Never again! This place is money hungry and will charge for every little thing you need. They charged me for a script for medicine and wrote it for the wrong meds. When brought to their attention, they denied it was their fault. They expected me to drive out there pay a second fee for the script, because they can't admit fault. They didn't even spell my name right. You get a nasty attitude from these people. Their honest reviews tell the truth about who they really are, just read some of them. I just think it's not good practice to take advantage of people who are struggling to pay their bills or on a budget. I paid over $250 and they still want more! Look for for more honest place to take your loving pet; because they don't care about your pet, just how much they can charge! read more

We were a long term loyal client of Space Coast Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Sonya Pearson. We brought our cat in for her annual grooming which requires her to be sedated. When we got her back she couldn't stand up or eat on her own so we were forced to take her to an emergency vet In the middle of the night which ended up at a cost of $2000. We immediately booked a follow up appointment with Dr. Pearson and were greeted with an arrogant pompous attitude were we learned she was under sedation for about one hour with Dr. Pearson supervision during the grooming. This was alarming as she is usually only kept under for a max of 15 min. When we asked what had happened we were told "I don't have a crystal ball". Will NEVER BE BACK and hope to save other pets from the same fate. read more

I arrived within the drop off window (8-9am) as was communicated to me for grooming. Upon arrival I was dismissed by the groomer, and abruptly told (for the first time) that the drop off time for grooming was 8:15 am and that my appointment was given to someone else after I did not show up. I never received a call about the change in drop off time nor any notice that my appointment was forfeited. I have a senior 3lb Yorkie that could have easily been accommodated for an overpriced wash. This place is only interested in making money the easiest way they can. There is zero compassion, for the pet or the owner. I pleaded with the team there offering personal information in hope of some understanding for the apparent miss communication, but I was just met with a cold no. I will not be going there and hope you reconsider too. How someone acts with you says a lot about how they will treat your furbaby. read more

Every person in the staff is both friendly and professional, from reception to grooming to the kennel technician. Dr. Pearson is capable, thorough, and pleasant; most importantly, she takes her time with her patients. As an all-in-one stop for all my pets' needs, I was able to kennel both my dogs and have some procedures performed during their stay at very reasonable prices. The search for a quality veterinarian is over. I am comforted to know that my dogs will receive the finest care in an exemplary facility with exceptional personnel for the rest of their lives. Started out a nice vet, seemed to care about our dog as much as a vet can. After a few years, EVERYTHING became a money-grab! She wouldn't even talk on the phone without asking you to come in and then it became an office visit charge. Even if it was just one question! The visits became non-caring and cold. She even laughed when we were talking about our dogs cancer diagnosis. I think she thought she was being funny to lighten the mood. I will NEVER go back to this vet. As well as I will never recommend her to anyone I know. Very disappointed. Very disconcerting to trust your pet who's like a family member to someone who clearly needs to hang up their stethoscope! Do the community a favor and retire. Leave the GOOD, COMPASSIONATE care to the vets that deserve the business. I'd give a lower rating if I could. read more

After 2 or 3 missed diagnosis of easy stuff i would have changed vets but this clinic is my local clinic and i wanted it to work out with this place. But they are just Not the best i have been going there the last 3 years with all 4 of my dogs and my bills are not insignificant you would think they would offer me a multi dog discount or something especially since im not a breeder but no. They begrudgingly give me back to back appointments with my dogs i cant even bring 3 of the 4 in at a time. I have to take 2 then drive home get the other 2 if i am lucky. F this when my bills are 400 plus a trip you would think they might do something to help me like hold a dog for a moment so i can go to the running car and get another, but no. Nothing. It's stupid they are my neighborhood vet and but they hardly say hi when i walk in. I'm a nice friendly person and you would think after 3 years there would help facilitate easier visits. read more

Not my favorite vet and we have had a lot!! Dr. Pearson is good and caring but dealing with front office and policy/procedure can be difficult!! Hours are great! con they charged me $85 for dog chewable for joints when I visited and they highly recommended and of course like an idiot bought on site. Later to find out you can get from product from chewy (oh which I highly recommend they are AWESOME! We get our royal canine dog food from them free shipping and great cost/excellent customer service) for $35 no RX AND FREE 2 day shipping. I get they need to mark up but REALLY$$$$ 150 percent!! I had to pick up Rx for online order with another vet because they don't verify via phone fax or email!! REALLY!! I have transferred my pups care to another Vet!! I arrived in FL from Northern CA in April, and needed a vet, first to test for heart worm, and then to prescribe a preventative. Space Coast is close to my home, which offers convenience. However, I wanted a really GOOD vet... someone I could rely on for the rest of his days. The reviews online strongly urged me to give Dr. Pearson a try. For as long as I've had him, Hoover has had what two other vets have implied were congenitally lousy ears, that would likely plague him for his entire life. They were squishy, stinky, and painful, requiring constant care to keep the endless black gunk under control. During the consultation, I mentioned the problem to Dr. Pearson, who took ONE look and pronounced the gunk as a fungus, likely produced as a result of an allergy. Instead of a lot of expensive tests, she suggested that either component of his diet (kibble and boiled chicken) could be the culprit, and suggested I withdraw first one and then the other, for a few weeks at a time, to see what happened. Long story short, I substituted the kibble first, with a grain-free variety and Hoover has a new lease on life. Not only are the insides of his ears now pink as a baby's bottom, but they no longer stink nor are they painful to the touch. Furthermore, the scab-like lesions on the tips of his ears have healed, and his coat looks better than it ever has before. Looking for a vet? Try Dr. Pearson. You won't be sorry. read more

Just over a year has passed since I had such a horrific ordeal at this veterinary office. My geriatric dog was to be euthanized, and this was not a good thing to witness at this vet's office! The vet and staff almost seemed inexperienced with this procedure. I was in such shock, and still am, from what I witnessed that awful day. Never have I (ever) seen such horror.... & I've dogs euthanized before, sadly. My poor dog was writhing as the vet administered the one, and only, injection. She was not given the sedation beforehand. Such a cruel act, performed by someone who I thought was kind & caring. I tried to comfort my dog while waiting for her to pass. This vet only stood & watched; she then whispered into my ear, there would be "no charge" for the additional items. What??? I had no clue what she was talking about. I did receive a bill a couple of weeks later, charges for other items; meds, supplies. I did not pay it. I will never return to this veterinary office, nor will I (ever) recommend her. She left me with such a sad memory of my poor old girl. read more

Brought our dog from regular vet down here on vacation indicating r front breast removal near front leg. Doctor wrote down rear leg breast removal even though we both checked and drained from the r front w palpable mass still there after antibiotics from her reg vet. Dr said it needed to come out ASAP but removed wrong one. when confronted dr claimed rear nipple also had bloody drainage& new mass. If so this suddenly appeared 3 days something that took months to grow in r front which is not surgically indicated if it is so new . Got her back w/sutures from wrong surgery + drainage & lump still here near her r front arm just like I wrote down on the adm report & surgery request, just like they would have read had they gotten history from reg vet (we signed for them to do & they said they'd do prior to surgery!). Normally 0 stars but vet did refund $250 although bill was $450 w/junk addons our vet does NOT require. Bought new lg bag of food + 1/4 bag she already had to be sure she had plenty. Forgot to give back. Again did reimburse so I have to say despite the mistakes &oversights wrong surgery, dr did refund a little. Just bothers me I spent $450 & problem mass & draining infection is STILL here! Mistaken surgery, out $200 uneccesary pain & cutting I STILL need to get a done this week. 0 stars for mistake &inattention to detail, misdocumenting &failing to palpate mass we wanted removed failure to get reports they pretended they'd get, charging for head 2 toe physical where rear prob was never seen or mentioned the day I dropped her off or the previous week w reg vet. When we both drained front one to b removed, Breast masses don't grow 3 days in need of surgery while ignoring existing, draining mass well documented by owner &dogs reg vet. Too many errors & oversights lacking standard medical triple checks to risk this vet again. These are the kinds of mistakes that have wrong limbs removed wrong surgeries done wrong side of head operated on these mistakes are not small. Use your options seek competent careful vet, don't do like we did and trust they will do everything they promised not gathering reports and not doing what they tell you despite it all being in writing managed to still remove something newly invented that nobody else saw while the problem is still there & we're out a painful dog & couple hundred 4 naught. read more

Dr. Pearson is very emotionless, compassionless, and extremely robotic. She never smiles and is not friendly towards the parents. My cat had dental issues Dr. Pearson "missed" on the first visit and had a dental cleaning and 2 extractions on second visit, but still had abscesses. Due to my cat's age, Dr. Pearson pretty much ignored my cat's dental complications and blamed it on TMJD. She even charged us for a full examination, even though we were constantly going back for the same dental issues and a full examination was not completed with each visit. Dr. Pearson prescribed my cat an "off label" NSAID that the FDA states should not be given to cats because it causes death via pancreatic attack. I did not know this until after the fact and my cat was on death's door with an acute pancreatic attack and allergic reaction to the medicine. Due to it being Friday, Dr. Pearson prescribed her a steroid, which made my cat much worse. I had to take my cat back to her Orlando veterinarian on Monday and then immediately to AVS for extensive treatment. read more
