We are in our late 40s and it was younger crowd but we didn't feel completely out of place. I like the live music. If you're an old head, then the DJ music may not be your speed, but the live music was good. there was a young lady singing with a guitar accompanying her. i'ma pretty hard grader but I would go back.. the wings were $12 for the special six wings and fries . it was pretty reasonably priced in my opinion. They did get service right shout out to the server who served us their name was El. Because of the service and the lady who was singing (she started around 9) I give the place 7 out of 10. Decent parking in their private lot yet the space is small so come early if you want a place to sit or a table. Otherwise you'll be standing. The bartenders are friendly and quick with a strong pour. It was too crowded for me as it was hard to walk from one side to the other. I do appreciate the security yet the lines for the bathroom were annoying as they're are only 2. The dj was cool kept the vibe going all night. Decent pricing for drinks and Decent hookah for the city at $25. The worst service I've ever experienced here and I've been coming since 2022. The female dread head server/ bartender with reddish brown dreads is the worst server here by far. I came in at 4pm on a Tuesday. The crowd was dead for the most part. Why did it take me walking up to the hostess to order? After the server stated she would be with me shortly she proceeds to make several drinks ( when she could've asked for my drink order at least) then takes a toast and lallygag with her friends or people she knows at the bar still not coming back to take my order. Cool hidden speakeasy-style entrance and a fun vibe overall. They have private lot parking, but it's limited. Get there early if you want a seat or table--otherwise you'll probably be standing. This spot is cool, when you walk in you have the hostess in front and also cigars. The bookshelf you see when you walk in is a door and soon as you walk you see the bar and tables. It's not that big but a nice size for a date or with your friend. It's a cigar place and also a hookah friendly spot. They do have like band that comes earlier in the evening. We stumbled upon this place and decided to go, although we didn't have a reservation. Lucky for us they were able to seat our party of 3 and the place was an entire vibe!!!! The live artist were amazing and although I don't smoke hookah, it wasn't overpowering that it couldn't enjoy myself. I love going to Urban Smoke for their happy hour. The food is amazing and the pricing is right. There are very few places I find in Houston that offer food and drinks for happy hour anymore, and Urban does that. Depending on the day there will be live music during the later end of happy hour. It's intimate and cozy and reservations are highly recommended for groups of 3-4 people. Seating is very limited. The cook with the dreads is rude‼ I ordered a po boy half catfish/shrimp and She put one side catfish but the other side she cut up the catfish into small pieces and put 2 small half pieces of a shrimp.
