With hot saunas and steam baths inside, hot and cold pools outside as well and relaxation tents and a Finnish sauna, they also provide massages, facials and everything else you'd expect at a spa. They have an amazing after 5pm deal which allows you to use their facilities for a mere $23. Bring your bathing suit, bathrobe, flip flops and home facial masks. I usually do the sauna, then the cold waterfall river dip, then the relaxation room circuit about three times to get the full effect and then chill out in their atriums with my mask on and shower everything off afterwards. Watching the waterfalls while inside inside the hot sauna, and then dipping into the frigid waters afterwards, will kickstart anyone's system. You will walk out a new person.

The staff member gave me flip flops to wear and keep, and a locker key attached to a wristband. She gave us an orientation and pointed out the different spa areas. Complementary caffeinate-free herbal tea was available and it was delicious! The facility is clean and beautiful, with views of the river and surrounding hills. We loved soaking in the hot water pools and then doing a quick plunge in the cold pool, followed by resting in the super comfortable hammocks. My massage therapist was attentive and skilled. All the hair stylists there are very skilled, wonderfully friendly and personal, and speak both English and French depending on your preference. I've been to different hair salons, charging prices ranging from $15 to $60, and though Studio Unik's hair cuts (with shampooing and dry styling) are only about $20-$25, this is the best place I've been to with a much higher quality than the price may imply. I've had my hair cut by several of the stylers there, and they're all meticulous, take great care when shaping your hair, and make sure that the end result looks great and professional. I found they're excellent at understanding precisely what you're asking for, and have the intuition of quality and experienced hair stylers. Also, an appointment is not usually necessary except in busy season (particularly, since it's located in a university and Cegep town, busy season is near graduation or prom time), or if you want a specific hair styler.

Lots of variants of products (soaps, laundry soap, bath bombs, creams, etc.) Owner took time to explain to us, in English, the process of the soaps. Lots of space in the shop. Prices are reasonable for these kind of products. Promotion of " Spend this much and get this many soaps " actually worth it. Samples of soaps given in our bags. Huge parking lot. The bad: The smell of the place can be overwhelming for people who are smell sensitive. Prices can look expensive for some. Place can get busy, very quick (we were by ourselves in the shop, but as we left, three cars pulled back-to-back in parking lot). Can be missed if you drive at a quick speed on the road going to the abbey. Covid restrictions: Masks obligatory. Hand sanitizer at entrance. Cannot say anything about social distancing as we were by ourselves, but owner made an effort to stay distanced from us. Plexi glass at cash.
