We took…read morethe long walk to imaging and tried to check in and were told we need to go back to surgery check and wait. This hospital is old not in the antiseptic state a hospital should be in. The only saving grace is the Dr that performed the surgery. He was so kind, patient and informative when explaining how the surgery went and what to expect during recovery. The patients room are not very clean. The photo shows the keyboard, for documentation, next to my mother's bed. Get it together Miami Valley!!

so uh i was admitted to psych not too long ago. ER docs said i was hallucinating and a drug addict…read more I was neither actually. They intentionally induced withdrawal of my adhd meds because they "made me anxious" even though the main reason i was prescribed them, over a decade ago, was to control my involuntary emotional outbursts. which were, of course, being made worse by my current circumstances. and they threatened to move me to the "high risk" side because i was complaining. should also mention that my family came to visit and brought over some supplies. they didn't screen the bag and so i had hangers and drawstrings in my room. idk what would have happened if my roommate got ahold of them or another patient. they did eventually confiscate stuff... eventually. we also weren't given hand soap?? we don't get control of water temp so i couldn't wash my hair. they also had like code drills in the middle of the night? and the clocks weren't right so it was lovely to never rlly be sure of what time it was. i woke up at 4 AM and wandered into the lobby just because i had no idea if it was an appropriate time to be awake or not, anyway there was no therapy whatsoever, there were groups but they never started on time and got cancelled often. and then we would always get blamed for inadequate participation. when i went back a while later to complain i was sent on a wild goose chase. lots of "oh go to patient standards" "patient standards hasn't been open for six months" "go talk to the doctor who provided care" "i didn't know we even had a psych unit" everyone is correct about nurses NEVER wanting to answer the call light. you had to go up to the nurses station. also i complained about their tape irritating my excema and only the night nurse managed to be able to do anything about this very common and treatable skin condition. additionally, i have bradycardia. the doctor tried putting me on a medication to lower my blood pressure (instead of, yk, literally any other anti-anxiety medication) and the nurse had to tell him that they were continually monitoring my heart rate so lowering it further was a bad idea. imagine what may have happened had my nurse not been walking by at that exact time. anyway yeah don't go here if you need anything more intensive than a bandaid. you'd have better luck seeing a middle school nurse for whatever ails you.

They hooked me up with monitors and IVs. My comfort was top priority and concern. My nurses / assistants .... All the staff was an excellent crew. Imagine if you will, your family member just took a prescription pill and is going into Anaphylaxis, you rush them to the ER, they go inside, you follow after parking your vehicle, but theres no one in the ER, no staff, no security, no patients, just you standing in an empty and locked up ER, they leave you there frantic and worried for around 10 minutes (people can die of Anaphylaxis in seconds, let alone 10 minutes), but when you finally find someone you better be cheerful when you ask why the ER desk has been unmanned, because when the nurse tells you to calm down, and that they weren't at the desk because they were checking your spouse in for treatment, you shouldn't tell them that they're just making excuses, you should kiss their ass and keep that smile up or have security called, because this hospital is the same as the rest, they insulate themselves from reprimand, and you'll get no resolution from reporting them. Oh, and their security likes to put their hands on people when they're leaving (like in my case), you can have your back turned to the incompetent staff, walking out the doors, and you'll probably get pushed from behind like i was.

Both OBGYNs…read morefrom my practice that I am a patient at said it was totally fine and they would allow me to be released. My pediatrician does not do visits at this hospital so I was stuck with whatever pediatrician was on site at this hospital when I asked for an early release and told them I would sign whatever paperwork necessary to leave. I was greeted by CPS and harassed by the on-call pediatrician who proceeded to threaten me even though myself, and my child were healthy and ready to go. This is an absolute awful hospital. I do not recommend you being here if you can avoid it. I had a lovely experience at the South location. However, that one is been shut down because they wanted to funnel everyone to this specific location. The rooms were small and dirty. Mine had no working AC. The showers are so small that you don't have any elbow room to move literally had to spin in a circle to get the water all over my body and the water pressure was down to a trickle. You feel like you're in a prison. The TV is awful. The lights feel like an operating room. You can't get them low enough to feel relaxed. Oh and did I forget to mention after being in labor for over 24hrs and then accepting an epidural the anesthesiologist put my epidural in wrong and I now have to seek medical treatment in hopes that I can heal from that it's been over a year and it still hurts. Had to have a different phlebotomist come in to attempt a second attempt at a epidural while an active labor. The beds are broken, lumpy and uncomfortable, and they couldn't figure out why I wanted to go home. I felt forced to stay here because of the threats and intimidation tactics that they pulled and stayed till literally the last minute I was required to stay. I then told them I would be following up with my pediatrician within 12 hours for my child and I left. DO NOT GO HERE ALONE. Make sure that you have a family member or spouse there with you at all times. I also recently had to take my father to this location because he had a stone from his kidneys that was 8 mm and was supposed to be removed but because it was Super Bowl Sunday, nobody gave a crap and my father sat in the hospital overnight in excruciating pain, and was supposed to be on the schedule for surgery at noon the following day. The neurologist decided that it's the last hour. He was going to cancel the surgery that my father needed and told him that he didn't felt it was necessary and he should try to let the Stone break up naturally. My father had requested that he'd be released and just like my experience with this hospital. They refused to let him go and were holding him hostage. People were coming into harass him told him he couldn't leave. He said he would sign paperwork, but he was leaving and it was a legit argument with staff and doctors. I don't know what is wrong with this hospital or this facility they don't care about you. It seems that they only care about how much money they can get out of your insurance by making you stay longer. If you need a hospital check out Kettering hospitals or somewhere else in your network. Do not go here. I believe they don't care based on the lack of care this place gives about its patience and the awful conditions that this place leaves their patients in good luck

I was in a lot of pain because my SCS wasn't working right. They gave me a shot that should last until my surgery, or close to it. The dosage was increased, but I didn't have to pay a dime. Isn't that amazing? It saved me so much money on prescription copays! Plus, they were just as excited as I was to get my malfunctioning SCS replaced with the new one. I'm praying success for everyone who cared for me, both medical and administrative. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, I felt like I was part of a family.

I would not send my dead dog here. Er refused proper communication accomodations to my mother,…read moretried to 1940's asylum her for advocating for her legal ADA needs, wit held tests and care under this excuse, the doctor instructed the nurse to hang up on me as soon as they could after she called me to help advocate for her, after they violated their own patient rights listed on their website. She tried to contact the patient advocate multiple times outside of asking the er because the er wouldn't follow the hospitals patient advocate protocols, and the hospital kept routing it back to the er. Her blood pressure and cardiac symptoms were stroke/heart attack levels but they did not do any proper tests or medical interventions though her vitals continued to get worse while they continued to refuse to use any reasonable communication accommodations. If she had not been able to reach me she might have stroked out in the er, who wanted to cut that communication with me because they didn't like me making it clear they needed to communicate directly with her. She was ultimately hospitalized for 24 hours, receiving necessary fluids (that she did not receive in the ER) and some other things that helped stabilize her. The floor was deeply understaffed and while she said the nurses were nice some of the aids were marking they had done hygiene cleaning/checks they had not, marked she could walk to the bathroom without assistance no problem when she did have problems and nearly fell over and also was not strong enough to open the door to get out at times. The wait time from when she rang for help for the bathroom and when she got it was so long she thought she would either have accidents in the bed or felt she had no option to try herself, she was a fall risk. No one told her why she was hospitalized or what floor she was on until she was on the cardiac floor, and it wasn't well into her hospitalization that results were explained to her at her repeatedly asking, after she got communication accomodations. In many ways the staff post ER were very nice but maybe 70% were pretty terrible to her about the accommodations, often blaming her for poor interactions when she insisted on proper accommodations. The hostility of the staff could have been reduced a lot had the hospital provided an in person interpreter, but the hospital refused. She was also released too soon, she was clearly not strong enough to come home, but she didn't argue because she felt very unsafe in that hospital, given that at one point a nurse almost gave her another patients injectable morphine (which she is allergic to) and turned away the psych professional that ultimately said there was absolutely no problem that the er doc claimed there was because the nurse told them there was no patient by that name in the room. It was a medical error, unlike the ER, who was deliberately saying false things, the floor was just so understaffed and fatigued the woman had scanned the other patients bracelet and never logged out. (Grandview is a room mate situation, not single rooms) I looked at the medical records afterwards, that we had to get official copies of because the er doctor walled some of them off from mychart; the doctor falsified them. I want to give credit to the good parts (the imaging people were amazing), but over all, I wouldn't even send my neighbors dead pit who was attacking cats there. Go there to die after being treated with humiliation. Go somewhere else to live.

After so-so service in several facilities in the Springfield area, we decided to make the trip to this location when Mr. M&P needed a "once over" and his doctor wouldn't be available until later in the week. (DON'T get me started on doctors whose "on hold" message is how "ready and able" they are to see you at a "moment's notice!!" I understand they're busy, and would be better off just saying a polite version of "we'll get to you when we get to you...") There are (as far as I know) no larger hospital facilities bet. Springfield and Dayton, and this facility attempts to fill the bill, offering emergency, urgent care, and standard doctor office space in one convenient setting. On the Urgent Care side, there is a receiving area by the entrance (sort of a "triage") where they take your name. After a short wait, they call you in to the inner part of the facility, where you give your insurance info, etc., and wait a bit longer to see a doctor. I can imagine this place can get VERY busy, and we've had some pretty long waits in the past (FLU season!!) but I think we got lucky and/or the process has been streamlined and we did not have too long a wait on a Monday afternoon. For added convenience, there is an on-site pharmacy which filled several prescriptions for my poor Mr. M&P in record time!! I had to ding one star, because although their hours are probably the best in the area, they are somewhat limited on weekends/holidays. If you're in the area, and feel like crap, this place might be just what the doctor ordered!!
