Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The massage was one of the best I've ever had--highly skilled and incredibly relaxing. It was so soothing & ethereal. I tried out the very cold, plunge pool multiple times since I have read of its ice cold "rejuvenating powers" & it certainly was invigorating. We also spent time in the Moroccan-themed pods, enjoyed the steam room (we skipped the sauna), the waterfall pool &, capped off our Zen evening sitting by the firepit, perusing the night sky for shooting stars. Although we thought that the obligatory tip added to our bill/reservation was a tad high, our evening of pools with their ubiquitous & strong jacuzzi jets, star/mountain & deer gazing & quietude (there is a dedicated "shhh" person who walks around, reminding folks to not talk) was worth the price. The masseuse was barely touching me and when I repeatedly asked him to put more pressure, he ignored my requests. I had to show him where my knots were and even with that he wasn't working on them . The room was also so cold that my extremities were absolutely freezing. Apparently they lost power for the morning which likely contributed to this. At check out, they offered everybody 50% off of their thermal bath experience due to the power outage. But when. I told the manager about my massage experience he basically gave me a stink face and said they can't do anything about it. overall, I'd give the landscape and the outdoor facilities 5/5, but the customer service and massage is what brought my review down to a 2/5. The person I spoke with was very nice and helpful and fluent in English and French. She reviewed the rules and explained what we would need to bring, took my payment information, and sent a confirmation email. The spa was easy to find along the main road, and had ample free parking in front of the building. When we checked in, I showed the email at the registration desk and everything went smoothly. The staff member gave me flip flops to wear and keep, and a locker key attached to a wristband. She gave us an orientation and pointed out the different spa areas. Complementary caffeinate-free herbal tea was available and it was delicious! The facility is clean and beautiful, with views of the river and surrounding hills. We loved soaking in the hot water pools and then doing a quick plunge in the cold pool, followed by resting in the super comfortable hammocks. My massage therapist was attentive and skilled. We would love the opportunity to come here again!
