My husband and I were really looking forward to the deluxe couples massage experience at this place, but upon walking in we were not greeted with courtesy. We were told "yes, can I help you?" And we were given a very diminishing look. We told the receptionist that we had an appointment at 4:00pm with 30 minutes lounge experience before and after the appointment. When my husband called to confirm our appointment before arrival he was told to come in at 4:00, but mind you we had the deluxe appointment with the 30 minutes prior to our appointment. Upon arrival we were just showed to the back and the location of the shower and bathroom with no introduction of the facility or amenities. The receptionist did not even tell us where the towers or slipper were or how to work the lockers. She told us to give her a minute because our private room where we were supposed to have our lounge experienced was closed. She came back and told us that someone was already in there and that she took the charge off. No offer for accommodation she only said she took the charge off and she told us we could change in the corner of the communal lounge or the bathroom. The bathroom that everyone uses. We were not even offered a private room for us to change. The receptionist went back to the front and we asked if we could cancel and she said she could add the lounge time to after the appointment but we were already supposed to have lounge time afterwards. Then she said she could call the manager to try to cancel and she rushed us out saying we could leave because a couple had just walked in without confirm if we could even cancel. Overall a horrible experience, and very unprofessional staff. This was a completely waste of time. read more

***review is for the facility*** We enjoyed our brief time at Spa at Serenbe! First off, Serenbe is a community with local shops, residences, bike trails, horse back riding, bike and walking trails, and playgrounds. Its a hidden, modern, artsy, upscale gem in Atlanta..and even though (upon first sight) may not seem as diverse, everyone we encountered were incredibly friendly, helpful, and engaging. And the Spa is the cherry on top! I booked a session for their sauna and steam room usage, because I need the heat, but I wish I would've booked an entire spa day. I was so tempted to schedule a reflexology session, but unfortunately, we were a bit pressed for time. The entire facility was bright, airy, and open. And everything was clean and beautifully styled. They offer different types of massages and facials, and I believe they also have waxing and nail services too (but don't quote me). They also have several waiting areas, which makes it easy to have some personal space. We look forward to returning here..but base on my brief experience-I highly recommend. read more

This town is beautiful. The address I used didn't work but if you gps Halsa once you arrive in serenbe, you should be fine. It's a blue building and the spa suite is on the second floor. The infrared sauna was great but the steam sauna had a weird smell. I also had a wonderful deep tissue massage. We were given robes and slippers to travel around. The staff was great and accommodating. Refreshments were lemon water, mint tea, orange juice and champagne. There is a great view from the sitting room and lockers to place your clothing. Very relaxing and a wonderful stop for an anniversary. I may be back again to eat or ride horses in the town. read more

I booked a couples massage for a surprise proposal and we were able to surprise my brother and his fiancée. The space is so relaxing and the staff is absolutely amazing. I lucked up and walked in for an appointment. They had facials available, they walked us the facility and let us know where the robes were and to wait in the lounge until we were called back for our service. I believe her name was Diane, she called me to the back and let me change, was super attentive and asked what concerns I had with my face and she took great care of me even gave tips to assist with taking care of my skin. The whole process was super relaxing, afterwards she showed me to the lounge they had and sauna. Everything here was so peaceful and relaxing I could have stayed the whole day. read more

Despite being late for an appointment, my masseuse tended to me with care and intention. She focused on my shoulders and rid knots from my back I had no idea were there. She was interested in my personal life and how that affected the state of my body and its' problem areas. The facility itself was clean, and the staff was pleasant. However, I did find it unusual to have a gender-shared sauna and area where men and women wore only robes. I felt a bit uncomfortable with everyone utilizing a single bathroom to change clothes as there is no dedicated space inside the restroom to assist in this process. read more

However, after reaching out to the manager and describing my initial experience, I am pleased to say that my second visit was amazing!! Everything lacking on my first visit was better--a welcoming environment, a tour of the spa with instructions, and cheerful massage therapists (Victoria V. and Jennifer H.). THE BEST MASSAGE EVER!!!! I was in town visiting friends and we wanted a little spa day. We were able to get massages booked the day before I flew back home to Florida. I've been to many spas all over and this place was perfection. The spa is more of a boutique spa, modern but relaxing. Located in a very cute area with lunch options nearby. Jennifer was my massage therapist and she was perfection!!! I got the the hot stone massage and she was able to customize it to my problem areas and to the pressure I wanted. Her hands are magic and you must book with her. I seriously might have to visit my friends more often so I have an excuse for another visit to this spa. read more

Had a great time at Spa Serenbe. The accommodations were very nice. The rooms and the bathrooms were modest but very well decorated. We were given Champagne to celebrate a birthday as well tea before hand. They did have sanitizer out/practices great COVID precautions along with a place to put your tea cups and trash after use. I scheduled an appointment through the Inn at Serenbe. When I showed up for my couples massage, the attendant told me that the systems weren't the same and there was nothing that she could do. She showed no empathy. She didn't apologize. She simply went on to serve the next client. I will never book or go back. The Serenbe community is supposed to be a place of serenity and wellness. I was referred to Johnna by a neighbor to relieve the stiffness in my lower back muscles. Great referral. Johnna is trained in chiropractic message and works with athletes. This rating is primarily based on the front desk staff person who was incompetent because my masseuse Amanda was excellent. It was clear that he was not familiar with his duties as a receptionist. During the check in, I had to wait about ten minutes because he was unable to complete a transaction for a pair of women who had finished their services. After having to wait for an extended period, he proceeded to give me a very unsatisfactory and abbreviated tour of the facilities. I wasn't shown the area where I should leave my personal things once I disrobed and when he brought me to the infrared sauna room, he actually told me that I could figure out how to operate the sauna because it was self-explanatory. That's not what I want to hear when I'm coming to unwind at a spa for pampering. It shouldn't be self-explanatory because I'm here to be pampered, so show me how it freaking works!!! Once I settled in for my sauna and figured out how it worked, things improved. As I stated earlier, Amanda was excellent and gave me a very relaxing dry brush and massage. She was very attentive and asked me whether the pressure she was applying was what I wanted. Also, she created a comfortable environment, even though, I would recommend that they invest in better sun-darkening window treatments because this was a distraction during my service. Another recommendation would be to invest in a locker room that patrons could use to store their belongings in and change comfortably after their services. I understand that this is an upgrade from their previous location, but it's still not ideal. BTW, I didn't find out until after my service was complete that there were cubbies in a closet available where you can store your belongings. Once again, this should have been explained at check-in when it would have been most useful. read more

My hubs and I decided to have a date day at Serenbe starting off with massages, then heading to the Farmer's Market, then Farmhouse. Unfortunately, our day did not start out the way we had hoped. I had made reservations online for two massages at the same time and then I called to make sure the reservations had been made. When we arrived Spa at Serenbe, they only had one masseuse available. At my husband's insistence, I went ahead and got my massage (prenatal massage) but he had to wait an hour. The massage was exactly what I needed, but I wished they had compensated us or provided additional services given that we were not at fault. Instead, the receptionist apologized, returned our money to our card (since we had already been charged for two massages) and sent us on our way. So much for those sore muscles I needed help with. Also, paid for 60 min massage and am not sure it was even 30 minutes. There are only 2 rooms at the whole place, so be prepared to spend time waiting for "a room to open up". Overall - disaster. Save your money and utilize Serenbe for other things but definitely don't expect relaxing spa retreat. read more

During my trip to the Serenbe community, I decided to treat my myself to a massage and my Mom to one too! Turns out that we were actually the last clients to receive a spa treatment at their location on Selborne Lane. I agree with some of the other reviews that this location was a bit small. They only had two treatment rooms, one restroom, and a small waiting area with two chairs. Even though the establishment was small, the actual deep tissue massage that I received from Heather was amazing. I asked her to focus on my neck and shoulder and she did just that. Her technique with the different pressure points on my body helped me to leave feeling nice and relaxed. As with most massages, the hour flew by and I was wishing that I had picked a longer time! My Mom said that her deep tissue massage from Johnna was the best massage that she has ever received. My Mom suffers from Rheumatoid arthritis, so sometimes massages can be more painful than relaxing, but she said that Johnna knew just what to do to make her experience enjoyable. Johnna was also sweet enough to give my mom a small gift since it was her birthday month. I thought that was such a sweet gesture. They have now moved to a new space in the One Mado Wellness Building, where they now have 8 treatment rooms, an inside and outside lounge, a shower and infrared sauna. Let's be real-this is not a "spa." This is a tiny business with two treatment rooms. That's it. No lockers, no showers, no robes or slippers, no quiet waiting room, no anything. If you would like to wait on your companion, you can choose to sit in one of the two chairs awkwardly placed in the corner next to the restroom. The massage was not a massage, it was a light back rub. The extremities were ignored for the most part, including the area I had specifically asked for. Firm pressure was nonexistent. My companion had a different masseuse but the same back rub experience. If you want an amazing, relaxing experience, skip this place and go next door to the yoga studio for Julie's Yin Restorative class. read more

This is BY FAR the worst pedicure I've ever received for MANY reasons....selection of polish is very nominal, only OPI & colors did not look current. The pedicure chair is in the corner of a back hallway by the bathroom, next to towel storage. The biggest sign that things were going sideways was the absence of any sort of basin in which to soak your feet. Turns out they just don't do this - they don't tell you they don't do this - just jumped right in with removing polish. Nails were not trimmed (usually you are asked if you want them trimmed), just sawed away at my toes with a rough grit file. Little to no cuticle cream was used, pushed back cuticles only, nail edges were rough & look awful! Massage on dry feet with scrubbing salt only on foot to ankle, massage with a quarter size portion of lotion on the feet only (um, hello - legs typically part of the service) lasted about 30 seconds. 2 sloppy coats put on & no top cost bc the ONE bottle they has in salon was "gloppy & won't work". It also appears they only have 1 implement kit because the technician had to go clean them in between my pedicure & my friend's pedicure. The individual at the front desk I complained to said all this nonsense about how water could get bacteria in it, then changed course & said it's wasteful to use water for a pedicure & that Serenbe was a green community. While I do know Serenbe is a green community, this was a ridiculous comment when a spray glue in an aerosol can was used on our toes to dry the polish. Last time I checked, there is not much that is environmentally friendly about aerosol. They gave us 1/2 off our pedicures - this ridiculous pedicure was $38 & reduced to $19. While I appreciate the gesture, there is not a chance I would return here. For what my toes & feet look like - $19 was too much. read more

The best massage of my life with Diane and was introduced to Reflexology with Lyn, which was amazing!! Can't say enough about my experience here. The staff is very nice and professional; however, what is described on their website does not match the services provided. Two examples: the detoxifying seaweed body wrap is described on their website as a full body massage - there is no massage with this service. The therapist puts a seaweed lotion on the skin - this is as close to massage as you get. The second example is the Reiki which is described as channeling healing energy by touch. There is no touch whatsoever in this service. The therapist even described it as hovering. There are no lockerroom facilities to change / store your belongings and no relaxation area to go to after your service. All in all, it was an expensive let down. read more

I just spent the most amazing two hours that I can remember in a long time at the Spa at Serenbe. First of all Serenbe is a very special community - you have to see it to understand what they are building here. I'm visiting from Boston and thought i'd treat myself to a massage. They also had a men's facial available so I figured why not? What I didn't expect was the best massage of my life by the super friendly and gifted masseuse named Peter. I kid you not - the BEST massage. Their spa apparently moved to a brand new location within Serenbe and it was beautiful. The decor, staff and treatment spaces were sparkling. I then had a facial (which I was a little nervous about since it's been years since I've done one) and I was blown away by Darien. She explained everything she was doing, asked a lot of helpful questions and took great care of me. I left the spa feeling like a new person. Seriously - if you're in the Atlanta area it's worth the trip. I would highly recommend this great spa to anyone. read more
