The staff were very nice, the animals on the property were so sweet to see (donkey, cows, goats, sheep, ducks and chickens). Side note: the town of Shamrock is a close drive with a couple historical buildings. It's small and of course older but worth checking out. There is very good steakhouse in town called the Metropole worth eating at as well. Recommended for your rv stop over needs.

I'd much prefer a Fairfield, but there are no Fairfield's or Holiday Inns in Silverton less than an hour away. Therefore, when we visit our kids in Silverton, we are happy to pay $100 for a bedroom that doesn't require one of our grandchildren to sleep on the couch. I am grateful that these cabins now exist. They weren't here when our kids first moved to Silverton. The owners are friendly and helpful. We will be staying here on future trips to Silverton. It appears Silver Wind's main business is their RV Park. That is a valuable asset to the community whether their customers are Wind employees, Silverton citizens living in motor homes, or travelers passing through or visiting family in Silverton. Everyone is friendly, people are respectful follow their few but necessary park rules and it's a convenient lil town with food options and still only 23 miles to Amarillo. The only review on here I thought was disappointing in my opinion bc they didn't even give the owners the opportunity to rectify the situation. I can't stand seeing that so I posted the truth! It's a lovely lil park and we are very happy we found it!! PS. If you have a dog most campers know to clean up after them and keep your pet leashed. It's quite simple lol.

They are constantly walking through other peoples rented spaces day and night, not peaceful camping when your dog is constantly barking in your rv letting you know people are in the "rented space" like it's their yard too, Full timers let their dogs run free ALL the time to URINATE on everyone's camping stuff,(bbqs, chairs,hoses, landing legs,tires on trailer and vehicles, other peoples personal pet enclosures ) This is more work (now cleaning all dog urine off of everything) when getting packed up to leave .- Full timers find this amusing. The owners were very nice and accommodating, but the full timers running the "park" ruin this place. If rules are written for the RV PARK- EVERYONE should be expected to follow them. No exceptions!!!
