This was our first time going to Southern Vines. We wanted to go out close to home, so we decided to give it a try. My boyfriend loved the salad bar. However our steaks were both pretty tough and lacked seasoning / flavor. However, the Brussels and mashed potatoes were delicious. Our server was also very sweet and attentive. Would give it one more chance.

Ribeye, twice baked "loaded" potato (sour cream in the bowl)

First time, date night. Clean, a full bar, and salad bar greeted us. Ordered a ribeye, twice baked and stuffed potato, with all the fixings. Fresh bread came with a really weird attempt at sweet cinnamon butter. No sweet, and really no cinnamon, just brown swirls in the butter. But the bread was good. Salad bar was well supplied, three greens to choose from, baby spinach, Romain and butter lettuce, all very fresh. Took a while for our steaks, but it was worth the wait. Juicy, flavorful, no gristle, and the potato was the bomb. Pretty plate of food. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

We've lived in Benson for nearly a year and have been wondering when we'd find a decent restaurant- spoiler alert: we found it (it's better than decent LOL) Just off 95, this is a SUPER CUTE spot that has impressive service and great food. We were honestly kinda shocked by just how great it was. Our server, Jarrett, was beyond exceptional. I think finding someone with a true knack for customer experience is a rarity these days, but Jarrett has it. He was present without being overbearing, kind, attentive, funny, personable, and all around lovely. The food was another joy! The salad bar was a little slim (there was a huge party in front of us) but still delicious. The rolls and house made cinnamon butter? Texas Roadhouse who? LORD! So good. My husband and I both got petit filet as our entree and they were perfect. We were so full we didn't even eat our sides (that's tomorrows lunch!) but the potatoes looked amazing. We were thrilled and will make this a go-to, you should too!

Delicious!!! Very relaxing environment and a great waitress! My boyfriend got the steak, and I got the bourbon salmon. We also got the house wine which hit the spot.

Carolina Butcher Shop has horrible customer service and is overpriced. Angier Meat Market has bad cuts and low quality meats. The Butcher Market in Holly Springs is insanely expensive. It's either Costco or here for me. I subscribe to their text messages for specials and every week they change but they always have something that's a good deal. This past week they had Dino ribs for $4.99/lbs. They are usually $9.99/lbs and this is one of the only shops I can actually find real plate ribs and not beef back ribs which are way thinner. They also had tomahawk ribeyes on sale for $12.99/lbs. For reference Carolina Butcher shop had them on sale for $19.99/lbs and Costco was $16.99/lbs...so a great deal. There is a bell by the back that you can ring and ask for help with a cut or if they have more inventory of a specific item. They often have great deals on marinated wings usually $0.99/lbs. The selection of BBQ rubs and sauces is unmatched in this area. For example, they have most of the Meat Church rubs for $10.99/lbs and the others might have a couple and charge $14-15 for a bottle. And the selection is crazy...they probably have 70-100 different BBQ rubs on the shelf....it's just insane. Service is always great, the staff is really friendly and kind, just what you'd expect from a ma and pa community store. It is pretty small and gets crowded quickly but the lines move fast.

Lee's Fresh Market is the real deal. Check them out!!

The salad bar had a great selection of veggies that looked very fresh, and I appreciated the house made croutons. The complimentary bread rolls were served warm and they were fantastic! Loved they tasted like a sweet yeast roll. The prime rib piece we received was part of the end and had a nice portion of cap, which is my favorite part of a ribeye. The seasoning was perfect and I didn't even have to salt the meat it was so tasty. The twice baked potato was delicious too! Our server Michelle was wonderful! She made our meal extra special and was so attentive! We plan on going back again and trying some of the weekly specials!

We celebrated a special occasion on a Friday evening and were pleased. The hostess started things out very positively by going above and beyond to seat us in a booth. She checked in a couple of times during our meal to insure that we were having a great experience. It was much appreciated. The salad bar doesn't have a huge selection of ingredients, but it is very fresh and kept well stocked. It was the quintessential steak house salad bar. Skip the dinner rolls; they tasted like something from the grocery store bakery and weren't very good. We both tried the Wagyu ribeye. It was very nice: cooked exactly as ordered with a nice sear on the outside. The steak was very flavorful and tender as Wagyu should be. It was excellent and a very reasonable value for $69. The accompanying salt-rubbed baked potato was excellent as well. The restaurant offered two dessert choices: a flight of cheese cake samples or a chocolate cake. We chose the chocolate cake and received a mammoth slab of cake covered in white icing. It was good but nothing exceptional. I wish there had been at least one additional dessert choice to choose from. Service for the rest of our meal was fine. Our drinks ran dry but were eventually refilled. The kitchen did a good job serving our meals at just the right time. The restaurant is attractively decorated inside, but it can't hide its heritage as a prefab metal building. There's a thrift store next door which creates a dichotomy for a restaurant serving $69 steaks. We will return to Harvey Johns Steakhouse the next time we're in the mood for a steak.

Fresh and lots of items. I got myself a small salad to start and went back to the table to eat it. Server came around and I asked for another plate and he told me that my steak only included one trip. I didn't see on the menu in the tiny print that it was just one trip. Every steakhouse I've been to that has a salad bar has unlimited trips. Had I known, I wouldn't have wasted my trip on a tiny side salad. I put part of the blame here on the server as well. Service was slow and it wasn't busy. I should also mention that everyone ahead of me at the salad bar has never been to a salad bar before and didn't understand how it worked and that it moved in one direction... I got a ribeye rare and it was mostly rare. It didn't really have much flavor, not sure what type of grill they use but there wasn't any special seasonings or anything to make it stand out, no woody smoke flavor or anything. My side was kind of plain and a disappointment. I had planned on leaning on the salad bar when I ordered it. Dessert was pretty good though. I'd honestly get a steak down the street at Cracker Barrel over this place...1/3 of the cost and you're not gonna leave hungry like I did here.
