into the bedrooms. We were told by Mike/JR to give it six or so months and they would go away with time and traffic. They are still there 3 years later. We were told they would fix the issue if it persisted by replacing the carpet in the hallway with the same hardwood that covers our downstairs for what they called half price ($800). This would eliminate all the visible lines between the hallway and bedroom doorways. When we approached them with this after it was apparent the lines weren't going away, they chose not to honor the offer. I guess it was a "take it now" type deal (which wasn't communicated) but we wanted to give it time to see if they would fade. Also, the entire length of the hallway carpet has started to buckle creating several tripping hazards up and down the hallway. This wouldn't be a huge deal if the hallway was enclosed, but one side is open to our 2 story foyer and we have small children and a newborn. So why not 1 or 2 stars? I understand all of my experience isn't on Dalton alone.. The builder is very much a party to this. What irks me is the insistence the visible lines would fade, the reneged offer, and now the buckling hallway carpet. We have had good experiences with Dalton. We've replaced a room with carpet because of flooding and their people were nice and professional. Paul D. has been great. We had a number of "pockets" under our downstairs hardwood and JR extended our warrantee to cover them. Many of the pockets have returned and we have some bounce in a few areas, but I appreciate the extension. read more

We worked with Tiffany Greene to update our master bathroom and were very happy from start to finish. They have a huge tile selection and an amazing showroom. Tiffany was always available to answer questions, made great suggestions we incorporated, and loved the overall design she implemented. Horrible customer service. We had great care in the store and were allowed to take a sample home. (Before taking it home we made sure it wasn't something that would go out of stock. We were ensured it wouldn't be a problem and she even guaranteed the sale price through the end of the month.) Called multiple times to request a quote and could never get her to call us back. After two weeks of leaving messages and against our better judgment (shouldn't have to pull someone's arm to drop thousands of dollars), we requested help through the website. Received an immediate response when we told them we wanted to order a good deal of square footage. Wouldn't you know that the product was discontinued and replaced with something more expensive. Beware! Dalton carpet one sells flooring sealed in the boxes that is damaged and unusable from the factory and then refuses to accept returns on opened boxes of these unusable materials. They call these products B grade but they are really junk and this is deceptive. read more

We had a lot of difficulty with Dalton. First, they had the incorrect information that I felt I had been extremely clear about. So the quote they gave us was not accurate. We come down there to pay after receiving the quote, when I realized they had the wrong information. The new information made it $800 more. Next, I had a very strict timeline to work with. He said it should not be a problem. He also said they wouldn't be able to schedule me exactly until I paid. So I paid. Then, when they tried to get me on the schedule, it turned out they would not be able to have it done in time unless I change my order to something they had in stock. So I changed my order. He said it would be comparable to what I had already agreed to. They worked up a new bill and it was another $500 more. At this point I decided to cancel the whole order. They said it would not be a problem. They refunded me the money, but when I checked my account the next day, it had not actually been refunded. I call down there and they said it would take 4 to 5 business days to actually refunded. But I am on a strict timeline, and the money that I had allotted to pay for floors was now being tied up at Dalton. When I call down there to try to figure something out, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager said there was nothing he could do that my best bet was to just start over with somebody else. They were not interested in helping me to feel better or to have any business with me. It put me in a really bad spot, now I'm going to have to move into a house with all the floors not completed which will make it difficult for my family with three young children. Dalton really made a stressful situation a lot more stressful. read more
