Nice and clean place. My person was Shirley or Shelly. Upon walking in, I was greeted and told it will be 10 mins for an hour back massage. I told her my problem areas were my neck, shoulders and lower back. She mainly focused on my shoulders. I like firm pressure and she did that without asking. First time going out to have any type of contact needed service and I have to say that this was a very nice experience. The staff was very much about their money, and I totally respect that. The Salon was clean and I was sanitized just a few steps into the place which was comforting. The woman providing my services did a great job! I typically hate being touched and when I choose to get a massage it is very hard for me to relax. Not the case at all here, She had me on the verge of falling asleep. I am not normally moved to leave reviews. But I had to here. The lady at the front desk is extremely nice and professional. Very sweet. Managed to squeeze me in. I've been to establishments like this before, so I wasn't expecting some big high end spa experience. Just a good solid massage. The issue was, with zero Chinese linguistic skills under my belt, I was not able to communicate with my masseuse effectively. And in short, she beat the living crap out of me, she rubbed her elbow hard over my spine. Not on my muscles to either side of it, ON THE BONE. I kept saying ow! and stop! and she would not. Eventually I had to push her off of me. She went and got the lady from the front desk, who came in. Now, bear in mind, I am not dressed, so I did not expect another person to just come into the massage room. But sure enough, she came in!!!, and I guess translated for me as to what was wrong, and what was hurting. It didn't do much. Then I was told to flip over so she could do my legs and feet. Her thumbnails were so long, she scratched the hell out of me. I have never left a massage with more pain than when I started. I feel bad because the lady at the front is so nice, but my lower back is absolutely in excruciating pain as is my left foot left forearm and right calf. Never again. Ladies be careful when getting a massage here. The male masseuse I had crossed my boundaries several times. I don't want to go into much detail but the more I think about my experience the grosser I feel. I very very rarely write reviews but I've now had 1 pretty good experience and one bad experience at this spa. Today went on for a neck and shouler massage. I asked the masseuse to not use as much pressure several times. He spent 15 of the 20'minutes of the massage on 1 shoulder blade and then asked me if I wanted more time. I wasn't feeling that it was even worth it to continue and he should have been more balanced in his approach. Once at the front desk, I spoke to the front desk person and voiced my disastisfaction. Neither he nor the masseuse commented except to laugh and discuss me not in English. Lulu gives the best massage I've ever had in my life, and I have been getting a massage regularly for years. I have a chronic pain disorder, and I need a massage that treats this issue. I know that she's capable of giving "medium," pressure my boyfriend saw her, but I need something stronger - and she can deliver! She has really creative, effective techniques for really getting to the root my pain issues. I tried to handle this in person but was unable as there was no manager available on site. Me and three of my friends had a massages here Wednesday evening. Everyone's masseur was too hard and we each told them to go gentler, be lighter multiple times. I left sore but understand that often happens, this isn't my first massage. The next day I woke up covered in bruises and in a lot of pain. A LOT of pain. Bruises so deep and dark that I had to go to the doctor to be sure there was no internal damage. They covered my spine from the base to the bottom of my skull (scary!). After my doctor's visit I went by spa palace to speak with a manager and show pictures of the results of their service. I was met with someone that claimed to only know the word "massage?" Then put me on the phone with someone who I also couldn't clearly understand and couldn't tell me when a manager would be available on site. I was left with no other recourse but to write this review and file a complaint. Do not go here- they are too aggressive, they were too heavy-handed for all four of us. this was the opposite of relaxing and although it was only 30 minutes it couldn't end fast enough. There seems to be no management nor customer service. Are their masseurs even licensed? I see a "manager responses" here so maybe I'll be able to get a reply this way. read more

I have chronic shoulder and neck tightness. Because of the lockdown it's been month since I had a massage. My favorite place in Greenpoint closed for now so I dipped into this place. It's clean and bright and plays the perfect relaxing music not some pseudo Asian New Age stuff for exotica obsessed tourists. The man who worked on me was strong and really dug into my very stiff muscles. He explained in broken English through his mask that my tendon from my shoulder down my arm had poor circulation. He dug in hard and pulled back the precise amount I needed when the pain was too much (I am a big-muscled guy who needs a strong hands and elbows approach). It was perfect. I kept adding time to my initial 15 minutes up to 30. It was a dollar a minute (cheaper if you get the hour massage or various combo meals like foot and back, etc.) and worth every penny. All in all the best place I've been to outside of Chinatown NYC. I'll be going there again soon. read more
