Our local Jiffy Lube noticed an issue with our truck and recommended Big Rhonda's in Holbrook. We dropped the truck off there. Ron called me and spent fifteen minutes on the phone explaining to me the issues of the truck, to convince me NOT to bother to fix the truck, but instead look for a new one (though a few of those minutes was about the quantity and quality of the mud under my truck and the various issues that the mud could cause me, and that it did cause him!). My husband and I picked up the truck and then commenced truck-shopping. Right now, there's a run on trucks and any that were available, we did not like. So I called up Big Rhonda's again, and Rhonda answered (I am not sure where she got the 'BIG' nickname, by the way, but she DOES have a charming accent!). I told her we had decided to get the truck fixed anyway, and she got Ron on the line. He AGAIN reiterated that he did NOT want to work on the truck - this is hardly the picture of a guy who is out to drum up unnecessary business! Big Rhonda's got the truck done fairly quickly and I WILL REMEMBER TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK AT 500 MILES, RON! - The truck drives entirely differently now, without a bunch of the little issues that had accumulated over the years. We were stranded for hours in a dangerous spot with heavy semi traffic. Tragically, a motorist checking his own blown tire from maybe the same pothole, was fatally struck by a semi at the same location shortly after (around 2:30 AM) while checking his own tire. Black older SUV. All other details are very graphic. My heart goes out to his family! The team at Future Tires got us back on the road , after a long night, safely with a temporary tire when no one else could help. He explains everything he did very conscientious about what he does and I like that in a person that's doing work on my car. They treat you with respect and that's a bonus too. It ended up being more involved that a simple flat tire, (spare would not come off, required a serious effort and even welding to deal with it) but he gave me 100% of his time even though his customers were waiting. He took care of everything efficiently and kindly to get me back on the road safely, even calling places to see where I could buy another tire that he did not have in stock.
