The scent selection is endless in the best way. Start to finish took about 30 minutes, but the candle needs a few hours to set, so plan ahead if you don't want to come back later to pick it up. It may feel a bit pricey, but the experience and custom candle make it worth it. I went on a Monday afternoon and it felt cozy and almost private. It is in the chef's house, so don't be alarmed when the maps takes you to a neighborhood. I got this for my boyfriend for a birthday gift and he loved it. There were 6 people in the class, he has a beautiful home with so much space. The spots are nicely setup with everything you need. He teaches you to make sushi from scratch and helps you every step of the way. He is very detailed and will answer any questions you have as well as make sure you are doing everything correctly so no one gets frustrated. You can bring your own drinks, he provides wine glasses and water. The price is absolutely worth it, you make so many rolls of sushi that you eat while you cook and also get to take so much home with you, you will have sushi for days! First time visitor and we had bought our tickets on Groupon, for a 2 hour visit for 4 people…read more Check in was easy and we had to sign waivers. The lobby area is very inviting, with couches and games to play as well as a bar. They escorted us to our lane and Brooke gave us instructions on how to hold and throw the axes as well as safety instructions. Once she left us, they turned the music up so loud we couldn't even hear each other. Since we were the only ones there, we asked them to turn it off and they did. We had fun throwing the axes. They had a sheet of games there, but never showed us how to play them. 2 hours is a long time for 4 seniors. Lol. After about a half hour, they put a group of men in the stall next to us and they were so loud, we could barely talk amongst ourselves. They put the music back on, which I understand. There are 2 rooms, so I am not sure why they couldn't have put that group in the other room so it wouldn't have been as noisy. It was the middle of the afternoon on a weekday so it wasn't busy. I have been to other axe throwing places in other cities, and they didn't have fencing in between, but wooden sides and I liked it much better, as you weren't distracted by other people throwing.

The shop itself is an adorable little gem, very comfortable, not overwhelming. Josie was amazing at explaining the process and was helpful throughout when we had questions (yes, even "dumb" ones). The Studio features simple, yet aesthetically pleasing pieces to choose from with a wonderful array of paints to choose from. THERE IS A DESIGN CENTER! This means you can choose from stencils of all sizes and patterns, stamp type devices to imprint designs, and best of all....a computer to search images that the studio will then image and re-size for you on the spot to have a custom stencil for your creation! I've tried painting my own wine glass, blah blah...hideous, but really I was in it for the experience. This studio raised the bar so much for me! I can make my own pieces that I will use on a daily basis that I just love... Headed back in a few weeks, I'm hooked! Who knew that this artless girl could be so...artsy?
