For a few hours our patio was fully transformed to a live GSN studio... so we could experience being on several of our favorite shows! Working with Jim has been HORRIBLE!!!!! He cannot take advice or even follow simple procedures. After many months of working with Jim Casey I got frustrated beyond belief. I had to tell him to deal with someone else at my company AND HE REFUSED!! He is NOT a team player, doesn't listen to instructions, has a poor attitude, and he has a strong desire to create issues where there are none. This is after working with him in preparation for numerous events. He has gone to the extent of sending me hateful emails and text messages. read more

Jim did an awesome job with the entertainment portion of our event! We had about 100 people at an appreciation dinner for our church volunteers and he did a Family Fued style game. It was a lot of fun. About 40 of us actually got to go up and play, but he did a great job engaging with the crowd so everyone participated and had a good time. I would definitely recommend him for event entertainment. read more

Fun, but needs rules. Constantly some of the same teams sit together and share answers(it's just a coincidence that they're top 3 or 4 bunched up in points when they're together and get crushed when they're alone). We even had one member of one of the teams sit at our table one night when none of his friends or teammates were there and he just copied all of our answers. It really makes it less fun when someone cheats. If it was just playing for fun, it would be one thing, but there's money involved, so teams shouldn't be allowed to sit together if they're playing for the money. Jim is a good host and it's professionally put together and we really have a lot of fun. I just think the cheating ruins the competition aspect for me. There's probably no real way to enforce it, but Jim could definitely say that we encourage teams to sit at different tables. Other than that, all positive stuff from the GST crews. read more

I see no mention of the "Smarties bonus". It's a really great part of the game where they single out the worst team of the evening & give them a special reward for sucking at trivia. All the regulars get to have good laugh amongst themselves at the expense of the "dumbass" that happened to come in last. It's a really great motivator to get new players to participate. /s Aside from the exclusionary nature of the game, the host has a reputation among the employees of his venues for being a pompous jerk. He & I have had several encounters that have ranged from him simply being extremely rude all the way to physical threats. After he called me a "snowflake" & offered to "flatten" me in the middle of a crowded bar & I didn't back down, he actually dialed 911. Even though he has 100 lbs and 8 inches on me, he tried to say that I was the aggressor & making threats. He went as far as telling the ownership that I literally threatened to shoot him. All of this is completely absurd & manufactured to distract from the fact that Mr Casey is an incredibly unprofessional businessman. After posting a review on a different site, he had one of his regulars try to bully me into removing my comments. When that failed, he quietly disabled the reviews on that particular profile all together. It would seem the 8-10 glowing reviews weren't as important to him as the single 1 star review. Why would that be? IMHO it's just more evidence of this business' dishonest & unpleasant nature. As far as the game itself is concerned, the smartphone app is sketchy @ best. The questions are often purposely worded in a way meant to confuse the player & once you even touch the answer screen you are locked in, regardless of any mistake or inadvertent fat finger, you just take the hit. After a particular round if you don't have enough points, you're done for the evening & get to listen to the regulars finish their game. Then if you're really lucky they move onto an impossible "money round" where even less ppl get to play while one of the regular squad of 5-6 ppl gets to hold the entire bar hostage as they fail to win the elusive "grand prize". This is by far the worst bar trivia game ever devised. No one deserves to be ridiculed while they are simply trying to have a pleasant evening with their family. People want to have fun when they play pub games. If making other ppl feel bad about their inferior intellect is your idea of a good time, Mr Jim Casey & his "revolutionary" business model is meant just for you. I have physical evidence of any & all claims made here by myself & would be happy to share with anyone skeptical of what I've said. Unlike Mr Casey, I am more than capable & willing to defend my statements as every claim made in this post is the god's honest truth. I have nothing to hide. read more

This is one of the more entertaining trivia nights out there. The guy that's the host is a bit out there. Questions are not too terribly hard until you get to his bonus game. That's a challenge. I've not done well in that, but still had a good time. read more

This is the best trivia show by far & we have played pub trivia all over the world, no old fashioned pen & paper, game show trivolution uses a speed quiz app on both iPhone & Android , easy to use, scores are known quickly, it's great, the host Jim Casey is well organized, friendly & fun , he really is a super pro, all the locations we have attended like Jamaica Breeze in Bradenton, Applebee's in Ellenton & Wolveshead Pizza in Lakewood Ranch are great hosts, good food, fun friendly competition & lots of fun, this is a great evening out read more

Thanks to technology and the wizardly wise presence of host Jim Casey, Game Show Trivolution is a fun, fast-paced and diverse trivia challenge that gives teams plenty of opportunity to show off their smarts. A "big money" prize is dangled before participants, the proverbial carrot to drive smartypants and would-be brainiacs through five rounds of questions (including a musical category) in hopes of snaring both bragging rights and a gift card. If trivia's your thing, this is most certainly the best (and most exciting) game in town. read more

I don't generally relish the bar-restaurant scene, but tried trivia at Wolves Head in Lakewood Ranch a few months ago and had such a blast I've been back almost every Wednesday night! I'm slightly confused at some of the less favorable reviews, maybe those involve something personal, but Jim Casey is one of the primary reasons I return. Hosting any genre of entertainment is much more difficult than anyone really comprehends but Jim is clever, funny and engaging. The only potential I see for some of the issues mentioned would be sucking at trivia. You don't make the final couple of rounds if you suck, just like say Wimbledon or the Masters. This isn't like soccer at the Y where the ninth place team still gets a trophy. The concept seems unique and is user friendly. The variety of questions keeps it interesting as some are T/F, multiple choice, picking a letter (from the screen on your I-Phone/Pad or one he provides) or pictures. I actually look forward to this as an escape from my hectic weekly schedule. read more
