My husband drove me to the Greene Memorial Thursday evening about 9 pm. I was greeted and checked before my husband got back to me from parking the car. Within minutes I was taken back and placed in a room. The very knowledgeable, attentive Er nurse continued to reassure my husband and I that we would get the bottom of my issues. After preliminary testing completed it was decided to admit and place me in room on second floor. Once again I was greeted with a fully capable and knowledgable staff. They hooked me up with monitors and IVs. My comfort was top priority and concern. My nurses / assistants .... All the staff was an excellent crew. All very polite pleasant and very supportive to each other. Very informative and helpful to me. Wonderful lady doing the cooking! I never had the cook come in to ask about the food! Or if she could get me anything! Even the cleaning lady ask if I needed anything! Folks it does not get any better than this! I live in Washington c.h. 35 miles from Xenia 22 miles from Wilmington and 5 miles from Fayette Memorial. My Primary Dr. Is Dr. Sharett in Jamestown. My oncologist is Dr. O with Soin in Beaver Creek. I'll crawl to Xenia Kettering Greene Memorial for the level of care and compassion they provide! I only wish I could name each and everyone. Feel free to look up the names for me!!!! Don't go to this ER if theres an emergency, if you do go don't get upset at the staff when they preform poorly, you'll probably get security called on you like i did. Imagine if you will, your family member just took a prescription pill and is going into Anaphylaxis, you rush them to the ER, they go inside, you follow after parking your vehicle, but theres no one in the ER, no staff, no security, no patients, just you standing in an empty and locked up ER, they leave you there frantic and worried for around 10 minutes (people can die of Anaphylaxis in seconds, let alone 10 minutes), but when you finally find someone you better be cheerful when you ask why the ER desk has been unmanned, because when the nurse tells you to calm down, and that they weren't at the desk because they were checking your spouse in for treatment, you shouldn't tell them that they're just making excuses, you should kiss their ass and keep that smile up or have security called, because this hospital is the same as the rest, they insulate themselves from reprimand, and you'll get no resolution from reporting them. Oh, and their security likes to put their hands on people when they're leaving (like in my case), you can have your back turned to the incompetent staff, walking out the doors, and you'll probably get pushed from behind like i was. read more

I had a recent ER and inpatient visit to Greene Memorial. The ER and unit staff were all caring and attentive to my needs. The hospital may be small but the care is grand. The food was good, and they kept the room very, very clean. read more

I went to ER for numbing and tingling on my right side face and blurred vision. They discovered I had a mini stroke. They took super care of me. Treated me very well. When I was at Green Memorial Hospital the last 2 days I was there I was treated very badly . I was not on a medical floor I was put in a chair in an office with a woman and every time I moved she said oh you can't get up and she was very mean about it and rude . When she was on break I was moved to another office with another woman who is just as rude as the first woman . Nobody offered me anything to drink and I was still a little bit confused so I could not ask for something to drink . It got so bad that stuff built up on my dentures while I was there . I would not consider this good care at all . I was told that I was being transferred to a better Hospital and I was transferred to soin Medical Center where I received much better care much better . I was paid attention to I was cared for and I was treated like a queen . I wish green would close down it's down to a skeleton staff anyway . I thought I was transferred because my family called and wanted me transferred and they did . But the official reason given was that green did not have the staff to sit with me like they should have . Thank the good Lord for soin Medical Center. read more

My husband was rushed by squad to Greene Memorial. The EMT's were quick to assess his condition and take him to the hospital. Once he was there a team was working on him immediately. He was treated very quickly, and very professionally. All of the team members were so friendly and caring. The staff at Greene Memorial are personable and professional and do they jobs with pride. Thanks to the care I received, I was able to find out not only what was wrong, but how to take care of the problem so i could get better. The nurses and staff are kind and caring, and i have never felt like i was a burden to the team on the unit. I was born here in 1975. I worked here in the 1990's. Family has worked here also and retired from here. It is now part of Kettering Health Network. I won't lie, My family has experienced quit a few bad moments here but also some great ones. I've learned in order to move foward I must forgive. GREENE Memorial is a great hospital. Saving lives isn't an easy job. Being in the medical field isn't either. There isn't much room for error. But error is human. Sometimes it just seems they happen a little more frequently to us thsn some. But that's all perspective. A hospital or ANY business, organization, or community is only as good as the people that work for or run the should. Meaning the workers. The doers. The helpers. Just trying to make it. Treat your employees well. Show appreciation. Don't neglect them and they won't neglect the patients. Just my opinion. And please teach a class tslking in the hall ettiquit. Anyone who's been in the area for a considerable time, knows Greene Memorial did not have a good reputation. All that changed once they joined the Kettering Network. I have been in their ER a few times over the years and had surgery there last year. The staff is remarkable. I've yet to meet someone there that doesn't love their job. Made a slight mis calulation and sliced my fore finger on left hand. Needed to go to ER, When I arrived I was checked rather quickly. Then takin back to a room. Shortly thereafter a nurse came in and look over my finger. Very nice individual. Then a PA arrive a few minutes later and she looked at my finger. She went out to gather her equipment. During thirst time a Doctor came to look at my mis valuation and said it was going to need stitches as the PA had said earlier. PA came with what she needed and sewed me up 5 stitches in all. Good small local ER. Usually not too busy and they get you in quickly. Doctors and nurses seem like they really care (unlike Soin). They seem to listen to you and treat you like a person. I think you get good care at this ER. Much better than other ERs in the Dayton area read more

I was in the e.r. On 7/13/2018 and my service was very good by all. I had to return on 7/19/2018 for much of the same I was experiencing the week before. They admitted for observation and was given several tests because they thought I might have had a stroke. I was not able to walk on my own when I showed up. All the nurses and staff were very good except one doctor on 7/19/2018 that treated my wife like a fool. This hospital use to get a bad rap by almost everyone but now that Greene county has 2 hospitals things have changed here. I have been to Soin with my parents and once for myself and g.m.h.
