Unfortunately, the bar service left a lot to be desired. The area was packed, and they only had two bartenders who were a bit slow, especially considering the crowd size. Even though a manager eventually jumped in to help, the line was still taking up to 30 minutes. We actually wanted to buy more drinks, but the wait just wasn't worth it. The frozen drinks are incredibly refreshing on a hot day, but the slow service definitely made them harder to enjoy. I am hoping this improves as this was one of the reasons to get a season pass.

They do have plenty of bar seating and benches inside and around the pool to sit down as well. They do not offer food so you will need to go outside the pool Bar area to purchase some food. They have everything from beers, seltzers, frozen cocktails, and canned wine. Definitely something fun to do on a summer weekend. After, you can always walk the theme park and enjoy some rides afterwards. Love it! They do offer cabanas as well and they offer food if you rent a cabana. This is located immediately to your right when you enter through the Waterpark entrance.

We did 7 miles on and thru the trails along the river. We started at the river park entrance off the industrial highway (I'm not good with directions) and ended at the River Walk by the Pump House before turning around. It was a great workout with some hills but the views were the Star. Old bridges, big metal bridges, swings on the river banks and wooden trails thru the woods' this place is a gem. The sign indicates that the park closed November 4 and is estimated to be complete in late Spring 2020. Users of the Piedmont Medical Center Trail at 100 Celriver Road can still access the trail. The main play area is padded and it's a really great park for toddlers, babies and maybe the 10 and under crowd. Older kids might be a little bored since the play equipment was pretty basic, but again, great for young kids. There are benches, some swings and a small slide. There are six large campsites with fire rings and grills, but there were other camping areas as well. We had enough people for this weekend of camping (about 200) that we rented the entire island. OMG! It was such a nice venue. There is a pavilion with an enclosed area for preparing food with kitchen, sinks, etc., along with many (I didn't count!) picnic tables on the cement slab under the covered area for serving dinner and for gatherings. There are also four actual large bathrooms which I wasn't expecting. We rented addtnl port-o-potties but we really didn't need them. Better safe than sorry! We had a DJ setup under the shelter and it became a stage with spectator area at night for entertainment. There is a nice sand volleyball court next to the pavilion if the island and lake don't offer enough entertainment and exercise. Don't miss out on the floating dock that goes out into the lake. We brought floats and hung out there during the day. There are two large parking areas at the head of the island, but plan to walk alot and carry your stuff a good distance. Beautiful spot for a picnic or family gathering. If it's like SC parks, you can probably get a yearly pass. It would be worth it if you live in the area. Only 10 minutes away from Fort Mill/Rock Hill too.

I've been to this park many times over the recent years but this evening was special because my Grand was performing in the town Christmas show Choir after the Tree Lighting. The Town did such a great job adding the 2,400 square foot Amphitheater, it's a great design and a needed addition to the growing Town of Fort Mill. It's a town tradition along with the parade. They close down main street making it walkable for all the local business'. We're living in the 'post-COVID' world and it feels so good to see all the residents and hundreds of families out celebrating the season and just being together. There was so much laughter, so many smiles and it was clear to me we as a community, a town and a nation are feeling happier and more optimistic.

I lucked up on a parking space right off the green but this place definitely needs more dedicated parking. The amphitheater is nicely located at one end of the green and away from the playground. This allowed ppl to setup their chairs and tents by the stage and families to be closer to the park area so their kids could play. The addition of bathrooms is super nice and the accommodations are great. This event included food trucks and a beer tent. You had to purchase tickets to buy beer but the ticket tent was right next to the beer tent. Can't wait for the next concert and to hopefully entice the family to come out too.

I love the aquatics center in Rock Hill! Both of my children have taken swim lessons here, and will…read moredo so again. The facility is over 40,000 square feet and houses one ten-lane cold-water pool and one eight-lane warm-water pool. There is a meeting room and locker rooms. I like the room the aquatics center has made for viewing. There are aluminum bleachers near the heated pool where kids take swim lessons and the "Arthritis Aquatics" classes are taught (this pool is handicapped accessible too). There are also some nice permanent bleachers at the end of the ten-lane pool. The aquatics center has a swim team called the Rays and hosts many a swim meet. Swim lessons, Arthritis Aquatics, Aquatic Aerobics and open swimming are the main components of "what to do" at the aquatics center. You'll need a membership to the YMCA in the area. The facility is topnotch and the parking is plentiful, except during swim meets.
