The room was very nice, comfortable, and cozy, and the bathroom lighting was warm and pleasant. However, there are two things that could definitely be improved. First, the conditioner in the bathroom seemed spoiled -- it looked like decomposed milk, so we could not use it. Second, breakfast was not included, and when I asked the night before about the breakfast hours, we were told it was served until 11:00 AM. The next morning, however, we were told the schedule had changed, even though the paper with the hotel information had not been updated. At 10:50 AM, they told us that if we wanted, we could pay for lunch instead. Honestly, I thought it was a joke.

I closed the blinds, turned off all my cell phone alarms and nestled into the high quality sheets and BAM! what the? Woke up to the sounds of two dogs barking. Wait this is a dream. No. is that in the room next to me? That's right you got it, I am sleeping in a dog friendly hotel. Good news is Rover can stay the night, but if you plan on sleeping in, maybe even just a wink, don't plan on it. You may be staying in a room next to Cujo and his brother. Omg no way. Ok, so I call downstairs to mention the dog barking. But. It continues. I decide to just get out. I mean, check out. So I spoke to the manager who is pleasant, but I'm in such a bad mood I Didn't even want to get breakfast. Definitely first world problem, but I strongly suggested that if a hotel guest is going to be placed to room next to a guest with dog said guest should be forewarned, at least. There was not even a sign that this dog friendly hotel. No dog treats in the lobby no nothing. Just the sound of two rabid sounding dogs. The Hyatt grounds are nice. It is in Baytown after all. If you your best friend is barking for Pete's sake , take them on a walk. They have pent up energy, unlike their owners do, for allowing them to bark as if their lives depended on it. This would deliver on all fronts. Cozy. Fun. Chill. Surprising. Energetic. These are the words that kept coming up for me and the party I was with. Pair a great night of organic entertainment with wine and craft beer and what's not to like? We started with a moscato and ended with a sweet red wine blend. Prices are what you'd expect and buying by the bottle was very doable. My guy had several German beers while others in our party stayed on the lighter side with craft beers from Galveston Bay Brewing. Whatever you like, there are options. It's very relaxed and has a great social feel to it. OK, so I loved everything about this. The music, the lighting, the performances... All of it. From the road, the building sits quietly in the dark. You would never know all of this is behind two nondescript black doors. The aerial artist was so beautiful and graceful. We found out that she's also a nurse! She had amazing strength and agility. Well done! Currently, preformances are from 8-9pm Wednesday - Saturday. We arrived at 7:30, which was perfect. Gives you time to get your drinks, find a seat, and get settled. Be sure to check out their wall of world records in the hallway to the restrooms. The drinks were reasonably priced, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff was welcoming despite us arriving so close to closing time. So, we walked down the dark hallway and pushed open door #3 (hence the name) to find this super cool speakeasy bar.
