When I sat down I was approached by the manager who immediately said she knew who I was and that she saw my review and questioned why I was there. She was upset that I had left my review and not given her a chance to do something about it. I explained that I had spoken to the supervisor that day and what they said so I didn't think to contact anyone else because I was not happy with that supervisor. She explained that she would have done something about it but that just posting about it did not help her students or their business. I listened and have to agree. I was upset and should have waited to post my review and maybe tried to talk to someone else. The manager was upfront and so was I. She was right in that I should have made an effort to resolve it and give them a chance to fix my hair. I'm very open and I would never post a review I would not say to the person's face. I did not mind her approaching me and I did apologize for the knee jerk review because I was upset. I really like this manager and have seen her there previously but not on the day of the review. Today Mindy did a great job and she was very professional and personable. She made sure to explain steps and what she was doing. My hair came out better than I had expected. Patience is key but they also need constructive criticism to grow and become professionals. They offer all different hair services at very fair prices. There is even a barbershop. I was amazed by the men's haircut going in and out. They have the nail area and even offer massages. Everything is walk in basis but massages do require an appointment. For the nail experience...my nail tech was very friendly. She did everything by the guidelines. It felt very clean. I will disclose that I chose the color red and apparently according to her red, white and black are the most challenging. While the student was learning and had a marvelous personality, this was the longest pedicure of my life. It was over 2 hours!!! My toes looked a little uneven and rough even after all this time. I am fully aware they are learning and I felt bad that I needed to go but I did not anticipate over 2 hours for the pedicure. I had to opt for regular polish on my nails and skip the manicure because I couldn't be there any longer. As a mom of two.... 3 hours or more for nails is not practical for me. The nail tech was very apologetic. I would say if you come here...make sure you have plenty of time. I certainly did not get what I paid for and this was partially my fault. I would like to come back and try it again and perhaps other services but I'm a little terrified of the time duration.

Well they shampooed with some kind of mint shampoo. I went back to the station for blow dry and my scalp was completely red, teacher said it was from mint shampoo not color. The color didn't take at all. After spending 2 1/2 hours there she said my hair was resistant I told her it wasn't resistant the 1st time I came when Rosie prepared the formula or even when I used Loreal. Her response was it happens when we age. It has nothing to do with age its the formula she prepared. She told me to come back Thursday and she would try another formula. When my husband saw my hair he said you are not going back there again. I agree my hair is a mess and scalp is red and irritated. My hair was healthy when I went in, now it's very dry and burnt. I am using conditioning treatments to try to restore it. I am so sorry I went here. I knew it was students that did the service but that teachers oversee their work. I guess I didn't count on the teacher to be so incompetent. I learned a valuable lesson.

I walked into this hair studio with a whole dilemma and was unsure if they were able to help me …read more When I first arrived, everyone was super friendly, really nice and very professional. I was able to explain what was going on and what I was wanting. I sat in two students chairs. The first one was Duke, he cut my hair as well as washed it. I showed an example of what I was looking for, but I also advised that if they had to go shorter or if they couldn't achieve the look that I wanted that they can go ahead and cut as much off as needed because I'm not afraid of scissors or clippers. I didn't get the exact cut that I want, but Duke did an amazing job on my haircut. His instructor was right there, guiding him, and he followed her directions to the T. After my cut, he gave me a good hair wash And molded my hair down and sat me under the dryer. The next chair I went to was a young lady named Slim. She flat ironed my hair and gave me some curls. The only issue I had with that was the hairspray that they use, it did make my hair crunchy, and I did have to go and buy some oil sheen so that I can rake and finger comb my hair at home, I did not like the crunchiness. I prefer the soft curls as it's easier to manage for me. Other than that, she did an amazing job curling my hair, especially how short it is. She did mention it was her first time putting curls into her hair, super short, but she did a good job. The instructor, Miss E, was assisting when needed and was always close by. I was afraid of coming in because it is a school and students would be performing the work, but to be honest with you they are really good And if they are unsure of anything, they ask her instructor who would guide them or either step in. For me, it was really worth the try, because I love my hair. My haircut came out amazing.. The prices are really good as well. I would definitely be coming back.
