The food for the price was SEVERELY underwhelming! The location in Dunn was clean and comfortable. Service from Dejah was superb and attentive, but the 20 oz bone in ribeye I ordered medium rare was initially overcooked. And took over 30 minutes arrive at the table. After sending it back the next one that came out another 18 mins later was cooked good enough, but was very under seasoned and looked like it had not rested yet. Our family ate at Sagebrush for dinner and had a great experience all around! From the soft, fresh dinner rolls, and tasty fried pickles, to the main courses and the service, everything was good! The butter seems like higher quality than most restaurants- with a rich yellow color and good flavor and texture. The food came out fairly quickly and everything was tasty. I got the lemon salmon with broccoli and a loaded sweet potato, and they were all tasty. The lemon sauce was also nice on the broccoli! My fiancé got the filet mignon with green beans and a baked potato, all of which were good. The steak was perfectly cooked and had a beautiful crust! The Marshall Dillon steak was good- it was an interesting change of pace. The side salad was also good- and their ranch and bleu cheese are tasty; both are house made! I also appreciate that they give you dinner mints! The price was very reasonable- cheaper than most steak houses. The ambiance is casual, with the feel of a country bar and restaurant. We don't usually eat at chains, but where we were staying, we didn't have much choice. I'm glad we chose this one though! First, our server, Skila was amazing! The entire staff was great. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our salads were super fresh and the perfect size for side salads. My blue cheese dressing was yummy. Hubby's Caesar was also well done. All dressings were on the side, which is especially smart on a Caesar, as a lot of places tend to over dress them. Hubby ordered the signature ribeye, cooked rare, while I had the 6oz filet, mid rare. Losing a star here, as both steaks were cooked well in the middle, but the ends were way over. Assuming they cook on open flame grills and it was running hot? The sides were excellent. This was one of the best loaded baked potatoes I've ever gotten! No need to ask for extra anything and so fluffy! That was a nice surprise, because most places (even the pricey steakhouses) tend to treat sides as an afterthought. Came today for the first time while working in the area. Was seated right away around 11:10. I sat in the bar area. My waitress was really nice and brought me warm rolls with butter. While wditing for my grilled chicken Caesar salad. Chicken was seasoned perfectly and the salad was big! Except for a few brown pieces it was really yummy. Even though it is right next to a large hotel it seemed most people were local and knew each other so we had high hopes the food would be good. The rolls were soft and hot with real whipped butter. We had such an amazing experience at Sagebrush thanks to our server, Ashante. She was absolutely phenomenal! From the very beginning, I even told my husband what a fantastic waitress she was--before we found out it was actually her first day on the floor after training. I was shocked, because she carried herself like a seasoned pro. Ashante handled multiple tables with ease, kept our drinks filled, double-checked our order, and even took a moment to play with our baby boy, which made the experience that much more special. It wasn't busy so I was seated right away and thankfully it wasn't too noisy. I did feel a little rushed to order as I wanted time to look over the menu so I sensed some frustration that I wasn't ready to order. I waited until I decided to order. I went with the filet mignon, broccoli and sweet potato. A basket of rolls was brought out as well. The filet was mostly good but there was a little grizzle that should have been cut off. We were staying at a nearby hotel. An easy walk across the parking lot made this a great place in the evening for dinner and drinks! As you enter, there is a small lobby with a hostess station. There are some benches for seating if you have to wait for a table. To the left is a doorway that goes to the bar with several booths and a couple high tops. The bar and bar area are open seating. The menu has a nice variety of options. The rolls are the best! The house salad was always fresh and included cheese and croutons. We ate there quite a few nights. We tried several different entrees. Burgers, steaks, baked potatoes, quesadillas, ribs, and skillets were all good. I think my favorites were the Taste of Texas and the Texas Iron Skillet. They both had a combination of beef, chicken, ribs, and/or shrimp. Very satisfying. Service was good. The staff was pleasant. Service was sometimes a bit slow, but usually because they had a good crowd. It's definitely a favorite with the locals. We enjoyed our time in Dunn. Hope to visit again! read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time Saturday June 20, and I can promise you that it will be my last time. Our first waitress was so inattentive and rude that I politely asked for a different person. The second waitress was amazing, and the food was actually very good. However; I noticed that we and other customers were swatting flies. Then I noticed the ceiling tiles and the AC vents in the ceiling were filthy; as in disgusting. Well; it gets worse; while we were eating, I suddenly smelled aerosol bug spray, very strong. The manager said that they were having problems with flies and that under the advisement of a professional they were spraying several times a day. This is absolutely not true; it is strongly against FDA guidelines for an employee to release pesticides at all; it must be only by a professional and never, ever with patrons in the building during business hours. Aerosol pesticides are a strong contaminate to equipment, food and utensils. They also are very, very dangerous to humans. Also; the restaurant in general looked like it really needs a good cleaning. The glass was really dirty and overall looks dingy. In looking back, we should have left but we were being treated to lunch and really didn't realize until the end how bad it would be. In truth; if what I witnessed is only part of the problem, I'm concerned about what I couldn't see. Until they get this gutted and cleaned; proceed with caution. read more

I was so excited to find one of these. When I was in school we ate weekly at one local to us. So when we were out and found this one we had to stop for lunch. After living on Dunn for 2 years my boyfriend and I finally decided to give this place a try. We both had a burger. Mine was the steakhouse burger and OMG it was delicious. The fries were over cooked. I asked for ranch for my fries and never received them. My boyfriend had the Jack Daniel's Whiskey burger. He said it was one of the best burgers he's had in a long time. We did have a minor issue with another table being extremely drunk, rowdy and saying inappropriate things while other diners with children were trying to enjoy their meal. First one came out well done sent it back next one came out chard and well to medium well done. At this point I just ate it as I wasn't going to wait for it to be prepared for the second time.
